00:06A young lady was surfing with her family at a location just east of Esperance and when she
00:12was attacked by a shark and tragically resulted in fatal injuries. My understanding was that
00:21father and daughter were surfing out at where the waves are breaking and that's when the attack
00:26occurred and the father obviously tried everything he could to help his daughter but sadly he
00:34wasn't able to save her.
00:41It's terribly tragic and throughout the community there's a sense of sadness and loss. You can
00:49only imagine what they must be feeling, it's a terrible situation.
00:57Yesterday's incident was just a really traumatic horrific event for everyone and as a paramedic
