00:00Cooper Flagg in his first game struggled a little bit in his debut
00:04versus the San Antonio Spurs.
00:06You've got to understand, folks, he did not get off to a good start.
00:09But after his big performance Sunday night
00:12and a better performance in game number two,
00:14Cooper Flagg's now averaging 16.7 points per game,
00:186.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, shooting 44% from the floor and 33% from three.
00:24Now, I think the three-point split is going to come up a little bit.
00:27I think it's going to be about a 36%, 37% shooter from three.
00:31But Cooper Flagg has shown you in part of why he's such a generational talent.
00:38I really consider him to be a chameleon, right?
00:41Someone that can impact the game in different ways,
00:45offensively and defensively, in the half-court and transition.
00:49And now, especially as the point guard and Jason Kidd's offense,
00:54obviously with Kyrie Irving being out and D'Angelo Russell coming off the bench,
01:00you now have Cooper Flagg running the point with, obviously, Clay Thompson.
01:08And I think this is something we're going to have to monitor with Cooper Flagg
01:12is his rebounds and his assists,
01:14his ability to impact the game in different ways.
01:18It wasn't the start that Cooper Flagg wanted.
01:21He did end up with a double-double opening game.
01:23But to me, what was most impressively with Cooper Flagg
01:26is his ability to run the point and really start to get better.
01:31Cooper Flagg will continue to improve as the season goes along for a Dallas team,
01:35I firmly think, makes the playoffs.
01:39Well, we've talked about a couple of workies that have done well.
01:42Let's talk about one that's not.
01:44And that's Dylan Harper's teammate Ace Bailey,
01:46who's off to an extremely slow start, getting one point, not 10, not 100,
01:53one, uno, point per game, three rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 10% field goal shooting.
02:01Now, I think eventually Ace is going to be a very good scorer in the league.
02:08Number one, what are we doing in Utah?
02:10I know Keontae George is a good player,
02:12but if you want to see if this kid is a good, put him in the starting lineup.
02:17Let him play.
02:18You're not going anywhere.
02:20It's obvious that you weren't tanking,
02:22and they either want Darren Peterson, you know, Cam Boozer, or A.J. DeBanza.
02:28So why are we playing around with this now?
02:31And then you've got this lineup that they're going with triple bigs,
02:34you know, with Markkinen and Kessler and Filipowski.
02:39You can't slide this kid in as a three right now, put Markkinen at the four?
02:43And Walker Kessler at the five?
02:44Maybe they're trying to get some kind of a trade package for one of these guys,
02:48but we need this kid to play, and we need to put him on the floor,
02:52because I do think he can score.
02:54So I'm not talking about it.
02:55I'm not going anywhere.
02:56So I know we're talking about him.
02:56Okay.
02:56So I don't know that there's a little bit of a trade package here,
02:57and that I think if he can work,
02:57and then, we need to put him on the floor.
03:02Like 25 Nachance, you know,
03:16obviously it's kind of a trade package.
03:17So we're just playing the game here,
03:19but we need more.
