00:00I think that I'm surprised that people are saying, hey, I see you and Bruce walking together.
00:06Bruce and I was together before he was running for W.
00:09Bruce is a friend.
00:11When I was running, I would sit down with him.
00:15He would give me advice on how do we deal with the immigration issue,
00:20which was really impacting our city.
00:23We would talk about public safety.
00:25And so I think this is the beginning of the conversation,
00:28sitting down with a friend, having breakfast, sharing my thoughts on what I'm seeing is happening in the city and
00:34the state,
00:34and hearing from him of what his vision as he articulated that vision.
00:39And that's what the purpose of the activity today is about.
00:42Okay, so I'm going to take that as a resounding yes on the endorsement.
00:47Mr. Blakeman, do you want?
00:48Call me Bruce.
00:49Okay, Bruce, do you want Adam's endorsement?
00:52Well, first of all, who wouldn't want his endorsement?
00:55But that's not what we're talking about here today.
00:57First of all, he knows the city better than anybody else.
01:02We're talking about the fact that middle-class families are getting squeezed out in Queens and Brooklyn,
01:08Staten Island, the Bronx.
01:10And we're talking about housing.
01:12We're talking about affordability.
01:13We're talking about utility rates, how they're, you know, excessively high in New York State.
01:18And he's going to give me some advice about talking to various communities about issues that are just particular to
01:26those communities.
01:27So he's a wealth of information.
01:28He's a good friend.
01:29And we're just going to have breakfast and chat a little bit.
01:31Yeah, it's very valuable.
01:32Well, and Bruce, did you talk to President Trump about Mayor Adams' criminal indictment before it was dismissed?
01:41No.
01:41No, okay.
01:42Well, that would have been a good answer.
01:44And the last thing I got, I guess this is my question is, how are you, well, actually, Mayor Adams,
01:51so I guess you don't believe, do you still believe in Governor Hochul as a governor?
01:58Listen, I believe in the state.
01:59I was there when you guys were working together.
02:01I believe in the state, and I believe in the city.
02:04I served in the state as a state senator and a lawmaker.
02:08I served in the city as a police officer.
02:11And I believe that working-class families must assure that the city is affordable for them as well as safe
02:19for them.
02:20And that is what I'm going to share today.
02:24Bruce and I are going to sit down and share those ideas about the city and the state.
