00:00As always, Darren Parkin with the numbers, our numbers man with numbers up.
00:03We'll give the Dragons the first cab off the rank. So 295 days since their last win,
00:0815 straight defeats. Round 23 of last year was the last time they tasted success in their 30-26
00:16win here over the other Broncos. Speaking of the Broncos, so they've lost four in a row,
00:21now obviously coming off a premiership. They've only got to look back to 2006,
00:26so 20 years ago. They actually lost five in a row that year and still won the premiership.
00:31So not all is lost, even though it does appear that way. And obviously the warning signs aren't
00:37flash for them. A couple of the other sides, obviously the Tigers broke a bit of a losing
00:41streak. So they're six and five. So it's the first time they've had a positive win-loss record
00:46at this stage of a season since 2018. So they're still progressing okay if they can get things
00:52back on track. Penrith missing a stack of stars. We're able to get the job done. Now,
00:59they're probably victims a little bit of their success at the start of the year. They were
01:02conceding eight points a game in the first five. And I know a lot of people have looked at it
01:06and
01:06thought, oh, maybe they've been vulnerable with the narrow win over Manly and the loss to the
01:11Bulldogs and this one. They're conceding 17 points a game since in their average winning margins
01:15gone from 24 to 12. But that's not a concern. That's more that what they were doing at the start
01:19of
01:19the year was ridiculous. The Sharks, interesting side, averaging 32 points a game in their past
01:26eight. And they're the first team to score 20 plus against Manly in two months. However,
01:32a bit like last year with the Broncos, we were worried about their defense. They've only conceded
01:37a single digit score once in 46 games and they're ranked ninth defensively, the Sharks. So they can
01:42score, but if they can just tighten up that other side, they might be all right. The Knights we've
01:47spoken about a bit, lower scoring team in the comp last year, third highest scoring team in the comp
01:52this year. That's been an enormous transformation. The Roosters in their loss to the Storm, it's their
01:57equal lowest score in five years. June 2021 was the last time it was lower. They didn't score that day,
02:040-46 against the Storm. And we'll just finish with the Storm. So they averaged 34 points against in
02:11their seven game losing streak in the last month where they've won three games. They've cut that
02:16to 14. So from 34 to 14 against. So they're starting perhaps to get their, in adverted commas, DNA back
02:24in the last little period. Absolutely. That was, yeah, real consequential round this weekend.
