00:00Charity shops are a staple of the high street and their lifeblood is the donations that they've
00:04received from normal people all across the country. But the way in which those donations
00:09are arriving is changing. A new campaign is making use of delivery drop-off locations
00:14to give items to charity shops. But how is it all going to work? I spoke to the organisers to find out.
00:22Yeah so starting from this week we're partnering with Every to enable our customers to drop off
00:28their items their donations to charity at any one of their 10 000 drop-off locations in the uk
00:34is really really easy it's just like doing a return you can print off a label at home or
00:38any one of these 10 000 locations or lockers and that stock those generous donations from
00:44our customers which we really really appreciate it means the world to us when our customers
00:49support us in this way so we're making it really easy for you and it'll arrive in one of our shops
00:55and we're going to get as much money as possible from your quality items to support our charity
00:59which does an awful lot of good work to support inequality for disabled people. We did some
01:05research together and we found that 47 percent of people are more likely to donate if they could drop
01:10off their parcel at either a parcel shop or locker so we're opening up our 10 000 locker and parcel shop
01:17network for scope parcels. What kind of items do you think want to be seen really during the course of
01:24this what kind of things would be really really helpful for people to donate? I think these days
01:28it's great if you can send high quality fashion items I think obviously there's a lot of fast fashion
01:34now and it's harder to resell those items on through a charity shop but good quality items things that
01:41you've maybe grown out of or you forgot to return it which is quite common more common than you think.
01:47It's the autumn it's the perfect time of year for a clear right so I've just done mine I've got four
01:52bags of stock actually that I'm going to donate to scope and I'm going to try and do it through
01:58this well I'm not going to try I'm going to do it through this locker scheme because that makes it
02:03really easy for me so we'd love menswear women's wear we you know your homewares your children's toys
02:10you want to have a clear right before we get to Christmas because the house will all fill back
02:14up again so so give it to us and and actually we we can do an awful lot of good with that. I think
02:21anybody who has clearing is clearing out their wardrobe or has thought about donating to charity
02:27this is a great time to do it you can do it for nothing.
