00:00Two years ago, I was stuck in my nine Zoom call a day corporate job at Intuit.
00:03Today, I've made over $150,000 on Fiverr doing UGC,
00:07starting while working full-time with zero followers and zero cold pitches.
00:11And there's one mistake that I made right after my first $80 gig
00:15that almost killed the entire thing before it even started.
00:18I'll get to that.
00:19After working with over 750 brands in just over two years,
00:22I can tell you exactly what actually moves the needle
00:25and what's a complete waste of your time.
00:27In this video, I'm walking you through the five phases of my journey,
00:30and each one comes with a lesson you can steal and use today.
00:33By the end of this, you'll have a clear picture of what your first 90 days on Fiverr should actually
00:38look like,
00:38even if you're starting from absolute zero with a full-time job and a family counting on you.
00:43Let's start with phase one.
00:44I call this phase the corporate grind.
00:46Let me give you a little bit of background on me.
00:48I come from 13 years in tech, climbing the corporate ladder, undergrad, MBA.
00:53I had a good salary.
00:54On paper, everything looked great, but I was burned out.
00:58I was missing time with my kids, and I knew if I didn't change something,
01:01nothing was ever going to change for me.
01:03Most of all, I was sick of others telling me when I could and when I couldn't take vacation.
01:08It just didn't make sense to me.
01:10So that brings out lesson number one.
01:11You don't need to quit your job to start UGC.
01:14I built this entire thing nights and weekends while still employed.
01:18So if you're a dad with a full-time job, that's not a disadvantage.
01:21That's exactly where I was.
01:23That brings us to phase number two, the discovery and the Fiverr decision.
01:27I looked at every platform, TikTok, Instagram.
01:30I saw everybody talking about cold outreach, talking about building a personal brand, making
01:34sure the brands come to you.
01:36But the thing is, I didn't want people at my job to know what I was doing.
01:39I didn't want to be out there on socials yet.
01:41I wasn't ready for that.
01:42I wanted to just start this out slowly and quietly.
01:45So then I found Fiverr through a friend and I realized something most people miss.
01:49Brands come to you on that platform.
01:52You're not pitching them.
01:53You're not going after leads all the time.
01:55Inbound leads, no begging, no pitching.
01:59And that changed everything for me.
02:00So lesson number two is Fiverr is the anti-pitching platform.
02:04While everyone else is sending 50 cold DMs a day, you set up a gig one time and then you
02:10let the algorithm bring you clients.
02:12You got to work smarter, not harder.
02:14All right, that brings us to phase three, the ugly start.
02:16My first gig made me $80, guys.
02:19My videos were so rough.
02:21I didn't have any fancy equipment.
02:22I didn't even have a tripod.
02:24But here's the thing.
02:25I treated it like a system, not a lottery ticket.
02:28I studied what all the top rated sellers were doing.
02:30And then every month I would optimize my gig to make sure that it was getting better and better.
02:36So lesson number three is start messy.
02:39You don't need to be perfect when you're making your first gig on Fiverr or even your second gig
02:43or your third or fourth, okay?
02:44You don't need a portfolio with Nike in it.
02:47You just need three to four solid gig examples, solid gigs that show you how to sell a product
02:53on camera.
02:54That's it.
02:55All right, real quick.
02:56I'm about to show you the exact moment everything changed for me on Fiverr.
02:59But if you're sitting there right now thinking, I want this, but I have no idea where to start,
03:03there's a link below for a free call with me or my team.
03:05This is the exact call I wish existed when I first started because I would have figured
03:09out what was exactly holding me back a full year sooner.
03:13Let me show you what happened in month four.
03:15So month four or phase four was the tipping point for me.
03:18Around that time, something shifted.
03:20I went from two to three orders a week to two to three orders a day.
03:23I hit Fiverr vetted pro.
03:25And once that badge showed up, the quality of brands and the quantity of brands actually
03:30completely changed for me.
03:31All right.
03:32So lesson four is that 4% white space, only 4% of UGC creators on Fiverr are men.
03:37That's not a limitation.
03:38That's a massive competitive advantage.
03:41Brands need diversity.
03:42So if you're a guy watching this, you're already standing out.
03:45Being a man is what really helped me get to Fiverr vetted pro.
03:48There was way more females on there.
03:51And I think that that was the edge that really pushed me into getting that Fiverr vetted pro
03:55badge right away.
03:56That brings us to phase five, the engineered escape.
04:00I didn't rage quit my job, guys.
04:01I built a bridge.
04:03Month by month, my Fiverr income got closer to my salary.
04:06When it consistently mashed for three months straight, I made the move.
04:09That's an engineered escape, not just a leap of faith.
04:12So lesson five is you need to build that bridge before you cross it.
04:16If your family depends on your paycheck, you don't just gamble.
04:19You build a system that replaces it.
04:21That's exactly what I did.
04:22And that's what I teach.
04:23All right, guys.
04:24So now looking back, I've worked with over 750 brands.
04:27I've had over 3,500 students in my community, a podcast, but most importantly, I'm home with
04:32my kids now.
04:33I picked them up from school.
04:34I'm not going to sugarcoat it.
04:36It was freaking hard, but it was worth every late night and every weekend to get to this
04:41point.
04:42So after working with all of those brands and all of these students, I've seen every mistake
04:46a UGC creator can make on Fiverr.
04:48And I've made most of them myself.
04:50So you don't have to.
04:51And Fiverr is just the beginning.
04:52Once you get that dialed in, you use that as a launch pad to then go out and do way,
04:57way more.
04:57So if you're a UGC creator or wanting to start your own UGC business and want me and my team
05:02to help you one-on-one, you can book a free call.
