00:08I have declared a seven-day period of national mourning,
00:12during which the national flag shall fly at half-must across the Republic of Kenya
00:18and in all our missions abroad.
00:22As a mark of respect, I have postponed all my public engagements
00:28for the coming days, and I ask all other public servants and leaders to do the same
00:36so that we can join the nation in this period of mourning and deep reflection.
00:44Our former Prime Minister, Raila Amolo Odinga,
00:48shall be accorded a state funeral with all attendant honors.
