00:00Mr. Loh, being Vladimir Putin, you try to show us why he makes all these things. What do you think
00:10about?
00:12Yeah, it's the character of Vladimir Putin within a story context. So I was freed quite
00:19early on by Olivier that it wasn't about making assertive statements. It was about playing
00:27a part in a story. And the story provoking or demonstrating the machinations of politics
00:38and that being the point of debate and question and starting conversation. Any good story looks
00:48at characters' emotion and transition and relationships are always key. And what was
00:54at the heart of this was the transformation of Baranoff, but also, as Paul just said, the
01:02influence on each other, of this role of power, I suppose, and seeing the two of them very
01:11different men watching, learning, and morphing together. And I suppose at the heart of that
01:20is the statement of the film.
01:21of this film.
