00:00What book are you reading right now?
00:01What helps you understand our changing world?
00:03So we're talking about this a little bit.
00:05I mean, I happen to be reading an older book right now,
00:07Scott Galloway's The Four, which is a great book.
00:11About big tech, right?
00:12Yeah.
00:12To reread it right now is brilliant.
00:15I'm going to do that.
00:16It was ahead of its time.
00:17It's great.
00:18But I would say, you know, as a bond investor,
00:21like I do bonds, I do macro.
00:24I don't do tech.
00:25There's more tech coming into the fixed income space now
00:28there's issuing.
00:30But historically, it's not my kind of MO.
00:32So you look at, like, where are the weaknesses?
00:34Where are the blind spots?
00:35And so technology has been one of that.
00:36And at the same time, recognize that in your personal finance,
00:40technology is such a driving force.
00:43What we were talking about, you know,
00:4345% of the equity market, top 10 companies,
00:46it's all technology today.
00:48So how did I fill that gap in?
00:50I got three book recommendations.
00:52It started with the innovators, Walter Isaacson.
00:54It gets you from, like, you know, history to the present day.
00:58Fabulous foundational book for understanding technology.
01:01Second machine age, like that leap forward.
01:04All of a sudden, when the translation devices went from crap to amazing,
01:12like, what happened?
01:13And that's the second machine age.
01:15And then the third book is chip war.
01:17I mean, just the focus on NVIDIA and the geopolitics around it.
01:21And how did we get to this place where, you know,
01:24FABs and ASML, which is an incredible story,
01:27an incredible story of human innovation,
01:30the most complicated machine ever created,
01:33it's an incredible story.
01:35And to kind of understand that as the leaping off point
01:38to our current AI frenzy, those three books,
01:42but definitely end with chip wars.
01:44I mean, that's a lot of reasons.
01:45That was my book of the summer, I think, two years ago.
01:47Yeah, I'm a little bit.
01:48Gentleman out of Tufts, just absolutely phenomenal.
01:50I'm a little.
