00:00Into the Eliminator we go tonight, or could we stave off elimination and get even more hockey as those Vegas
00:06Golden Knights wait to see who's going to win the Eastern Conference and face them in the Stanley Cup Final
00:11tonight, 8 p.m. down in a rally, North Carolina.
00:15It's going to be Montreal. It's going to be Carolina and Joe.
00:18Usually at this stage of the game, it's like these are two really good hockey clubs here, maybe a heavy
00:22favorites, minus 150 or minus 160.
00:25Tonight, the Hurricanes favored Joe across the board, minus 250s, minus 240s, minus 260s in the marketplace in a total
00:34of five and a half.
00:35Carolina has lost one time in the playoffs. That was game one of the series. Since then, it's been all
00:40Carolina Hurricanes.
00:42Do we see an extended series or do the lights get turned out on the Montreal Canadiens tonight?
00:48And all those Canadians with those Stanley Cup hopes, poof, gone one more year.
00:54It's kind of crazy, Donnie, but I mean, here we go, right?
00:57I mean, Carolina's got an opportunity, one win away from making their first trip to the Cup Finals since winning
01:03it all in 2006.
01:05They lost, don't forget, the opening game of this series, 6-2.
01:09And then, of course, the Canes became the Canes, and they rattled off three consecutive wins.
01:14And, listen, if you're Montreal, if there's one thing that you've learned here is chasing the game is never a
01:20good idea when playing Carolina.
01:23Trying to make up a multi-goal deficit, not a good idea here with Carolina.
01:27You need to play from in front.
01:29Now, the only saving grace I will say is that Montreal has, A, been here before, Donnie, in the playoffs,
01:36and, B, for whatever reason, they are a much better road team than they are a home team.
01:44I would not be shocked if Montreal wins this game only to go back home, Donnie, and end up losing
01:50it in six years.
01:52So there's no value in backing to Canes.
01:54It's the easiest choice, and the market is telling you that.
01:57I would not look at over five and a half here, but I can tell you I think there's some
02:03value in maybe the puck line or Montreal here tonight.
