Pride Month deserves a cocktail that refuses to blend in. The Rainbow Paradise is bright, colorful, and layered with as much personality as the people it’s celebrating. Fun, festive, and impossible to ignore—just the way a great party should be. 🌈🍹

00:08Welcome to this episode of Bottoms Up with LBF and Dave Helcone. We're sitting on our deck on
00:15this beautiful night and I can't breathe because I'm sucking in pollen. But that's okay. Literally
00:20waves of pollen blowing across the sky. But it's a beautiful color. It's green and it's pride.
00:26We should add it to our drink. Yeah, I know. It will be on the top. It's pride month and
00:31we wanted to do a drink. We've got the colors. We've got the rainbow colors. We've got red. We've got
00:37blue. We've got orange. And what's the name of this drink again? It's called the rainbow drink. No, it's not.
00:44The rainbow paradise. Oh, the rainbow paradise. Rainbow paradise. Let's make it. We're making it now? We're going? Yeah, go.
00:51One ounce of grenadine. We got the cheap store bought with grenadine, but who cares? Okay.
00:56So this is this drink you build in the glass and we have a fancy tall glass here. So you
01:02build it right in the glass. There's no shaking, no stirring or anything. You just build it. So here we
01:06go. One ounce of grenadine. And what you're going to do is you're going to pour this syrupy concoction right
01:11into the bottom of the glass. Okay. Just like that. You see? I have a cup of ice.
01:18I'm going to pour it in. Okay? Yeah. Thank you. Put the ice right in. All the way in. All
01:23right. So here's what you're going to do. You're going to take this, the coconut rum, and you're going to
01:27pour it over there. What do we have? Two ounces? Just relax, baby.
01:30I forgot the spoon. No, this doesn't need the spoon. Go get the spoon. But I need the spoon. Go
01:34get the spoon while I do this. Now I'm going to pour it very gently over the ice.
01:41See how calm I am? Now that's done there. All right. Give me this. Oh, do you see the layers?
01:46Pour that in. Three ounces of this guy. All right. Let's go. I'm going to do it. Three ounces up.
01:50You hold the spoon. I'm going to do this. You're going to pour it over the back of the spoon.
01:55That lays it in there gently, allegedly. Okay.
02:03Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Don't worry. I got it. Nope. I do have it. Don't just tell
02:14me no. It's going to layer. It is. It's working. You're doing it, Lauren.
02:18I'm only going to put two ounces in here because we're not in room. Did you notice that? Yeah. We'll
02:23see. All right. That's good. Okay. Did you just drink that?
02:27Okay. It's OJ. Okay. Now we got. Now we're doing the blue carousel in. Here it is. It's literally blue.
02:36One ounce. And, uh, yeah. That was not one ounce. Was it? Well, it wasn't a full ounce. I was
02:44going to pour a little more in. Oh. I got my own way of thinking. Yeah. Just, just do a
02:49little, little bit of water in there. Okay. Give me that. Now we're going to do it again.
02:57Now here comes the layer. This is a very exciting for us because, you know, we're layering. Go gentle now.
03:09Can I do this? Give me this. What are you doing?
03:13Oh, my God. You and I are getting.
03:17Because the, okay.
03:20It's tricky because I should have used something with a little bit of a lip.
03:23But that's okay.
03:25Don't worry. Now what?
03:27It doesn't look like the picture.
03:31Not bad, though. Look at that.
03:32Yeah, okay.
03:34Red, orange, and blue.
03:35And now what?
03:36That's it.
03:37That's it? And then you put.
03:38You could drop a cherry in there if you'd like.
03:41He's so mad at me because I don't know.
03:43All right.
03:53Okay.
03:54And then a straw?
03:56Sure.
03:57There you go.
04:06I needed it to go quickly.
04:09Come on.
04:09Have a sip, my love.
04:10That's what you're serving?
04:12Oh, my God.
04:13Don't you think?
04:14I think it's beautiful.
04:16Yeah, it doesn't look like the picture, but nothing ever looks like the picture.
04:19Even that shirt at Target.
04:24Try it.
04:25Now you've got to stir it up because it's going to be gross if you don't.
04:27You try it.
04:28You insisted on making it.
04:30Go ahead.
04:30Oh, my God.
04:31You're so mad right now.
04:37You only got one layer at the bottom of that straw.
04:40Well, now it just looks like mud.
04:43Yeah, but you have to stir it because it's right.
04:49I think it tastes delicious.
04:54Oh, it does taste delicious.
04:57I mean, you could...
04:58Forget the layers.
04:59Just mix it all up.
05:00It tastes delicious.
05:01And it's purple-ish.
05:04Listen, this is a drink...
05:06Wow.
05:08This is a drink...
05:09Sweet, but fun.
05:10...that you will drink two of these and you won't be okay.
05:16I think one's okay.
05:17Maybe half of one is enough.
05:19I know, half one.
05:20Bottoms up, though, okay?
05:22Right?
05:23Bottoms up, LVF.
05:25Happy Pride Month, everybody.
05:26Let's be friends.
05:26Let's be friends.
05:27Let's be friends.
05:28We're going to be really friendly after this.
05:30Oh, jeez.
05:32Yeah, but you know what?
05:33That's fine.
05:34That's what I used to drink with my grandmother.
05:35She would make me Shirley Temple's and watch the Lawrence Welk.
05:37So, can I just...
05:38I'm telling a story, but I guess it doesn't matter.
05:40I was telling a story with my dead grandmother.
05:42Lawrence Welk.
05:42And he's like, I've got to make this drink.
05:45Tell me the Lawrence Welk story.
05:45Now it's over.
05:46Go.
05:47The people need to know.
05:48I know this story.
05:49I already finished it, but you were talking over me.
05:51It's fine.
05:52I used to drink Shirley Temple's with the Grenadine,
05:54that my grandmother bought me,
05:55and watch Lawrence Welk.
05:57The end.
