00:00I have the impression that your film, more than a horror, is a kind of survival movie.
00:06You talk about how humanity can survive in an infected world.
00:13I mean, in essence, the film's about how we survive.
00:19And the big question of survival, the human race surviving.
00:23I think those are big questions.
00:25And now, I mean, I think we're all a bit blinkered to the real challenges of survival, which are around
00:31us anyway, for real.
00:33And, of course, within communities that are trying to survive, you know, they're always going to be the people who
00:40have a sense of care, connection, empathy.
00:44But then, of course, like in many communities, you have the people who define their reason for being by acts
00:53of violence and destruction and sadistic.
00:58For me, the movie's really about choice, isn't it?
01:00Like, you know, in this world where society is gone, all the things you lean on for a sense of
01:05moral right and wrong, all that stuff's gone.
01:07And what do you lean into, what do you lean in, what do you lean on?
01:10And, you know, on one hand, you have, like, this cruel, violent dogma with the jimmies.
01:15And I think the movie's offering these options, saying, like, we're not inherently anything, but we can decide how we
01:25want to live when we make meaning for ourselves.
01:27And so that was really exciting for me to explore.
01:30And so that was really exciting.
