In this video, I'll show how to fix GTA V crash. Specifically, for GTA V Legacy crashes. This is known as GTA 5 auto closing, GTA V crash on startup, and so on.

1. Open the game folder
2. Select "GTA5"
3. Right-click "GTA5"
4. Click on "Properties"
5. Click on "Compatibility"
6. Check "Run this program in compatibility mode"
7. Click to show the options
8. Select "Windows 7"
9. Check "Run this program as administrator"
10. Click on "Apply"
11. Click on "OK"
12. Scroll down
13. Select "PlayGTAV"
14. Right-click "GTAV"
15. Click on "Properties"
16. Click on "Compatibility"
17. Check "Run this program as administrator"
18. Click on "Apply"
19. Click on "OK"
In the specific case of the "PlayGTAV" executable, do not check the option to run in compatibility mode or select Windows 7, because if you do this, the game will not launch and you will get an error message saying that Windows 7 is no longer supported.

00:12program in compatibility mode, click to show the options, and choose Windows 7.
00:21Also, check Run this program as Administrator, click Apply, and click OK.
00:30Now, scroll down, select Play GTA 5, right-click it, click on Properties, click on Compatibility, check Run this program
00:41as Administrator, click Apply.
00:45In this specific case, make sure to not select the option to run this program in compatibility mode for this
00:53specific executable.
00:55Because if you do choose, this will prevent your game from launching and cause an error message saying that Windows
01:027 is no longer supported.
01:04For this reason, do not use the option to run in compatibility mode for Play GTA 5, only for the
01:11GTA 5 executable.
