00:00In the last 10 years, I've been building my agency both on Fiverr and also on my own website with
00:08direct clients. And I wanted to talk to you about my 2026 plan. And also, this is one of the
00:14biggest
00:15topics if you should go on a freelancing platform only, or if you should actually build your agency
00:22on your own website as well. And I want to go through my own experience and my own journey,
00:26because right now, as you guys have seen, I'm running my agency on Fiverr. I have a lot of
00:30clients, over 300 clients. Right now, it's a little bit less, around 200, more than 200, between 200
00:37to 300 orders that I'm getting on Fiverr. It's a very significant amount of revenue that is coming
00:44on Fiverr. But last year in 2025, I noticed that, you know, as you guys also probably, if you're
00:51selling on Fiverr, you probably experienced the same that Fiverr can be unpredictable at times.
00:56I think it's great if you're trying to make $10,000 per month or more, $20,000, $30,000, $50
01:02,000,
01:02it's definitely possible. It takes time. But in the end, the reward is incredible. But what can be
01:09the problem is that if you're trying to scale your agency only on the freelancing platform,
01:14you don't have a control. So you don't have a control over your clients as much. Of course,
01:19they are also making, I feel like freelancing platforms are becoming a bit more flexible with
01:24that. But still, you don't have a control. You don't have their contact information. I mean,
01:28you should not have, right? Because you have to do the business on the platform. You also don't have
01:33a way to mass communicate with your past clients, right? So you have to send the messages and you
01:38have to be careful because if you try to abuse, if you try to send a lot of things, you
01:43can experience
01:44some issues. So I wanted to go in my right now in my current 2026, because when I go back
01:51exactly one
01:52year ago, 2025, I remember our plan, because I have a team, we were trying to grow Fiverr, like we
01:59were
02:00like, let's try to scale Fiverr as much as possible. And that was literally the goal for 2025 to reach,
02:06let's say my highest month was $64,000, $65,000 on Fiverr. It was back in 2019. And our goal
02:12was like,
02:13let's reach and let's pass this number. So we tried really to do everything that it's possible
02:19to achieve that. Also, I launched the freelance hustle.ai. This is a platform for Fiverr sellers.
02:26We have also support for Upwork sellers, where it can help you with the CRM, with the management,
02:31with the leads, with the communication for Upwork as well. And we have plans on implementing more
02:37things into this platform. But the most important thing to understand is that if you have
02:43your goals set for 2026, and you are asking me like, okay, Vasily, what do you think about
02:48Fiverr? Should I take it serious? And I've been talking to a lot of sellers, you guys been watching
02:53this channel as well for last maybe several years. And I'm really thankful for all of your support.
02:58And I wanted to give you because I can just speak from my experience, I can speak from what is
03:04actually
03:04happening right now, what is actually working. So with Fiverr, it's very simple. So there is still
03:10a lot of potential, there's still a lot of things that can be very successful for you, right? So and
03:16it's not a secret that the most thing that is happening on Fiverr is the traffic, right? So you
03:23are getting all of those clients that are coming to you on Fiverr, just because they're finding you
03:30in the search. So there are still a lot of opportunities, like you can, of course, have like,
03:35you know, different strategies, like you can have, let's say, you can reach out to the past clients.
03:40So for example, what we do, we have new clients that are coming to us, they're finding through the
03:45search, we also have, let's say past clients, that we are trying to bring them back to order our
03:53service. And that's why you need to have some system, right? So this in order to have like this
03:58thing, for example, you need to have a good system. So it's very important that you have
04:03some sort of a CRM system. And because it works, sometimes I know that the buyers, they're like,
04:10for example, they have not been online for maybe one month, two months on Fiverr, but then suddenly
04:15they become online, right? The only problem here is that when you start to reach out to them,
04:21it seems like it's not really you that is reaching out to them, it's Fiverr reaching out to them,
04:26right? Because they see an email coming from Fiverr. And then inside of this email, they see your
04:31username, right? They see your username, they see your name, but it's still coming from Fiverr.
04:35That is some of the downsides of that, right? The other things, of course, is, you know, you can reach
04:43those. And I know it might sound a little bit weird, but it's still possible higher ticket buyers.
04:55So, you know, many times we will get a client who will actually order the highest package,
05:00right? They will pay like, right now we have several services. We have Instagram growth service,
05:05we have content services, but let's say the pricing for Instagram growth service is $220 per month,
05:10right? And they will order the highest package and they will also take all the extras, right?
05:15So they will take the extras that you also have. So it can be anything that you offer as an
05:22extra on
05:22you're on top of your service. So those, the things that are kind of has the biggest weight,
05:29you know, the biggest thing. And of course, another way I would say it's true, it's one channel,
05:35right? So when I say one channel, it means that, you know, your communication stays on Fiverr,
05:41your order fulfillment, order management is on Fiverr. Like it's, you don't need to have like
05:46multiple places. Like you don't need to communicate with your clients on email, Slack, WhatsApp,
05:51you know, Instagram. So it can be all inside of Fiverr, right? This is some of the biggest
05:56advantages because you don't want to be distracted a lot. Like, you know, every time you have a client
06:01call you, message you, like, you know, it's, it's not sustainable to have all of these different
06:07communication channels. You want to have one channel ideally, right? So, and of course, you know,
06:12these are the biggest things, right? But the problem is the algorithm, right? The algorithm is the
06:18problem because when we, you know, when things don't go well on the platform, we will suddenly
06:26start to lose the revenue, we'll suddenly start to lose the clients. And there is not much you can do
06:32there besides going and reaching out to past clients, trying to optimize your, your packages.
06:39You know, right now, for example, I'm planning in, I want, I supposed to do a rebranding of my Fiverr
06:44profile in December. I wanted to create new videos, new gig pictures, new descriptions, FAQs,
06:50everything. But right now I'm going to be doing it in February because I have someone who will come
06:56to, to visit me and essentially to film those new videos. So I'm trying to, and it's also, you know,
07:03like, I think it's been too much because I didn't update my videos for maybe several years now,
07:09which is not good. And you should always have some sort of like a bigger rebranding of your services,
07:16of your gigs as well. You know, let's say once a year, that should be like the minimum. Once a
07:22year
07:22you should have, because you also change you as a person, right? I mean, you should not have like,
07:27you know, something that it has been already for a few years because, you know, essentially,
07:32you know, when you jump on the call with a client, they see maybe someone different, but you want to
07:36keep things fresh, you know, because every year you, you improve, you grow your work with clients.
07:41So you might find out about new things as well. So it's very important to keep the information up
07:46to date as well as the video, because you might create a better video, a better representation of
07:51your services. You can come up with the ideas. I'm really inspired to see more sellers are posting
07:56the videos now of their gigs, because this is very, very important. This actually will help a lot of
08:01you get more sales on Fiverr because as soon as someone watches you, like your face, your way you
08:09talk, they will immediately go and build a bit more trust, you know? So that's why it's very important.
08:16It doesn't matter if you're not, you know, affluent, if you're not maybe feel comfortable, you must,
08:21you must. This is like a must thing because otherwise you will be really stuck. And if you just have
08:28one person team, that's fine. If you just buy yourself, it's okay because you can make one
08:32month, maybe 5,000, another month, 1,000, right? I mean, you can manage your expenses, but if you
08:38have a team, it's very unhealthy to have this kind of jumps, right? So you want to do the best
08:43you can.
08:43Now let's talk about the running, because right now my goal is to run, like to build this foundation
08:51with my direct clients as well. So the issues we have here is, of course, you know, we have the
08:57the algorithm. And the biggest issue in my, it might not apply to everyone, but let me just write
09:03it here. And this is a retention. So if you sell a service that is a subscription service, so the
09:13service is a subscription, people pay a monthly subscription for your service. This is very,
09:20very crucial because the problem here is that when you have clients on Fiverr, you can only send
09:26subscriptions for three months, for six months, you can send it longer, but usually they order for
09:31three or six months. And then you have to send them again, right? And you don't have this control
09:35on their payment method. So you don't really see like if their card is expired, if they have some
09:41decline, if they have some other issues, right? You cannot really control that. What happens is
09:46subscription is not going to get renewed. You have to like contact the, you know, the, let's say if they
09:51need to cancel subscription, if it's less than 10 days, you need to contact support. There's a lot of back
09:55and
09:56forth. It's really like, it's not very good system, right? But it is what it is. So, but running your
10:02agency directly. So a few things here. The first thing, this is, this is also my suggestions to you.
10:08If you're thinking like, okay, I want to start running my agency. I want to start having more direct
10:17clients, one communication channel. This is the key, right? So this is very, very important because
10:24you don't want to talk in multiple places. So in my case, how it works, I have my Instagram
10:31as a sales. So I use my Instagram as like a sales. I'll just put it here, sales.
10:38And then what I do, I use my WhatsApp. So I use my WhatsApp as, as a, let's say clients,
10:50as a client's communication. So I have two, two communication channels. Instagram is more for
10:56outreaching. So I'm outreaching to people. I'm sending them messages if they want to work,
11:01if they want to learn about my services and stuff like that, I'm building the relationship.
11:05And then I have WhatsApp for clients, clients that already exist, that already paid for the services.
11:11And we manage, for example, across my team. So if you have like a normal WhatsApp business account,
11:17you can have up to four devices connected. So me, including my other three team members are
11:22connected to my WhatsApp and we can communicate with clients more efficiently because we can update
11:27them. We can, you know, if we need something from them, we'll ask them. The same goes to agencies,
11:33right? So we have also, we work with agencies too, and we communicate with them through,
11:37through the WhatsApp. We also have Slack. Slack is more like for a bigger, like, let's say,
11:44if you are already have clients, we will also communicate in Slack. We mostly use it for
11:49internal communication, but for bigger agencies, we also invite them to Slack, but mostly the
11:55communication is in WhatsApp, right? That's the first thing. The second thing is, again, I'm going to
12:01write retention because right now we have clients, we're using Stripe. Stripe is the main payment
12:08processor. And, uh, you know, the thing is here is that when your services are subscription and right
12:14now, 20, 26, especially 2020, the goal for 20, 26 is to make your service as a subscription. This is
12:24like, so the goal is to make your service as a subscription, because when you have a service as a
12:31subscription, you can build a very healthy business model, right? So it doesn't, doesn't matter what kind
12:37of services you offer, because if you're offering services like design related, you can offer some
12:42smaller retainer that people can pay monthly, and you can do some, some kind of maintaining work,
12:48like you can do some, you know, like, let's say if they are, we have clients who manage social media,
12:55they will pay us a monthly, it will create a certain number of posts every single month. If you hire
13:00software developer, you create a, they create a, you know, a project for you, like let's say, and then
13:06you charge a client per month for maybe a certain number of hours, right? You provide, I don't know,
13:12two, three hours, four hours per, like, let's say up like four hours per month, they work for four hours
13:17and you pay them a subscription fee, right? The same works like, you know, I have lawyer as well, like
13:22he
13:22has like, you know, the same, he's, we have this kind of subscription model that I'm paying again, based on
13:27the number of hours. So it all comes down into this, the subscription model, right? So this is
13:36very important, because especially I understand you guys, maybe like when you're watching, I'm talking
13:40about Stripe, you know, maybe in your country, it's not possible to have Stripe, right? So I will
13:46suggest to look for alternative options, like you can have other alternative options, not necessarily
13:51like, you know, Stripe, you can have other things that you can also, that you can use. But this is
13:57the
13:57idea. The idea is you want to have the control over your clients, you don't want to sell your
14:03service, let's say like, okay, Fiverr is good, but it's basically your client, it's not your client,
14:10it's Fiverr's client, right? On paper, that's Fiverr's client. And then, you know, for some clients,
14:16they're also like, oh, I'm hiring this person in Fiverr. It's not like I'm hiring, I'm working with
14:21Vasily, he's working my sister. No, I found this freelancer on Fiverr, I'm working with this
14:25freelancer on Fiverr. You have to understand that this will happen if you are selling your services
14:30on Fiverr, you don't really have like a name, like for example, if they use you, and they will be
14:38happy
14:38with you, you'll do amazing work, but they don't really like remember about you, you know, even
14:43though if you're doing that, they remember about Fiverr, they remember some freelancer. But if you work
14:48with your client directly, they know that it's you, and of course, they remember it's you. So what are the
14:54positives? The positives about that is that you build a long term relationship with the client.
14:59So the client is going to trust you. So the client, for example, even though if the client needs to
15:04hire
15:04some other people, they need to find something, they will ask first, not, you know, let's say
15:10Fiverr and go on Fiverr, they will ask you so they because they already have experience relationship
15:16with you, they're going to ask you like, hey, Vasily, do you have maybe someone for software
15:20development, I need to create this platform, I need to create this dashboard, and you will be
15:24able to kind of like, you know, you become more as a, not like a partner, but you know, partner
15:30in
15:31their sort of suggestions, recommendations, stuff like that. This is very, very important. And that's
15:37how I believe you can build a very successful marketing agency based on this concept. And also,
15:43of course, based on your service. So if you don't have a service that you want to offer, if you're
15:48not
15:48sure if you're confused, go on Fiverr, just go on Fiverr, try to offer a few services, try to see,
15:55try to
15:55see what people are going to order, what they're going to ask you for. And then once you understand
16:00your services, once you understand your packages, your things that you provide, then start building
16:07the system. And you know, what I noticed, what was also very interesting is that when clients, you know, for
16:13example, you can have your Instagram as actually solves as, as a website, as a communication channel
16:20and converting people, right? Because just from Instagram, it will be enough for them to see,
16:26to see what you do, to see what you offer. And from here, they can just go to some payment.
16:32So this can be like a payment link. This can be just a, you know, a checkout page. And that's
16:39it.
16:40Many times I feel like I'm sending a link to my clients with more information. They need to create
16:47like an account. So they need to create, create account. They need to like choose the package,
16:56you know, like it's, it takes time. And many times they just don't want to do that. You know,
17:00they're just like, okay, can you send me the payment link? And that's it. I want to just pay it
17:04right
17:04now. So that's why, of course, it's great when you have like, you know, like you have like,
17:09let's say Stripe link or payment link, right? And you just bring them directly here. And then you
17:14bring them back to once they pay the, you bring them to the WhatsApp, right? And then you have the
17:21communication, then you can solve these things out. This is very, very important. And I believe
17:26in my, like for me personally, my goals, if you ask me, of course, I'm still going to be focusing
17:31very heavily on, on running my agency, running the, you know, the selling the services that I
17:37offer. My goal is to also help other agencies, other Fiverr sellers, Upwork sellers to integrate
17:43my services that I offer into their profiles. And essentially we can work as a partners as meaning
17:50like a growth partner, right? On the, on that specific service. And of course I, I still, this is
17:56Fiverr. It's, it's still going to be there. I spend too much time on Fiverr and I do believe there
18:00are still going to be a good things. I still think that there are, will be a lot of good
18:05things on the platform itself because Fiverr I'm seeing right now, they are becoming a little
18:10bit more flexible, a little bit less strict than they were before, because they need to
18:14understand that the sellers are still, of course, we are the main kind of like driven force to
18:21their growth. And of course they have two options to monetize the sellers that we pay for
18:26the services that, you know, inside of Fiverr, like ads, other subscriptions and stuff, or
18:32they need to increase their buyers. Like they need to bring higher ticket buyers. And so I
18:36believe they are actually doing both, right? They, I mean, they have more stuff for us to
18:40pay inside of Fiverr, but they're also trying to bring buyers who are going to be spending
18:46more, who's going to be spending a lot, right? This is their goal. They're running ads, they're
18:51doing a bunch of different things. So of course there is still, I'm still very excited because
18:55I still think there is going to be a lot of things, but you have to remember this. What
19:01I just mentioned earlier is that when you work with clients on Fiverr, your goal should
19:06be here. Is that you, you know, this is, they, they work with you. So when you start to work
19:13with the clients, you need to make sure that they understand that. So like this, when you
19:18have your, for example, your own social media, like, you know, you can have LinkedIn profile,
19:24you can have Instagram, by the way, you can, um, you can do this communication on LinkedIn
19:30as well. Like you can use LinkedIn for outreaching, for building, because this is, this is, this
19:35is very, very good as well. And of course, you know, the, the, this connection is very important
19:40because that would help me scale because many clients, they know like my Instagram, they,
19:45they see my Instagram, they find me on Instagram, right? So it's kind of like a natural effect
19:49that they will, they will follow my profile. They will reach out to me on Instagram. So
19:53this is also very important for you to understand. And this is what you want to do as well. Uh,
19:59when going in 2026 and also going for next year to start taking this seriously, you don't
20:05need to go with all the platforms, just pick like Instagram, LinkedIn, see where your clients
20:09most at and which platform and just focus on this platform. So guys, thank you so much
20:14for watching. Let me know if your comments, uh, you know, it's been a little bit wild since
20:19I've been back on, on active on YouTube. So, uh, feel free to write your comments. I'll
20:23be responding to all of your comments. Uh, probably going to be making some also live, uh, YouTube
20:27live in the future. So you can join and, you know, we can chat and we can talk about this
20:32whole thing that will be happening in 2026. In my case, and you know, for you as well, if you
20:37have any issues,
20:37thanks again for your support and see you in the next video.
