00:21I think it was intentional for him to really give a love song, you know, to the community that raised
00:28him
00:28and allow him to be a community organizer. So, I think it's profoundly impactful to have it here.
00:34So, I am extremely excited. Really, I don't quite know all that's even in there because I haven't had a
00:40chance to go in yet, but I'm anticipating a lot of good things.
00:52Whether you're coming from across the street or on the other side of the world,
00:56we hope what people discover here, and which they in their hearts already know, is that ordinary people can do
01:02extraordinary things.
01:04And we tell those stories that really enabled President Obama to become president, the people upon whose shoulders he stands,
01:12the movements that led to the kind of change that allowed a black person to become president of the United
01:17States.
01:18At a time when there's so much kind of toxicity in the air, this kind of breathes new hope as
01:28like the permanent home for hope,
01:30where you can come here and be inspired and hope again. And not just hope, but take action.
01:36The Obama Presidential Center is not just a historical monument to an extraordinary president.
01:41It is a place that's living and breathing and exciting and where you can soak up history,
01:48but also feel inspired to bring change home to your own community. You're going to have fun,
01:53you're going to learn, you're going to see yourself in the stories that we tell,
01:57and you're going to have a really good time.
02:12for joining us with these three calls?
02:12I'm not just a thank you.
02:12I'm not just a queer actor.
02:12I'm a good actor.
