00:58I just felt like there was not a lot of places for him to turn.
01:01You never want to say goodbye to a character that you love like that.
01:03But the fact that this character has made this 360 and is like actually come full circle.

01:14I feel really good about the way that firecracker met her demise.

01:21And I was just very happy that the writers gave me such a humanizing storyline to lead her to her

01:29I think firecracker's death scene is tragic and all the credit to Val to actually make you care about that.

03:22I feel it was inevitable.
03:24I couldn't be more thankful that my beautiful Frenchy didn't go like the rest of the characters in the show,

03:35Frenchy was the hardest to kill off.
03:37That was just such a heartbreaker, you know?
03:39And the way Karen and Tomer play it, it just rips your heart out.

03:53For that specific moment and that specific scene, it felt like there was this beautiful but awkward quietness.
04:01It might sound pretentious, but I literally gave Frenchy the keys for the scene.
04:06And I said, go ahead, buddy.
04:08And it was beautiful.
04:10I cherished that specific day.
04:12And the way the writers and they recruit me gave Frenchy the last goodbye.
04:20I mean, we knew from the beginning that we were going to kill Homelander.
04:24He could not survive.
04:26There was no way that guy could survive.
04:27The choices Antony made of just how much powerless Homelander sounds different than Homelander.
04:35Just a completely different mindset of like, oh, my God, I'm going to die.
04:39It's just really funny.
04:42Just tell me.
04:44I'll fucking suck your dick, please.
04:46I'll do anything.
04:47Antony has been showing up and showing out and giving 100% every single day from day one all the
04:55way until his last day.
04:56And it's been so honest.
04:58It's been so real.
04:59It's one of the greatest television villains created in television history, in my opinion.
05:05So my hat is off to Antony's star.
05:08We always knew that Butcher was going to do it.
05:10We wanted to at least marinate for a moment in that delightful little period of time when he has no
05:17power and he just becomes like a blubbering, sniveling coward.
05:22It was just too delicious to pass up.
05:37I really love the way Carl plays it after he kills Homelander.
05:43And he just plays it with this almost melancholy.
05:46He just feels like the weight and the import of what he's done.
05:51I would say the one thing we knew the most on page one, episode one, was that Huey was going
05:59to kill Butcher.
06:00We've always loved the intimacy of that final moment and how it shows that at the very end of things
06:07Butcher had a soul.
06:22We're working on the final season definitely a lot different than working on the previous four seasons.
06:26This is the first time in my career that I've ever been a part of a project that was coming
06:31to its end and we knew that the end was coming while we were doing it.
06:35Every moment starts to dawn on you as they happen.
06:38Every line is like, ooh, this is the last time I'm going to say that as this character.
06:41Every time you put the costume on, you're thinking, wow, this might be the last time that I ever wear
06:45this suit again.
06:46All of those things are going through your head all of the time.
06:49And, you know, the approach is just like, leave it all out there.
06:53Everybody was incredibly welcoming.
06:55I show up in the final season of an incredibly successful long-running show and everybody treated me as if
07:02I had just been there for the whole time.
07:04And this is from the cast and crew all the way up to the creatives.
07:07Yeah, it was just a really joyful experience.
07:10Five seasons, eight years of our lives, and not once have someone not came in and pinched their card with
07:18so much passion and love and putting their A-game on.
07:23It's like the best sandbox an actor can ask for.
