The Ampang Line will operate in temporary mode from Wednesday (June 3) after major repair works following last week's derailment incident at Chan Sow Lin Station.

Rapid KL said on Tuesday (June 2) that travel between Putra Heights and Sentul Timur will resume without transfers.

00:00The Ampang line will operate under a temporary service arrangement from Wednesday,
00:04following the completion of major repair works after last week's derailment at Chan Saulin Station.
00:11Rapid KL said,
00:12Train services between Putra Heights and Central Timur will resume without the need for passengers to transfer between trains.
00:20However, commuters travelling between Ampang and Central Timur will be required to make one train transfer at Chan Saulin Station,
00:28which is expected to add about five minutes to travel time during peak hours.
00:34To support the temporary operating arrangement,
00:37ten free feeder shuttle buses will be deployed on the Chan Saulin to Masjid Jamek to Bandaraya
00:42and Chan Saulin to Maluri to Pandanjaya to Ampang routes.
00:47The shuttle buses will operate at intervals of between 15 and 20 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
00:53Rapid KL said its engineering and technical teams had completed repair works,
00:59replaced damaged components, and restored affected systems following the derailment.
01:04The teams also carried out comprehensive inspections of train assets and infrastructure
01:09to ensure safety, reliability, and operational performance.
01:13Rapid KL added that further inspections, technical verification, system calibration,
01:20and specialised monitoring are still being conducted to ensure all operational and infrastructure requirements
01:28meet safety standards before full service is restored.
01:32Support personnel will continue to be stationed at key stations to assist passengers,
01:38particularly as higher passenger numbers are expected following the long holiday period.
