00:00Some roads across the south could go from completely dry to underwater in just a matter of hours.
00:04Scattered but heavy thunderstorms could bring dangerous flash flooding across parts of Texas and Oklahoma through the weekend,
00:10with some locations picking up 1 to 4 inches of rain in just a few hours.
00:14The biggest concern is the Texas Hill Country. This includes Kerrville and other areas west and north of San Antonio
00:19and Austin.
00:20Wednesday, the flood threat stays in west Texas and eastern New Mexico.
00:24Then it shifts toward Dallas, Houston, Oklahoma City, and parts of Louisiana later this week.
00:28It spreads north, too, from Kansas City, where we've already had flooding this week, all the way up to Minneapolis.
00:33And remember, not everyone gets the heavy rainfall, but even if it's not raining where you are, flooding can develop
00:39quickly when heavy rain falls upstream.
00:41So if you live anywhere in the risk area, have a way to receive flash flood warnings and never drive
00:46through a flooded roadway.
