00:00Now, the finals MVP is now Jalen Brunson
00:03at even money at plus 100 off his performance.
00:07Wemba Yama actually is about the same
00:10from where he was before
00:12because I guess no one really stepped up
00:13on the Spurs side to make a difference.
00:15Is it that simple, do you think?
00:18Basically, I think whichever team wins
00:20is going to be because of their best player.
00:22Now, Carl Anthony Towns on the outside looking in,
00:25he got a lot of credit for his performance last night.
00:28It almost was a little bit quiet
00:29just because Jalen Brunson was so loud
00:32in that fourth quarter,
00:33but they don't get there without Carl Anthony Towns
00:35doing what he did
00:36and not being afraid of Victor Wemba Yama
00:38and really kind of showing the best way
00:40to match up with him or as best as you can.
00:42So I think if Carl Anthony Towns
00:43turns in a couple of big performances in this series,
00:46we'll see him get some votes,
00:48but definitely makes sense
00:49that Jalen Brunson's leader in the clubhouse
00:51after scoring 30 points in game one.
00:53All right, so do you change your opinion at all, Gilbert,
00:56based off what you see in game one?
00:58Can a series completely change off that?
01:01Or is it possible that San Antonio
01:03can win a game in New York?
01:06Because it certainly seems possible.
01:07I mean, for people who don't think it can happen, Gilbert,
01:10let's not forget that San Antonio
01:12went into Oklahoma City in a game seven
01:15and won that series too.
01:16So is this a big overreaction
01:18to make the Knicks this significant of a favorite?
01:21I think a little bit of an overreaction.
01:23This definitely feels like another series
01:24that's going to go seven games,
01:26and I'm sure that there's a reaction
01:27to some of the action changing
01:29on how this series goes.
01:30But as you mentioned,
01:31this is the San Antonio Spurs team
01:32that won game one and game seven
01:35in Oklahoma City last series.
01:37Now, MSG is going to be a raucous environment
01:40once this series shifts to New York City,
01:43but the Spurs team seems like
01:44they're unfazed by those things.
01:46And in some shapes, forms of fashion,
01:48sometimes playing on the road is easier
01:49because you're not dealing with the pressure
01:50of your fans being so anxious
01:52about you performing to a certain level.
01:54You want to just play spoiler.
01:56You want to silence that away crowd.
01:58So I feel like the series is still a toss-up.
02:00I like the Knicks coming into this series.
02:02Actually, they just have a feeling of destiny, honestly.
02:05It's not really anything X's or O's
02:06or basketball-wise that makes me feel like
02:08the Knicks are going to win this series.
02:10And last night was kind of another reminder of that.
02:12It definitely felt like they stole that game.
02:14But we'll see how this series goes.
02:16I think that it's going to take
02:17a lot of different looks as the series goes on.
02:20And it's really hard to tell too early
02:21to forecast how it's going to go.
