00:00Welcome back. Tensions remain high in Bolivia nearly a month into the protest with more than
00:0480 road blockades in six departments as a means of pressure to demand the resignation of President
00:08Rodrigo Paz. According to the road conditions map from the Bolivian Highway Administration,
00:14the city of La Paz still has at least 20 road blockades. There are also road closures in
00:19Cochabamba, Oruro, Chukisaca, Potosí, and Santa Cruz. The protest began in early May,
00:25called by the Bolivian Labor Union and the Tupac Qatari Workers Federation,
00:28which reiterated their commitment to continue the protest demanding the resignation of Rodrigo Paz.
00:44And in this statement, the International Coordination Platform, an organization that
00:48brings together collective activists and communities, the Wipala Network, expressed its
00:53solidarity with the Bolivian people and condemned the political tension caused by the government.
00:58The text states the following. Rodrigo Paz, in Bolivian, decided to repeal Law 1341 in an
01:03attempt to legalize violence by the armed forces, those intimidating the people with threats of
01:08violence against peaceful protests. In addition, it states, Trump urged these countries to implement
01:13strict law and order measures to defend their interests. Rodrigo Paz is cornered by his own lies,
01:19his corruption, and drug trafficking scandals, and has lost all credibility and the ability to govern the country.
01:30So what I want to say is, are there any other people who do not dare to combat this?
