00:03The universe is immense and confusing, but to those that understand it better, you know, astrophysicists, it's all math.
00:10But there are still many things even the greatest scientists of our age still don't have the answer to,
00:14and one of those has to do with a critical imbalance with regards to antimatter.
00:18If there were equal amounts of antimatter and matter, they would simply cancel one another out,
00:23leaving pretty much nothing but an ambient glow to the universe.
00:25So scientists say at some point something changed and favored matter over antimatter.
00:31Now, astrophysicists say they found a marker of symmetry soon after the emergence of the universe.
00:36One they add may provide clues about how we ended up where we are.
00:39They used a supercomputer to simulate literally a million trillion sets of four galaxies,
00:44finding that there was a specific imbalance in the datasets.
00:47One they say points to a highly statistically significant deviation.
00:50This deviation could point to a specific point in time where everything changed.
00:54When the universe went from nothing to a universe that has more matter than antimatter.
