00:00These guys dress like they won the championship already.
00:03The only thing missing is the cigars and the champagne.
00:07Got ourselves an entire Knicks family right here.
00:10We got generations.
00:11What's up, buddy?
00:14All right, all right.
00:16Great block, Mitch Robb.
00:17Great block.
00:18Rocking that throwback, Patrick, Ewing jersey.
00:21Vibes are high around the city right now.
00:24How long have you been a Knicks fan?
00:26So I grew up in a Knicks family.
00:27My grandfather, my mother, they were big fans of the 99 Knicks.
00:31They were big fans of Patrick Ewing.
00:33My mom used to watch him play when he was at Georgetown.
00:36So if this goes back, we're so excited.
00:38This means so much for the city and for New Yorkers.
00:40I still remember the Patrick Ewing Miss finger roll.
00:43I still remember that.
00:45So a lot of tough years, a lot of years, you know, not getting past the Pacers, the Bulls.
00:51So this is, I feel like we're close.
00:54We're almost there.
00:55Since I was born in 1992, and I grew up in that era where, like, we were just dominating.
01:01But obviously Jordan existed.
01:03And then after that, some rough years, some rough coaches, some rough players.
01:09My lowest point was probably I got seats behind the bench for about 800 bucks.
01:14And our lineup was Jose Calderon.
01:18And honestly, I can't even tell you, oh, Bargnani.
01:21Yeah, that team.
01:22So that's our fandom.
01:25How long have you been a Knicks fan, sir?
01:27It's 1969.
01:29We're going to go way, way back.
01:30When Clyde, we're going to talk about Willis Reed.
01:33Patrick Ewing was a generic baby.
01:36You know what I'm saying?
01:37We're going to go back.
01:38You know, with Earl of Pearl.
01:40You know, John.
01:41I mean, we're going to go back.
01:42But let me tell you something.
01:44That's the history of the Knicks.
01:45Now, I thank God for Lil' Bronson.
01:47But he didn't make that back then.
01:49He wasn't even thought about.
01:50So we're going to keep it simple and keep it real.
01:53We're going to go with the legends of New York Knicks.
01:56And we thank God it took 50 what?
01:5953 years.
02:0053 years.
02:03Bronson wasn't even 30 back then.
02:05I don't mean to be no harm genetically.
02:07You know what I'm saying?
02:08So I'm a Knicks fan for life.
02:10From the old Madison Square Garden.
02:12This is the new one behind me.
02:14I took him out when I was like 9 to 10 years old.
02:18When Ringling Brothers Circles incorporated back then.
02:21So what we're going to say, thank God that the Knicks made it.
02:24And bring back history to New York.
02:26Thank God for Bronson.
02:28Thank God for Winpatrick and all.
02:30But we're going to stay with the legends.
02:32And thanks for letting me share.
02:34Down 13 points in the third quarter.
02:37We've seen this team do what they've done throughout the course of the postseason.
02:41Rally, play defense, and then let Captain Clutch put the thing to sleep at any point.
02:47Did you feel as though the Knicks were going to lose that game?
02:50No, definitely not.
02:51I felt like we were going to bounce back eventually.
02:53It just needed a stop here and there.
02:57And the guys to do what they've been doing, like you said, all season.
03:00We came back.
03:01It was crazy.
03:02Jalen Brunson got his ankle rolled or whatever.
03:05Someone stepped on it.
03:06It's all good though.
03:07We still won last night.
03:09And then we came back.
03:11And shout out Captain.
03:12Shout out Captain Clutch.
03:13Shout out Cat.
03:14Shout out Josh Hart.
03:15Heart of the city.
03:15And shout out OG, my favorite player.
03:17There's been so many times throughout the playoffs where, you know, the Knicks are down and Jalen Brunson just carries
03:23the team on his back.
03:24So, I mean, I feel like as long as we got Brunson, we got a chance.
03:28They're so hungry for it.
03:29They know that they're so close, but they're not resting on their laurels right now.
03:33They are still pushing.
03:34They're not celebrating.
03:35They're excited.
03:36But they're still there, still going, still fighting.
03:38What happened in the craziness last night after the win?
03:42Okay.
03:42So, last night we, not me, not me.
03:45We, they picked up the, they picked up these, the barriers, the gates.
03:50We picked it up, crowd surfing.
03:52People were jumping on top of there on 42nd.
03:56We're going crazy.
03:5842nd was going crazy.
03:59People were everywhere over here.
04:00We couldn't even cross the street.
04:02We're not allowed to cross the street after a certain amount, after a certain time.
04:06There was people fighting.
04:07There was people going crazy.
04:09And this one dude came with a Spurs jersey.
04:12Don't, please don't come over here with a Spurs jersey because, like, I didn't do nothing to him.
04:16But there are people doing, doing stuff to people with, like, that.
04:19So, that Spurs fan that rushed the court to take a pit of selfie with Wimby, with Mitch Robinson standing
04:25right there.
04:26You're saying that you, he wouldn't be able to do that at the garden, inside the garden, or outside the
04:33garden.
04:33No, you, don't, don't even come to Penn Station.
04:35Don't even get off the train in Penn Station.
04:37If you're going to come over here, just go upstate.
04:39Don't come over here.
04:40Especially if you're a Spurs fan, bro.
04:42Do not come over here.
04:43The Knicks, of course, they're going to win because New York is the best city in the whole world.
04:50Let's go, Knicks.
04:52Let's go, Knicks.
04:53So, when they win, are you going to be out here partying with all of the Knicks fans climbing the
04:58poles and all of the buildings?
05:00All Latin American people going to celebrate the Knicks.
05:04Why?
05:05There's a guy from the Dominican Republic playing with the Knicks.
05:08So, we're going to make a big, big party bachata merengue.
05:12Well, after the win, just keep it simple.
05:14Don't go climbing poles.
05:16Don't go trying to turn over no cars.
05:19Don't go start no fires.
05:21Now, I know you're going to get a little drunk, but get drunk in a sensible way and go home.
05:26You know what I mean?
05:27Don't get all high school running around tearing up folks' doors and carrying on.
05:32Because you're going to jail.
05:33Let me put that part in there.
05:35You know, and that's not real.
05:36What you do to the reputation of the Knicks is destroy it with that kind of behavior.
05:41You know what?
05:42I'm not mad at it, right?
05:43So, you know, again, I remember those teams of the 90s, you know, with Starks and Ewing and Allen Houston,
05:49right?
05:49And, you know, you don't get too many shots and too many cracks at an NBA final.
05:54So, you know, obviously it's one game at a time.
05:57But, you know, hey, I'm all for the celebration.
06:00If Jalen Brunson brings this city a championship, is he the greatest Knick of all time?
06:05You can definitely make an argument.
06:07You know, you can definitely, obviously you got Willis Reed back in the day.
06:10But Patrick Ewing had some really good years.
06:12But you can definitely, you definitely got to put him in the Mount Rushmore of the top Knicks players.
06:16Listen, he's the greatest Knick already just because he wants to be here.
06:19He wants to, he committed to the team.
06:22He wants a championship for the city.
06:24He understands what it means to this city.
06:26And that alone, just understanding what the magnitude of being the captain of this team means,
06:31it's like a Derek Jeter level.
06:33We haven't gotten that since Derek Jeter.
06:34So, he's already the greatest Knick of all time in my book.
06:37No, it'll be the team that become the greatest Knicks of all time.
06:41Don't one man make a team.
06:43You know, so you got to understand, long as the tide that bottom all together is going to be stronger.
06:49So, we understand the individual reputation that he carries.
06:53That's individual.
06:54But we're talking about incorporating the whole team.
06:56That's how the history is going to go down.
06:58I won't say the greatest, but he'll definitely be in the monumental stages of becoming the greatest.
07:05There's no disrespect to the greats.
07:07No disrespect to the greats because there's some greats in the past who, he won us a chip.
07:12He won us a chip.
07:13But, we're talking about the modern era, how hard they play now, how everyone's skilled.
07:18If Jalen Brunson wins us a chip, he will go down as the greatest Knicks of all time, for sure.
07:23I think he's the best in our era right now, in my era.
07:26Because I haven't seen Patrick Hewitt and Wolf Ranger.
07:28I have good news about them.
07:30But, I think Brunson is the best right now.
07:32If he can bring us that championship, absolutely.
07:35He can do it.
07:36What would a championship mean to you?
07:39To me, it would be, not just me.
07:41I feel like, to me, I was raised in Astoria.
07:46So, being a Knicks fan, I was young.
07:49So, I wasn't even, I was from 96.
07:53Knicks bringing the title home, to me, I just look at it, it just shows patience.
07:58And, believing in yourself, and like what I tell my kids, believing in something, that in patience and time, you'll
08:06see good results.
08:07For me, it's everything.
08:08I used to, I used to wake up in the morning, my Knicks bed sheets, Knicks pillow sheets, everything.
08:13Go to school, they used to have no board.
08:15Knicks lose again.
08:17Carmelo Anthony wasn't, I mean, I love Carmelo.
08:19I love Carmelo, but it's going to mean a lot.
08:22It means a lot, because I'm about to get emotional.
08:24Listen, we had kids at school telling me, oh, why are you supporting the Knicks?
08:27Why are you wearing that?
08:28Kids were saying, oh, they're not doing nothing.
08:30We won 17 games.
08:32They made a whole meme about us talking about Tengus Pingus.
08:34And I was the one supporting, like, yo, this guy's good.
08:37So, now, if Jalen Brunson wins us a chip, that means everything to me.
08:40That means my life.
08:41And if they lose or win, I'm going to cry regardless.
08:43So much.
08:46It would just be so exciting to watch New York basketball come back, after not being here for so long.
08:51I mean, everything.
08:52I think the city has been in a drought since, what, the 70s?
08:55So, you know, I'm a childhood, lifelong Knicks fan.
08:59So, I mean, it would mean everything to, not only to me, but to the city.
09:02What would a championship mean to him?
09:06I think that means I'll get a ring.
09:09Everybody getting rings.
09:10Oprah, you get a ring, you get a ring, you get a ring, too.
09:13We all get rings.
09:14Yes.
09:15If you win a ring, should we get another one?
09:17We're all getting wedding bands, everything, yeah.
09:19Oh, man, that would be a great thing.
09:21Because after waiting 53 years, there's still been a lot of guys to see me here, to stay here at
09:2767.
09:29Look at this young man, 67.
09:31They say, you ain't no sister.
09:3367, it'd be a great thing for me.
09:36You're definitely calling in to work the next day after the parade, huh?
09:39I feel like you're going to be partying, climbing up poles.
09:41No, I'm going to be at work partying while they be partying.
09:44Yeah, because the Knicks ain't paying my bill.
09:47Now, I want them to win, but they ain't paying my bill for me to stop working and come partying.
09:52Now, I'm going to party right through the hallway swinging that mop.
09:55Go, Knicks.
09:56And that's how it's going to go there.
09:58Let's go, Knicks.
09:59Three more, baby.
10:00Three more.
