In this video, let's fix the "ERR_GFX_D3D_INIT" failed initialization launch error in GTA V. The full error message is "ERR_GFX_D3D_INIT: Failed Initialization. Please reboot and restart the game. Try reinstalling the game if this persists.".

The D3D INIT launch error in GTA 5 is closely related to the DirectX version you are using to run the game, and also with the drivers installed. To fix this error, we'll change the DirectX settings in the settitngs file and also "reset" the game DirectX settings, to allow you to launch and run the game again.

1. Go to "Documents"
2. Open "Rockstar Games" folder
3. Open "GTA V" folder
4. Select "settings"
5. Right-click "settings"
6. Move your mouse to "Open with"
7. Click on "Notepad"
8. Click on "Edit"
9. Click on "Find"
10. Write "dx"
11. In "dx_value", change the value from "2" to "0"
12. Click on "File"
13. Click on "Save"
14. Go to the game folder
15. Delete "d3dcompiler_46.dll"
16. Delete "d3dcsx.dll"
17. Update your drivers
18. Restart your computer
