There may be a future nod concerning George Orwell's dystopian novel 1984 in 1976 horror film Land Of The Minotaur (The Devil's Men). I thought cast member Dimitris Bislanis, who plays police Sgt. Vendris may bear at least a passing resemblance to actor Richard Burton. Donald Pleasence starred in this horror film about young backpackers kidnapped by a cult in Greece.
- Pleasence had played Parsons in the 1956 British black and white adaptation of 1984. Others in this cast include Michael Ripper who was in several films with Christopher Lee.
- Richard Burton played torture chief O'Brien in the 1984 version starring John Hurt.
- Pleasence & Richard Burton both acted in 1959 drama Look Back In Anger.
- Peter Cushing (of Land Of The Minotaur) & Richard Burton appeared in Alexander The Great in 1956.
- Previously, I mentioned 2 actresses in The Devil's Men who wear short cut shorts, which were later called "Daisy Dukes" after the fashion became attributed To The Dukes Of Hazzard actress Catherine Bach. I thought this may be an embeded future reference to actor Christopher Lee as Count Dooku in Star Wars 25+ years later. Actress Daisy Ridley's name may also connect to this reference, she played Rey in the Disney Star Wars sequel films (2015+). As it applies to the subject of this video, Director Ridley Scott also had an connection to 1984 in that Orwell's dystopian world provided inspiration for his commercial spot for Apple's Macintosh computer.

00:00We're talking about knowledge of the future in movies, YouTube channel, Easter Egg Psychic.
00:06Alright, watching 1976 horror film Land of the Minotaur, also titled The Devil's Men.
00:14But this cast featured Donald Pleasence, Peter Cushion, and Luan Peters.
00:19Actor Demetrius Beslanis plays Sergeant Vendris in this, as character figures in prominently into the story.
00:30I could not help but notice a slight resemblance between him and actor Richard Burton.
00:39The major connection that sprang to mind was adaptations of George Orwell's dystopian story 1984.
00:47In 1984, Burton played the local party fat cat O'Brien in the 84 film adaptation.
00:56This starred John Hurt and Susanna Hamilton.
01:00And Donald Pleasence also acted in a movie based on 1984.
01:05This was the 56 British black and white version.
01:09Here, Edmund O'Brien played Winston Smith.
01:13Pleasence was Parsons.
01:15Jen Sterling played Julia.
01:17The cast also featured actors like Michael Ripper, who worked in several films with Christopher Lee.
01:24And Kenneth Griffith, who was in the Prisoner Spy TV series with Patrick McGowan in the 60s.
01:32Now, Donald Pleasence and Richard Burton appeared together.
01:35In the 1959 drama, Look Back in Anger, based on the John Osborne play.
01:43Others in this cast, Claire Bloom and Mary Urie.
01:47And Richard Burton and Peter Cushing acted together in Robert Rawson's Alexander the Great in 1956.
01:55Others in this, Claire Bloom, Harry Andrews, Michael Horton, Peter Wingard, William Squire, Friedrich von Latimer, Larry Taylor, and Christopher
02:06Lee had an uncredited voiceover role as Nick Tanabas.
02:11And one other item I'll point out in the other video, I talked about how two characters in The Devil's
02:21Men wear these short cut style shorts.
02:26And these got the nickname Daisy Dukes, which opens up a lot of strange links.
02:33I thought this could be a future reference to Christopher Lee as Count Dooku in Star Wars.
02:41I neglected to mention actress Daisy Ridley, who played the heroine Ray in the Disney sequel films from 10 years
02:52ago.
02:52And as it applies to the subject here, it's worth noting director Ridley Scott, who also has a fascinating connection
03:02to 1984.
03:03And in that year, he produced the famous Super Bowl launch commercial for Apple's Macintosh personal computer.
03:14The world this was set in, said to have been modeled after Orwell's dystopian story.
03:23My YouTube channel is Easter Egg Psychic.
03:25There I go back, I look at movies and television from the past.
03:29I analyze these for possible references to future media.
03:32These may appear in the form of anecdotes, idioms, anagrams.
03:36Hidden in the subtext of the work in question, I also use an unconventional method where I look at the
03:42likenesses of the actors.
03:45And what I found is you can take the likenesses, match these up to some of the anecdotal items,
03:51and show past, present, and future information about actors and other personalities
03:57that may resemble the personalities in the movie or television episode that you're watching.
