A North East housing provider has created a new charitable foundation aimed at improving social and financial wellbeing. It says the initiative will expand support across communities in the region and into Yorkshire.

00:12Commission and will operate across the Northeast and Yorkshire from the summer. It will provide
00:17skills and training, tackle social isolation and invest in local communities, according
00:23to the organization. Chief Executive Paul Fidiman says it will strengthen community impact
00:29and widen support services. It will also create stronger links with local charities and partners.
00:35Six trustees have been appointed, including senior figures from Carbon Homes,
00:40Northumbria University and local community groups.
