00:37Senator Jinggoy Estrada arrives at the Sandigan Bayan to post P90,000 in bail for his graft case.
00:43Former Public Works Secretary Manuel Bonoan soon arrives to do the same.
00:48The Sandigan Bayan issued the arrest warrant for Estrada in connection with his flood control graft case.
00:53Estrada faces one count of plunder and two counts of graft over alleged corruption in flood control projects,
00:58but the warrant only covers the graft case.
01:01Sandigan Bayan presiding Justice Geraldine Faith Ekong says the 5th Division is still deliberating on Estrada's plunder case because of
01:07pending motions.
01:09Along with Estrada, others accused are former DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan, District Engineer Manny Bulusan,
01:15District Engineer Arturo Gonzalez Jr., and Assistant District Engineer Denril Cesar Cortuna.
01:20This is Estrada's third time to face charges, first from a plunder case in 2001 with his father, former President

01:28over wetting protection money, and the second in 2014 for plunder and graft over the pork barrel scam.
01:35President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. opposes the proposal to allow Senators to vote online.
01:40This as Senators of the Majority Block pushed a motion to allow Senators to vote in absentia.
01:45I disagree with that. I understand that we had to do it in COVID because there was a health risk.
01:53But I do not see any particularly good reason for us to allow it now.
01:59The President points out the proposal to amend the Senate rules benefits Sen. Bato de la Rosa,
02:05who has been hiding from his International Criminal Court arrest warrant.
02:08For someone who is actually a fugitive from justice,
02:12na hinahanap ng police, na hinahanap ng Interpol, at may arrest warrant galing sa ICC,
02:21palagay ko hindi siya dapat magbumoto hanggat dumating siya dun sa Senado.
02:27Marcos says he is keeping track of ongoing developments in the Senate.
02:31I watched with horror that this is the Senate, that the Senate has become this.
02:40I look at my other fellow Senators,
02:45madalas kaming nagtitinginan ni E.S. Ralph,
02:49ganyan ba tayo nung Senador tayo?
02:52Meron ba tayong ganyan na ginagawa?
02:53Hindi tayo ganyan.
02:54He also denies accusations his administration-targeted Senators of the Majority Block with legal cases.
03:00Marcos served as Senator in the 15th and 16th Congresses from 2010 to 2016.
03:07President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. says he has no plans to replace Interior Secretary John Vic Remulia
03:13amid rumors that the Cabinet official is on the way out.
03:16Marcos responds with yes when asked if he was still satisfied with Remulia's performance.
03:21Amid criticism, he failed to secure the arrest of Sen. Bato de la Rosa.
03:24Yes, I don't know why that rumor went around.
03:30I think somebody wants his job.
03:33Kaya kinakalat na matatanggal na siya
03:35para siguro ang inaasahan nila sila ay mailagay.
03:40Pero wala kaming pinaplano na gano'n.
03:44De la Rosa has gone into hiding after the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant against him.
03:49He is accused of crimes against humanity of murder as Rodrigo Duterte's police chief in Davao City
03:54and PNP chief during the nationwide war on drugs campaign.
03:59Passengers may expect lower plane ticket prices next month
04:02after the Civil Aeronautics Board lowered the surcharge rate for the first half of June.
04:07In an advisory, the board says the surcharge level from June 1 to 15 will be at level 13.
04:12This is lower compared to the level 15 rate for May 16 to 30.
04:16A fuel surcharge is an additional fee added to transportation costs to cover the volatile fuel prices.
04:22With the adjustment, fuel surcharges for domestic flights will range from P423 to P1,237.
04:29Meantime, international flight surcharges will range from P1,396.74
04:35to P10,385.42 depending on distance and destination.
04:41Airlines that plan to impose a surcharge during this period must first secure approval from the board.
04:47The US and Iran reached an agreement to extend the ceasefire and lift restrictions on shipping through the Strait of
04:53Hormuz.
04:53But this is still pending US President Donald Trump's approval while Iranian state media says it has not been finalized.
05:00The agreement would extend the truce for another 60 days and allow traffic to flow through the strategic waterway.
05:05Negotiators are still tackling key issues such as Iran's nuclear program.
05:09If approved by leadership in Washington and Tehran, it would be the biggest step toward peace since the conflict began
05:15on February 28.
05:16The Trump administration has said several times a deal to end the fighting was closed only to have Iran dispute
05:23the claims.
