00:00:00Oh my god!
00:00:02Oh, look at that!
00:00:03Absolutely phenomenal!
00:00:05Rooney Alcorn!
00:00:07Welcome to Match of the Dead.
00:00:50Hello, three games on tonight's Match of the Day.
00:00:52Big matches in the race for Europe and a huge one at the bottom of the table.
00:00:56You can also vote for April's Goal of the Month.
00:00:59And big games means the big hitters are in.
00:01:02Good evening, Micah Richards and Alan Shearer.
00:01:04And good evening to the rest of our regular pundits.
00:01:06West Ham's defeat against Brentford yesterday meant that a win would lift Spurs out of the bottom three.
00:01:12They faced Aston Villa this evening.
00:01:13And your commentator is Mark Scott.
00:01:17While West Ham's loss would have given Spurs a lift,
00:01:21Roberto Deserbi's been trying to rev his men up too,
00:01:24telling them they have to silence the negative voices inside of them.
00:01:29Tottenham haven't had any positives against Villa this season,
00:01:32losing in both league and cup to them already.
00:01:34But it is a much-changed side they face tonight with Martinez, Cash, Tielemans and Rodgers.
00:01:40The only ones who also started the Europa League loss of Forest on Thursday.
00:01:45Spurs long-awaited and much-needed league win last weekend came at a cost with Simmons and Solanke.
00:01:52The latest names added to the injury list.
00:01:55Tell and Richarlison replaced them with Utoghi and Paulinia in for the bench, Spence and Kusuma.
00:02:05Important for Villa, vital for Spurs.
00:02:08Can they take advantage of West Ham's wobble yesterday and climb above the Hammers into safety?
00:02:16Mark Lee didn't get there, Benteke onto it, Richarlison early chance which he snatched at.
00:02:23Richarlison on the swivel, saw his strike actually taken off his toes by the backtracking Uri Tielemans.
00:02:32One down, four to go for Roberto Di Servi.
00:02:34Reckons Spurs can win all of their final matches, which is pretty punchy given they've only managed eight wins all
00:02:40season.
00:02:43Petro Poro.
00:02:45Leeson Colomolani.
00:02:46Wings is across.
00:02:47Martinez had come out as well.
00:02:50Wings off for safety first.
00:02:54No John McGinn in the Villa squad today.
00:02:56Unai Emery says that he's not 100%.
00:02:58So they decided not to risk him with the second leg of that Europa League semi coming up against Forrest
00:03:05here on Thursday.
00:03:07That's going to be a long delivery from Danso here.
00:03:11Can't get to it.
00:03:13Gallagher will.
00:03:15He might have a pop here.
00:03:16Oh!
00:03:17Got a Gallagher.
00:03:18His first goal for Tottenham.
00:03:21And it could be seismic for Spurs.
00:03:26What a way and what a time to get your first goal for the club.
00:03:32Oh, they believe now that the escape is on.
00:03:36Tottenham in front early.
00:03:38Thanks to Connor Gallagher.
00:03:40Looked like the danger had been dealt with from the initial throw, but Connor Gallagher had other ideas.
00:03:46One touch to bring it down.
00:03:48The next to hook it beyond Martinez and in.
00:03:52And Spurs find themselves in front and on course to escape the relegation zone.
00:03:59Villa nil.
00:04:00Spurs one.
00:04:03Tottenham decent value for their lead.
00:04:07Here's Kohler Mouane, three to aim for in the area.
00:04:11Kohler Mouane nearly finds Richarlison.
00:04:14Paulinho urges out a hit.
00:04:15Obliges!
00:04:16And hits the post!
00:04:20Flag's up now.
00:04:22A close shave for Aston Villa there.
00:04:25As Jao Paulinho, the hero in the Midlands last weekend, nearly gave Spurs daylight at Villa.
00:04:34Unai Emery wants energy from the fans.
00:04:37They're doing their best to try and get the Villa team going.
00:04:42Gallagher.
00:04:45Tell.
00:04:46Dangerous. Richarlison's up there!
00:04:48And Martinez makes the save from Kohler Mouane.
00:04:52Another chance for Tottenham to go two up.
00:04:55And again Martinez is able to save the day for Villa.
00:04:59No one picking up Randall Kohler Mouane.
00:05:02And patted over the top by Martinez.
00:05:11All the way across.
00:05:13And Danso!
00:05:14That was travelling.
00:05:16The doggy.
00:05:19Villa look ragged right now.
00:05:21Spurs sets block.
00:05:23And it's two!
00:05:23It's Richarlison!
00:05:25Tottenham Hotspur in Dreamland!
00:05:28Who would have seen this coming?
00:05:31Spurs 2-0.
00:05:33Inside of 25 minutes.
00:05:39They can barely believe it.
00:05:41And the Tottenham fans are probably struggling to take it in two.
00:05:46Just look at the amount of time and space that Spurs had on the ball here.
00:05:51And boy did they make it pay.
00:05:53Richarlison not picked up properly.
00:05:56And as soon as he got on the end of that gorgeous ball in from Matisse Tell.
00:06:00There was only going to be one end result.
00:06:04Villa nil.
00:06:05Spurs 2.
00:06:06This is no smash and grab.
00:06:08Tottenham fully deserving of their two goal lead.
00:06:14Aston Villa look like the side in the relegation zone right now.
00:06:17I've not seen many Aston Villa games this season.
00:06:20But I would wager a fair amount that this is probably one of the worst halves that they have had
00:06:25this season.
00:06:26He might agree with me.
00:06:27He certainly does.
00:06:31Villa's recent league form has been a bit patchy.
00:06:33But they do still have one of the best home records this season.
00:06:3635 points from 17 games.
00:06:39So this is very out of character for them.
00:06:44Gallagher side down by Barkley who will become the first Villa player in the book.
00:06:51Spurs on their way out of the drop zone and on course for back-to-back league wins for the
00:06:56first time since the first week of the season.
00:07:02Rodgers passes on here for Abraham.
00:07:05Tammy Abraham on the speed and execution of the tackle from Van de Ven gets Spurs out of jail.
00:07:13Could have been the first serious sight of Kinski's goal for Villa but Van de Ven judged it perfectly.
00:07:22He'd have been furious with the first half.
00:07:24He'll be equally disappointed with the second I think because there's been no sign of any kind of response.
00:07:30Almost as if they're resigned to their fate this evening.
00:07:36Telemans.
00:07:38Bings.
00:07:44Bailey.
00:08:00Bailey with this corner with 90 seconds of the 90 minutes to play.
00:08:09And headed over the top and that's as good as it's got for Villa this evening.
00:08:14Tyrone Mings was up.
00:08:15I think it might have just come off his shoulder.
00:08:17This is the best that Aston Villa have conjured up in front of goal all night.
00:08:23It wasn't exactly great was it?
00:08:26Have had many enjoyable experiences this season but those Spurs fans are drinking in every minute of this.
00:08:45Teele mons.
00:08:48Teele- Export.
00:08:49Lindeloff.
00:08:49Now Bailey.
00:08:53Cash.
00:08:55Mondia.
00:08:57Villa on the board.
00:08:59but there is barely enough time for the game to be restarted
00:09:05it's their first effort on target
00:09:06and it's ended up in the back of the Spurs net
00:09:10beautiful ball in from Matty Cash
00:09:12and guided in ever so well by Emi Buendia
00:09:15little chance for Kinski with that
00:09:17but little chance of it meaning anything in terms of the result tonight
00:09:27Spurs storm out of the relegation zone
00:09:30they have been brilliant tonight
00:09:32and suddenly look like a team brimming with belief
00:09:36and their cruise against an abject Aston Villa tonight
00:09:40spells trouble for another side in Clareton Blue
00:09:44as West Ham now drop below the dotted line
00:09:49Aston Villa 1, Tottenham Hotspur 2
00:09:53what did you get so right today
00:09:55that meant that you dominated the game as you did?
00:09:58by the high pressure for sure
00:09:59and the ball possession for me is not a surprise
00:10:02it's not my credit
00:10:04because I'm lucky to work with a lot of very important players
00:10:08some people will say you made seven changes
00:10:10and did that have an impact on how you played
00:10:13what's your take on that?
00:10:17last week we lost against Fulham
00:10:20and which player played against Fulham
00:10:23and which player played against Nottingham
00:10:26and we lost two matches
00:10:28and we lost as well with another player
00:10:30we lost and we can win with every player
00:10:34pressure becomes important at this stage of the season
00:10:36you're now out of the relegation zone
00:10:38West Ham in it
00:10:39we have to feel the same pressure
00:10:43football is different
00:10:46can change week by week
00:10:48we can't forget what we felt before the Wolverhampton game
00:10:53and before the Palinja goal in Wolverhampton
00:10:57we were light
00:10:59and so we have to push again
00:11:01and I can't permit anyone to think in a different way than me
00:11:06I actually pretty much forgot I scored towards the end of the game
00:11:09because I was so focused on just us getting the win
00:11:13that I forgot about my goal early on
00:11:15but yeah looking back now in the change room
00:11:18it was a nice goal
00:11:20I took it well
00:11:21and hopefully there's a few more to come
00:11:23you can look back at it on Match of the Day tonight as well
00:11:25if I can talk you into watching it
00:11:26yeah I will do
00:11:27don't worry about that
00:11:29sure he was very convinced about that
00:11:31which is unflattering to say the least
00:11:34don't be nervous
00:11:35but he is watching
00:11:37look it was as good as Spurs
00:11:39as well as Spurs have played in a long time
00:11:41and it was right from the off
00:11:43that they set their intentions up Micah
00:11:45yeah they pressed high from the front
00:11:47from the start of the game
00:11:47I thought that was exceptional
00:11:49in terms of how they set up
00:11:51and I just want to look at it
00:11:54because Spurs have been playing a bit lower
00:11:56but against Villa today
00:11:58they were brave
00:11:59and Rich Allison really did his work for his team
00:12:03but the good thing is about this
00:12:05when you press high like this
00:12:06obviously you've got to block the lines
00:12:08exactly what they did
00:12:09and then they're going man to man
00:12:10but the key part is Barkley
00:12:12in the centre of the pitch
00:12:13your defender has to be brave
00:12:16and jump
00:12:16and that's exactly what Danso did
00:12:18and then Rich Allison
00:12:19gets an opportunity
00:12:21which he should have passed
00:12:22again Colomani, Conor Gallagher, Benson Kerr
00:12:25and Rich Allison
00:12:25blocking the middle of the pitch
00:12:28because you know Villa liked to occupy
00:12:30the middle of the pitch
00:12:32and they didn't allow them to play
00:12:34in that middle
00:12:36and then get the ball wide
00:12:37and that's because they were aggressive
00:12:39on the press
00:12:40and they were brave in doing that
00:12:42and the defenders have to buy into it
00:12:44Rich Allison I mentioned again
00:12:46Colomani really good in occupying the defenders
00:12:51force it in one way
00:12:52and then everyone can jump on
00:12:54this time it's Van de Ven
00:12:55on Barkley
00:12:56and it made it so difficult
00:12:58for Villa to play
00:12:59and they didn't know what to do
00:13:01and then when they got the ball
00:13:02there was composed on the ball
00:13:03but this was the best clip for me
00:13:06although nothing came through
00:13:08in terms of what they did here
00:13:09and scoring
00:13:10but what it did do
00:13:11it forced a throw in
00:13:14and from the result in throwing
00:13:16Danso with his long throw
00:13:17and this is Conor Gallagher
00:13:19we've talked about
00:13:19he talked about his finish
00:13:20look at that for a touch
00:13:22and look at that for a finish
00:13:25absolutely brilliant
00:13:26and that was all
00:13:27in the first 12 minutes
00:13:29they started bright
00:13:30they was confident
00:13:31they had a game plan
00:13:32they stuck to the tactics
00:13:33and I just thought
00:13:35they was outstanding today
00:13:36I really did
00:13:37so they started with that intensity
00:13:39and their intent was obvious as well
00:13:41in the number of second balls
00:13:42they won Alan
00:13:43they won every single tackle
00:13:44they won every single second ball
00:13:46and what they also did is
00:13:48they took the risk out of their game
00:13:50in terms of not playing from the back
00:13:52in unnecessary circumstances
00:13:54and they did that
00:13:55and when I said they won every second ball
00:13:57that's what I mean
00:13:58they might not have won that first header
00:13:59but what they did really well is
00:14:01is engage and make sure they won the tackle after that
00:14:04and then look at that
00:14:05look at that commitment
00:14:07that is what you need
00:14:09when you're in desperate trouble
00:14:10you need every single player at it
00:14:13and Spurs were today
00:14:14that's what I mean
00:14:15about taking the Villa press out
00:14:17so they go long
00:14:18and then they commit men forward
00:14:20and that's what they did
00:14:21and now they outnumber Aston Villa
00:14:22in forward positions
00:14:23because of that long ball
00:14:25because Villa wanted to press them
00:14:27and at times they couldn't
00:14:28because they missed the press out
00:14:30really unlucky
00:14:31but they get into that position
00:14:32because the same thing again
00:14:34he's got options
00:14:36Kinski can pass it left or right
00:14:37but the same thing again
00:14:39ball in behind
00:14:39they don't win the first one
00:14:41but look where the ball falls to
00:14:42because they're that brave
00:14:44and they're committing that many men
00:14:45forward into forward positions
00:14:48then getting the ball into the box
00:14:50when they do win it
00:14:50and they've also got three in the box as well
00:14:52they create another opportunity
00:14:54but for a good save from Martinez
00:14:56second half
00:14:57same thing
00:14:57look
00:14:57missed the press out again
00:14:59they go long
00:15:00they don't win the first header
00:15:01but they win that second ball
00:15:03that was a constant
00:15:04right throughout the game
00:15:05and that gave them
00:15:06the platform
00:15:07to go and play
00:15:08and to create chances
00:15:10and again
00:15:10look how many men
00:15:11they've got in forward positions
00:15:13they were brave
00:15:14they were aggressive
00:15:15and they were absolutely outstanding
00:15:17and deserve to win that game
00:15:19but the difference is
00:15:20sorry on that
00:15:21is
00:15:21when you go forward
00:15:22like that
00:15:23if there's any
00:15:25any ball that
00:15:25you wouldn't high up the pitch
00:15:27when
00:15:28when Spurs were winning the ball
00:15:29a little bit further back
00:15:31they couldn't really get out
00:15:32so if you look at the clips
00:15:33that Allen showed there
00:15:34even if they lose it
00:15:35they can get the second
00:15:36if not the second
00:15:37they can get the third
00:15:38and that's because
00:15:38the defence of midfield
00:15:39and the forwards
00:15:40were all being brave
00:15:41with their press
00:15:42and they were helped
00:15:43in their performance
00:15:44by the fact that
00:15:45Villa looked like
00:15:46they were lacking energy
00:15:47and they looked like a team
00:15:48that had made seven changes
00:15:50which is what Unai Emery did
00:15:51they also looked like a team
00:15:53who have
00:15:54a Europa League semi-final
00:15:56that they're 1-0 down in
00:15:57to come on Thursday
00:15:58and they looked like a team
00:15:59who are fairly comfortably
00:16:01in fifth place
00:16:02and a Champions League
00:16:03qualification spot
00:16:04yeah well
00:16:05some people might criticise
00:16:07I think the Villa fans
00:16:08there was
00:16:08there was a few boos
00:16:10at half time
00:16:10in terms of the effort
00:16:12the players that he put out
00:16:13today were more than
00:16:14capable of performing
00:16:15better than they did today
00:16:16but if you look at
00:16:17the bigger picture
00:16:18in terms of the
00:16:19Champions League position
00:16:20and then the semi-final
00:16:21Europa League
00:16:22they're doing a great job
00:16:24you're going to get
00:16:24those sort of performances
00:16:26sometimes
00:16:26and it was just
00:16:27one of those today
00:16:27they're in the semi-final
00:16:28they've got it all to do
00:16:29in the return leg
00:16:30they're in fifth
00:16:31as you said
00:16:31they've got six points gap
00:16:34if Unai Amri
00:16:35gets that team
00:16:36into the Champions League
00:16:37for next season
00:16:38they've got two chances
00:16:39of doing that
00:16:39in the league
00:16:40and by winning
00:16:41the Europa League
00:16:41he's entitled to change
00:16:42that team around
00:16:43and do whatever
00:16:43he wants to do
00:16:44he's not worried
00:16:45about whatever
00:16:46the opposition
00:16:46or whoever thinks
00:16:47that's sport
00:16:48and integrity
00:16:49or whatever it is
00:16:49it's his team
00:16:50he can do what he wants
00:16:51he's earned the right
00:16:52to do that
00:16:53what about the
00:16:54relegation battle
00:16:54what does this do to that
00:16:56because we thought
00:16:56it might be a straight
00:16:57shootout
00:16:58between Tottenham
00:16:59and West Ham
00:17:00the thing is
00:17:01now Tottenham
00:17:02are only two points
00:17:03behind Nottingham Forest
00:17:04they play Chelsea
00:17:05tomorrow at Chelsea
00:17:07so who knows
00:17:09what the gap could be
00:17:09come the end of the day
00:17:10and now maybe
00:17:12three teams
00:17:13in the running
00:17:14to get relegated
00:17:15at the end of the season
00:17:16it's been a terrible weekend
00:17:17for West Ham
00:17:17hasn't it
00:17:17with the result
00:17:19for them yesterday
00:17:20and the result
00:17:20that went against them
00:17:21to do with Spurs
00:17:24so they have got it all
00:17:25to do
00:17:25and looking at their
00:17:26fixtures as well
00:17:27I think that game
00:17:28against Leeds United
00:17:29possibly their best chance
00:17:30of getting three points
00:17:31you can't predict
00:17:32every time we make a prediction
00:17:34we get it wrong
00:17:35don't we
00:17:35but from those fixtures
00:17:37I think West Ham
00:17:38have got it all to do
00:17:39I think Spurs now
00:17:41have got that little bit
00:17:42of momentum
00:17:42even though the players
00:17:43have found a different way
00:17:45to be playing
00:17:45mainly Spurs fought
00:17:47with the technical players
00:17:49they could go a different way
00:17:50but with the intensity
00:17:52they showed today
00:17:52they can win a game
00:17:53that's their standard now
00:17:54Spurs
00:17:54that is their standard
00:17:55they've set the line there
00:17:56they cannot fall
00:17:57below that line now
00:17:58in terms of energy
00:18:00and if they keep
00:18:01that level up
00:18:02could be safe
00:18:03coming into the season
00:18:03they could keep that up
00:18:04but I think
00:18:05De Zerbic
00:18:06needs a lot of credit
00:18:08for the way
00:18:08he set his team
00:18:10it's one of those
00:18:11situations where
00:18:12you're in a relegation battle
00:18:13and you've got
00:18:15players who hide
00:18:15none of those players
00:18:17hide
00:18:17hid out there tonight
00:18:18and I think
00:18:19the fact that he's
00:18:20giving them the confidence
00:18:21I think that is the difference
00:18:22is there an element
00:18:23of frustration
00:18:23around Spurs though
00:18:24that they haven't done
00:18:26this so far this season
00:18:27I know they've had
00:18:27some of those players
00:18:28missing at different points
00:18:29but they are capable
00:18:31of this
00:18:32but they haven't shown it
00:18:33it's actually trying
00:18:34to draw it out of them
00:18:35and at the minute
00:18:36they win last week
00:18:37they win again today
00:18:38so it looks as if
00:18:40the players are responding
00:18:41to what he's doing
00:18:41in training
00:18:42and what he's giving them
00:18:43the feedback
00:18:43might yet be a good end
00:18:44to the season
00:18:45for Tottenham
00:18:45now it's time for
00:18:46April's goal of the month
00:18:48here are the contenders
00:19:11that is fabulous
00:19:14from the 17 year olds
00:19:17what composure
00:19:29Brooks
00:19:30has come through
00:19:31the stop
00:19:31big chance to win it
00:19:32what a lovely goal
00:19:34by Bournemouth
00:19:36they've been the better side
00:19:37and it was a lovely move
00:19:48gross
00:19:49oh what a finish
00:19:52that is
00:19:53it's Karen Mitoma

00:30:26Maynou
00:30:34matches couldn't you
00:30:35good ball that Luke Shaw here for United
00:30:37Luke Shaw's cross toward Amadiallo
00:30:39and McAllister kept it away

00:31:08really was
00:31:12McAllister's little flick
00:31:13didn't really do enough
00:31:15and Maynou gets such a
00:31:17good precise contact on this
00:31:22perfectly placed
00:31:23Manchester United lead
00:31:28here's Curtis Jones
00:31:29and he's found Alexis McAllister
00:31:32who feeds
00:31:35Kyrgyz who moves it quickly

00:31:47wanted a pass
00:31:49couple of step overs
00:31:51step inside
00:31:52but wide
00:31:54from Ngamou
00:31:58and Manchester United
00:32:00will be playing Champions League
00:32:02football next season
00:32:03that mission has been
00:32:05accomplished
00:32:06and they've beaten Liverpool
00:32:08in the process
00:32:09Manchester United 3
00:32:12Liverpool 2
00:32:14mistakes are part of football
00:32:15and I think
00:32:16shows the group
00:32:17and the character
00:32:17to come back from that
00:32:19and bounce back
00:32:19and if anything
00:32:20to win with
00:32:21with a late winner
00:32:22gives you a great feeling
00:32:23and to see the stadium
00:32:24light up like it did
00:32:25is very special
00:32:26I think we controlled
00:32:28the game
00:32:29maybe the whole game
00:32:30but mainly the second half
00:32:32and in the first half
00:32:32when we controlled it
00:32:33we were not a threat
00:32:34at all
00:32:36offensively
00:32:37but in the second half
00:32:38we combined controlling
00:32:39the game also
00:32:40with being a threat
00:32:40but one moment
00:32:42of switching off
00:32:43is usually for us
00:32:46conceding a goal
00:32:47Champions League
00:32:47of course it's important
00:32:49let's not over celebrate it
00:32:50we want more than that
00:32:51but nevertheless
00:32:52to do it
00:32:53with so many games
00:32:54to spare
00:32:55from the position
00:32:56that we're in
00:32:56I think
00:32:57there's a lot of people
00:32:58and a lot of players
00:32:59need a lot of credit
00:32:59for that
00:32:59it's never an easy game
00:33:01against them
00:33:01there's always lots of ups
00:33:02and downs
00:33:03and just glad to come out
00:33:04with a win
00:33:05it's nice to be back
00:33:06among the goals
00:33:06I haven't scored in a while
00:33:07and amazing fixture
00:33:09to do it in
00:33:09I think Kobe's
00:33:10taken another step forward
00:33:12in the last couple of weeks
00:33:13especially
00:33:13I think his performance
00:33:14and his level of performance
00:33:15has been top
00:33:16and there's still a bit
00:33:18to come from him
00:33:19but at the moment
00:33:20with the level that he's playing at
00:33:21he can be really pleased
00:33:22with himself
00:33:23now before we talk about the game
00:33:25there was news this afternoon
00:33:26that Sir Alex Ferguson
00:33:27was taken to hospital
00:33:28after falling unwell
00:33:30shortly before the game
00:33:31at Old Trafford
00:33:31we have been told
00:33:32it was a precautionary move
00:33:34and not an emergency situation
00:33:36and of course
00:33:37everyone here at Match of the Day
00:33:38sends our very best wishes
00:33:40and he would have enjoyed
00:33:42Manchester United's
00:33:43first league double
00:33:44over Liverpool
00:33:44in a decade
00:33:46they've qualified
00:33:47for Champions League football
00:33:48next season
00:33:48which as Michael Carrick said
00:33:50it's not something they want
00:33:51to over-celebrate
00:33:52but it's crucial to the
00:33:53the club moving forward
00:33:55financially as much
00:33:56as anything else
00:33:56and also
00:33:57it was Kobe Mainu
00:33:59who did it
00:34:00and that
00:34:00what a journey
00:34:01he's been on Micah
00:34:02he's been
00:34:04as a player
00:34:05he's been outstanding
00:34:07but today
00:34:08I thought he was
00:34:09exceptional
00:34:10not just because
00:34:11of the stuff
00:34:13that I'm going to
00:34:14talk about here
00:34:15the defensive
00:34:16it's football
00:34:17intelligence
00:34:18game
00:34:19intelligence
00:34:20football IQ
00:34:21all those things
00:34:22understanding
00:34:23the positions
00:34:24you need to be
00:34:25in
00:34:26when you're in
00:34:27this position here
00:34:27obviously helped
00:34:28by Casemiro
00:34:29and
00:34:31Kobe Mainu
00:34:32has always been
00:34:33a player
00:34:33that we've liked
00:34:34and we've talked
00:34:35about for so long
00:34:36but we didn't know
00:34:37what
00:34:37was he at 8
00:34:38was he a 6
00:34:39was he a 10
00:34:40I think he's found
00:34:41his position now
00:34:42and he feels at home
00:34:44and when I talk
00:34:45about the football
00:34:45intelligence
00:34:46this is what I'm
00:34:47talking about
00:34:47he keeps his game
00:34:48very safe
00:34:49when he needs to
00:34:50and then arrives
00:34:52late
00:34:52when he needs to
00:34:53also
00:34:54he sees a space
00:34:55in front of him
00:34:56and then taking the risk
00:34:57and then can you finish
00:34:59and the finish
00:35:00was brilliant
00:35:01and I've been in
00:35:03that situation
00:35:03when you're a young
00:35:05a young boy
00:35:05and everyone's
00:35:06talking about you
00:35:07and it's very difficult
00:35:09to keep that level
00:35:10of consistency
00:35:11but his consistency
00:35:12we just got some stats
00:35:13here to show you
00:35:14how good he was
00:35:15in that game
00:35:16in terms of his passes
00:35:17possession won
00:35:18distance covered
00:35:19but the goal he scored
00:35:20and it was a big goal
00:35:21against Liverpool
00:35:23but just the psychological
00:35:25sort of place
00:35:26that he's in
00:35:26when everyone's telling
00:35:27how good you are
00:35:28at 21
00:35:29or 20
00:35:29before
00:35:30he's played for England
00:35:31and he's played in big games
00:35:32and you're left out
00:35:33by the manager
00:35:34how do you deal with that
00:35:36and he's dealt with it
00:35:37spot on
00:35:38his attitude's been brilliant
00:35:39he could have lost
00:35:40his confidence
00:35:40but he didn't lose confidence
00:35:41and he puts in a
00:35:42performance
00:35:43like that
00:35:44so it wasn't
00:35:45more about
00:35:46analysing his game
00:35:47and what he did
00:35:47it was more about
00:35:48how he was taking on
00:35:49information
00:35:50and could he perform
00:35:51in his head
00:35:52because he had a manager
00:35:53who didn't fancy him
00:35:55and Carrick has put
00:35:56his arm around him
00:35:57and these are the performances
00:35:58that you're getting from him
00:35:59week in week out
00:36:00and I just love to see him
00:36:01and tied him into that
00:36:03long term contract
00:36:03at Manchester United
00:36:04as well
00:36:05I could do with one of those
00:36:05Colby Maynard
00:36:08had the decisive moment
00:36:10in the game
00:36:10there was one moment
00:36:12of controversy
00:36:13with Benjamin Seshko's goal
00:36:14and when Arna Slott
00:36:15was asked about it
00:36:16in his post-match
00:36:17press conference
00:36:17he was animated
00:36:20I don't think
00:36:21it's a surprise
00:36:22to anyone
00:36:23this season
00:36:24that if there is a
00:36:25VR intervention
00:36:26or if there is something
00:36:27that you could look at
00:36:28or could be left
00:36:29could be right
00:36:29that then that decision
00:36:31goes against us
00:36:32that has been
00:36:32the whole season
00:36:34every single time
00:36:35the same
00:36:35this is a complete pattern
00:36:37over the whole season
00:36:38but there's also a pattern
00:36:40that we concede
00:36:40ridiculous goals
00:36:41when we are the better team
00:36:42there's one or two
00:36:43switching off
00:36:44and then we concede a goal
00:36:45and that is more
00:36:46that we have more influence on
00:36:48so I should focus
00:36:49much more on that
00:36:49than on these
00:36:51referees' decisions
00:36:51that go against us
00:36:52but it's clear
00:36:53that the whole season
00:36:55is the same
00:36:56And we will have a look
00:36:57at the way that
00:36:58Liverpool played
00:36:59in this game
00:36:59in just a moment
00:37:00but we just want to
00:37:01clear up the Seshko goal
00:37:02and was it handball
00:37:03was it not handball
00:37:04what did you think Alan?
00:37:06Well I thought
00:37:07it was handball
00:37:07yeah
00:37:08and I think
00:37:08I mean I don't want to
00:37:09see these goals disallowed
00:37:11right
00:37:11I think that
00:37:12the handball laws
00:37:13are complete nonsense anyway
00:37:14and this laws as well
00:37:17but in terms of consistency
00:37:18and applying the law correctly
00:37:21I think me and Micah
00:37:22agreed straight away
00:37:23that we both said
00:37:24that's hit his hand
00:37:25you can see the motion
00:37:26of the ball move
00:37:27correct
00:37:27because it hits his left hand there
00:37:29it's only a slight touch
00:37:30I get that
00:37:31and as I said
00:37:31I don't want to see them disallowed
00:37:33but when they're applying the law
00:37:34and that's what they say
00:37:35if it hits any part of your hand
00:37:37any of the goalscorer
00:37:38it should be disallowed
00:37:39and that should have been disallowed
00:37:40they say that that was inconclusive
00:37:42the footage
00:37:43but it's there for us
00:37:45for all
00:37:45see
00:37:47the motion of the ball
00:37:49changed didn't it
00:37:50and that's what you need to look at
00:37:52like Alan said
00:37:53we don't want to see goals
00:37:54given away for this
00:37:55when we're talking about
00:37:56fingernails or whatever
00:37:57but the law is
00:37:58if it comes off your hand
00:37:59which it clearly did
00:38:00in our view
00:38:02the goals shouldn't have been given
00:38:03it's as simple
00:38:04it's as simple as that
00:38:06but isn't it
00:38:06I mean
00:38:07we're at this stage
00:38:08this is where we're at now
00:38:10this is where they've got us
00:38:12we're actually debating
00:38:14whether it's flicked onto his finger
00:38:16unintentionally
00:38:17oh we'd have talked about this before as well
00:38:19that's the stage
00:38:20the game is in now
00:38:21the laws are in now
00:38:22it's ridiculous
00:38:23but look
00:38:24in terms of
00:38:25the way that Liverpool played
00:38:27Arnest Slott
00:38:28said very honestly
00:38:29that decision
00:38:30is not what cost Liverpool a game
00:38:32the bits that they can control
00:38:34they didn't get right
00:38:35particularly in the first half
00:38:36yeah well
00:38:36their defending I thought
00:38:38was all over the place
00:38:39again
00:38:40and for large parts
00:38:41of this season
00:38:41that's why they're in the position
00:38:43they are
00:38:44and having the season
00:38:45they are
00:38:45I mean I think
00:38:45that's quite a simple header
00:38:48from Andy Robertson
00:38:49should be doing a lot better
00:38:50that's the goal
00:38:51the goal to concede
00:38:53but they're actually
00:38:54all over the place
00:38:55even when they gave the ball away here
00:38:56Van Dijk gets caught
00:38:57in no man's land
00:38:58he's not sure
00:38:59where it's going tight
00:39:00then all of a sudden
00:39:01he doesn't want to run in behind
00:39:02and stay with Fernandes
00:39:03lets him run there
00:39:05and again
00:39:07I mean that's a
00:39:08a very very good ball in
00:39:09but they have so much space
00:39:12then Canardy has a look behind him
00:39:14then Robertson has a look behind himself
00:39:16and he can see Bruno Fernandes
00:39:17and eventually when the ball goes in
00:39:20now Bruno Fernandes is a fantastic player
00:39:22but I don't think he should be winning that ball
00:39:24at the far post
00:39:24against Andy Robertson
00:39:26against the quality of the defender that he is
00:39:28again
00:39:30look at the space he's got to run into there
00:39:33the ball eventually comes out
00:39:35on the right hand side
00:39:36but
00:39:37Fernandes in the middle
00:39:38should do better
00:39:39he's got incredible amounts
00:39:41of space
00:39:42and also the concern is here
00:39:44couldn't you
00:39:45how on earth can he have
00:39:46so much time
00:39:47to take a touch
00:39:48and turn
00:39:49take another touch
00:39:50and then
00:39:51I mean
00:39:52Canardy just gets it
00:39:53so wrong
00:39:54I mean
00:39:54goodness me
00:39:56that just sort of
00:39:57summed Liverpool up
00:39:58and the season
00:39:59that they're having
00:40:00and Van Dijk decides to go in
00:40:02and close down
00:40:03on his own
00:40:03nowhere near him
00:40:04no one near him at all
00:40:06but have a look at the back line here
00:40:08when the ball eventually comes in
00:40:09how far
00:40:10Kerkhez is behind
00:40:11I mean
00:40:11look at that line there
00:40:14yeah
00:40:14it really is remarkable
00:40:16I mean
00:40:16to be fair to him
00:40:17he does get across
00:40:18and he does
00:40:18he does get the ball
00:40:20eventually
00:40:20but again
00:40:21it's comical defending
00:40:24Kerkhez comes on
00:40:25for Robertson
00:40:26he again has a look
00:40:27at Ahmed
00:40:27he can see him
00:40:28smallest man on the pitch
00:40:29chips it in
00:40:31and he heads it
00:40:31this time at the far post
00:40:33then McAllister
00:40:34gets his clearance
00:40:34all wrong
00:40:35it's a very very clever finish
00:40:37but Liverpool defensively
00:40:39goodness me
00:40:41so many errors
00:40:42and they've been punished
00:40:43for it all season
00:40:44as they were today
00:40:44what about Manchester United
00:40:46in their immediate future
00:40:48is Michael Carrick
00:40:49the man to
00:40:49take them forward
00:40:51we've asked this question
00:40:52so many times
00:40:53since he took over
00:40:54what we can see
00:40:55and what the facts
00:40:56behind this are
00:40:57is that if the table
00:40:59started when Michael Carrick
00:41:00took over
00:41:00Manchester United
00:41:01would be top
00:41:02and clear
00:41:03top five points
00:41:05ahead of Arsenal
00:41:06they've qualified
00:41:07for Champions League football
00:41:08they've signed
00:41:09Kobi Manu up
00:41:09to a long term deal
00:41:11and presumably
00:41:11increased any value
00:41:12that they would get
00:41:13if they were to
00:41:14sell him on
00:41:15I know there's an emotional pull
00:41:16but is there a sensible
00:41:18business decision
00:41:19to be made here as well
00:41:20he's brought a minute
00:41:20to do a specific job
00:41:21and he's done that job
00:41:22very very well
00:41:24and in those games
00:41:24he's won in big games
00:41:26as well
00:41:26he's beaten City
00:41:27beaten Arsenal
00:41:27beaten Liverpool
00:41:29so for me
00:41:30yes
00:41:30he at least deserves
00:41:32the chance
00:41:32to go again
00:41:33I don't know
00:41:34maybe a one year contract
00:41:35with different incentives
00:41:36if he hits
00:41:37different targets
00:41:38but
00:41:38he was brought in
00:41:40to do a job
00:41:41and he's done that job
00:41:42who else
00:41:43would they bring in
00:41:44if not Michael Carrick
00:41:45I mean
00:41:46people keep asking
00:41:47that question
00:41:48I think
00:41:48you need to
00:41:49be careful
00:41:50what you wish for
00:41:50they've got a good
00:41:51manager there
00:41:52he knows what he's doing
00:41:53he knows the club
00:41:54and he's getting results
00:41:55what more
00:41:56what more do you want
00:41:58now Andoni Iraola's
00:42:00Bournemouth
00:42:00are unbeaten
00:42:01in 14 Premier League games
00:42:03it's the longest run
00:42:04in the division
00:42:04and they're pushing
00:42:05for Europe
00:42:06they faced Crystal Palace
00:42:07at the Vitality Stadium
00:42:08and Jonathan Pearce
00:42:09was there
00:42:1217 years ago
00:42:14this weekend
00:42:14Bournemouth overcame
00:42:16a minus 17 point deficit
00:42:18imposed for financial irregularities
00:42:20to stay in the Football League
00:42:21on the last day
00:42:23a win today
00:42:23would take them
00:42:24to the brink of Europe
00:42:25a draw for Palace on Thursday
00:42:27will be enough
00:42:28to take them
00:42:28to the Conference League final
00:42:30two Bournemouth changes
00:42:31from the draw with Leeds
00:42:32Ryan replaces
00:42:33Brooks having scored
00:42:35from the bench last week
00:42:36and Adams starts
00:42:37for the first time
00:42:38since early March
00:42:39with Christie dropping
00:42:40to the bench
00:42:41and with Thursday's
00:42:42returning at Shakhtar
00:42:43in mind
00:42:44Palace rest Mateta
00:42:45Mitchell
00:42:46Richard Saar
00:42:47and Wharton
00:42:47Tadiria plays
00:42:49his first league game
00:42:49since March the 5th
00:42:50and there are starts
00:42:51for Deveni
00:42:52for the first time
00:42:53since January
00:42:53Lerma
00:42:54Johnson
00:42:55and Thursday
00:42:56scorer
00:42:56Strand Larson
00:43:00Crystal Palace
00:43:02fans singing
00:43:02they're on the way
00:43:03to Leipzig
00:43:04for the Conference Final
00:43:05Bournemouth
00:43:07from near oblivion
00:43:08to Europe
00:43:09in a generation
00:43:10that would be
00:43:12some story
00:43:12now Jimenez
00:43:14that's out
00:43:16for a corner kick
00:43:23and over it goes
00:43:24to Leipzig
00:43:24and he dropped down
00:43:26to 8th
00:43:26after that defeat
00:43:27at Newcastle
00:43:28but it is a very
00:43:29tight tussle
00:43:29for European spots
00:43:32in comes to Tavani
00:43:33in the corner
00:43:33Henderson
00:43:33punches
00:43:36skyed up
00:43:36by Brennan
00:43:37Johnson
00:44:05and he couldn't bring it
00:44:07under control
00:44:36Evan Nielsen
00:44:37the 5 changes
00:44:38this could get messy
00:44:39for Crystal Palace
00:44:40today
00:44:44Camada
00:44:45called in 2 mines
00:44:46Scott pushes it through
00:44:48Evan Nielsen
00:44:52Bournemouth
00:44:53mines very much set
00:44:55on Europe
00:44:56Crystal Palace
00:44:57mines
00:44:57not really here
00:44:59today
00:44:59Evan Nielsen
00:45:01slightly leaning
00:45:02off it
00:45:03Riola
00:45:04with just the
00:45:05three games
00:45:05left after this
00:45:06Fulham away
00:45:07Manchester City
00:45:08at home
00:45:08then Forest
00:45:09on the last day
00:45:11Tavani
00:45:14Bournemouth
00:45:15playing with
00:45:15their usual
00:45:16intensity
00:45:18Scott
00:45:18lovely ball away
00:45:19to Jimenez
00:45:20first time
00:45:21cross in
00:45:22would have been
00:45:22glorious
00:45:23then it was over
00:45:24by Ryan
00:45:26lovely move
00:45:27swept out
00:45:28to the fullback
00:45:29early cross
00:45:30couldn't get over it
00:45:36here come Bournemouth
00:45:37again
00:45:38sweeping into
00:45:39the open space
00:45:40Tavani
00:45:41Tavani
00:45:42Henderson
00:45:43beats it out
00:45:45could and should
00:45:46have been two
00:45:46there
00:45:47Tufer
00:45:48sees ghosts
00:45:49in the middle
00:45:51they've been
00:45:51such the dominant
00:45:53team
00:45:54that was a chance
00:45:55to make it to
00:45:55they didn't take it
00:45:57and football is such
00:45:58a strange old beast
00:45:59you wonder if the game
00:46:01could spin on that
00:46:03it's been half an hour
00:46:05of mishaps
00:46:06for the conference league
00:46:07semi-finalists
00:46:10long throw by James
00:46:11long throw by James Hill
00:46:14Henderson comes
00:46:15good catch
00:46:16oh he's dropped it
00:46:16as he bashed into
00:46:17his own player
00:46:18he's crashed into
00:46:19a Bournemouth player
00:46:20and a penalty
00:46:21is given
00:46:23he came
00:46:24caught comfortably
00:46:25then bashed into
00:46:26his own player
00:46:28dropped the ball
00:46:29and his momentum
00:46:30took him on
00:46:31Sinesi felt the touch
00:46:32and went down
00:46:33and there's barely
00:46:35a touch
00:46:36barely a touch
00:46:37but Sinesi
00:46:39sensed it
00:46:40and goes down
00:46:41belatedly
00:46:42and theatrically
00:46:44and surely
00:46:45this will
00:46:46be VAR
00:46:47checked
00:46:48somewhere
00:46:49back in the
00:46:50long distant
00:46:51pass
00:46:52I'm sure
00:46:53the laws of
00:46:55association football
00:46:56said something like
00:46:57it's a contact sport
00:47:00has been VAR
00:47:01checked
00:47:01and it is a penalty
00:47:04dear oh dear
00:47:06game's gone
00:47:09Kruppi
00:47:14puts the keeper
00:47:14the wrong way
00:47:152-0 Bournemouth
00:47:20it's a
00:47:20deserved
00:47:212-0 lead
00:47:26and the joy
00:47:27of Thursday night
00:47:28to the despair
00:47:30and I would imagine
00:47:31fury
00:47:31of a Sunday afternoon
00:47:33good penalty
00:47:37four goals
00:47:38and five
00:47:39for him
00:47:39now
00:47:42I think
00:47:43given that
00:47:44Crystal Palace
00:47:45were between
00:47:45games against
00:47:46Shakhtar
00:47:47a Bournemouth
00:47:48victory today
00:47:48would not have
00:47:49been a surprise
00:47:50but the
00:47:51comparative
00:47:51easiness
00:47:52of it
00:47:52is a
00:47:53surprise
00:47:56truth there
00:47:58across the
00:47:59far post
00:47:59Ryan
00:48:05to get to the
00:48:07bowline
00:48:07couldn't get
00:48:08over it
00:48:09Ryan
00:48:15on by
00:48:16Mitchell
00:48:20Brooks
00:48:20for Bournemouth
00:48:22in behind here
00:48:24chance for
00:48:24Ryan
00:48:26and that's game
00:48:27over
00:48:30Crystal Palace have
00:48:31brought all their
00:48:32big guns on for the
00:48:32second half to no
00:48:33avail
00:48:37lovely finish
00:48:39balls in back-to-back
00:48:41games for the
00:48:41Brazilian
00:48:42teenager
00:48:45Brooks
00:48:45lovely ball
00:48:46and they've
00:48:47tried that
00:48:47pass so many
00:48:48times today
00:48:49the pass
00:48:50put Lacroix
00:48:51out of the
00:48:51game
00:48:52but this is a
00:48:53super finish
00:48:54across the
00:48:55goalkeeper
00:48:56touched it
00:48:57away
00:48:59looking on
00:48:59very satisfied
00:49:01indeed
00:49:01the
00:49:02first team
00:49:03technical
00:49:03director
00:49:04Simon
00:49:04Francis
00:49:05what a
00:49:05wonderful
00:49:05servant
00:49:06he was
00:49:06to this
00:49:07club
00:49:13Wharton
00:49:13oh
00:49:14nice little
00:49:15drop of the
00:49:15shoulder
00:49:15that
00:49:16in comes
00:49:17a chip
00:49:17looking for
00:49:18Sar
00:49:18hits the
00:49:18post
00:49:19that's
00:49:19all the
00:49:19day
00:49:19for Palace
00:49:20Mitchell
00:49:21back to
00:49:21the
00:49:21far
00:49:21post
00:49:22area
00:49:22and it's
00:49:23cleared
00:49:23away
00:49:24I think
00:49:24Sar
00:49:25might have
00:49:25been
00:49:25offside
00:49:25anyway
00:49:26but
00:49:27sort of
00:49:27sums up
00:49:28their
00:49:28fortune
00:49:28tonight
00:49:30I don't
00:49:30think it
00:49:31would have
00:49:31counted
00:49:31maybe it
00:49:32would have
00:49:32been tight
00:49:33slam the
00:49:34ball against
00:49:34the post
00:49:36they're
00:49:36singing about

00:53:33I absolutely
00:53:34love him
00:53:35and he's my wild card
00:53:35for the World Cup
00:53:36I tried to tell
00:53:37Alan a year ago
00:53:39about Anderson
00:53:39and I'm telling him
00:53:40about Alex Scott
00:53:41now
00:53:41I mean
00:53:42set pieces are so big
00:53:43in today's game
00:53:44he takes a good
00:53:45set piece
00:53:46I don't know what
00:53:46Emma's doing there
00:53:47just misjudges it
00:53:48but it's this calmness
00:53:50on the ball
00:53:51when he gets on the ball
00:53:52and then
00:53:53can you see a pass
00:53:54outside of the foot
00:53:55Evan Olsen should do
00:53:56a lot better
00:53:57but this is the best one for me
00:53:58can you receive the ball
00:54:00in between the lines
00:54:01a lot of midfielders
00:54:02hide and don't want the ball
00:54:04and yes
00:54:04he might only play it
00:54:05to the side
00:54:06but he's being brave
00:54:07on the ball
00:54:08and then
00:54:09keeping the ball
00:54:10moving
00:54:11I just
00:54:12every time I watch him
00:54:13he's so comfortable
00:54:14on the ball
00:54:15you know
00:54:16he's got that little
00:54:17technique and touch
00:54:19and
00:54:20he's got everything
00:54:21that a midfielder
00:54:22should have
00:54:23playing in the Premier League
00:54:25and look at that
00:54:25for the light
00:54:26lightful little touch
00:54:27there to him out
00:54:28and
00:54:28you know
00:54:2967 touches
00:54:30and every time I watch him
00:54:32I just love his game
00:54:33I think he's really
00:54:34that good
00:54:35and long may it continue
00:54:36he's having a brilliant
00:54:37brilliant season
00:54:38he's standing out
00:54:39in almost every game
00:54:40he's superb
00:54:41and one thing that these
00:54:42two teams have in common
00:54:43is that
00:54:44their managerial situation
00:54:46is in flux
00:54:48at the moment
00:54:49Andoni Arreola
00:54:49will be leaving
00:54:50Oliver Glasner
00:54:51will be leaving
00:54:51and what's quite interesting
00:54:53about the two of them
00:54:54is that they have
00:54:55an identical record
00:54:57in charge
00:54:58pretty much
00:54:58they've got the same
00:54:59number of points
00:55:00per game
00:55:01that's in Arreola
00:55:01who's played 111
00:55:03140 of them
00:55:04so it's 1.41 points
00:55:05per game
00:55:06and is ninth
00:55:07in the points ranking
00:55:08since he took charge
00:55:10and
00:55:11Oliver Glasner
00:55:12finds himself
00:55:13in exactly
00:55:14the same position
00:55:15different number
00:55:15of games
00:55:16obviously
00:55:16but with that
00:55:17same record
00:55:18of 1.41 points
00:55:19per game
00:55:20and ninth
00:55:20in the points ranking
00:55:22and yet
00:55:24and yet
00:55:24we're not going to see
00:55:25them next season
00:55:26And they've both got
00:55:27an incredible chance
00:55:28to go out on a high
00:55:29there is possible
00:55:30Bournemouth could qualify
00:55:31for Champions League
00:55:32it is very possible
00:55:33If Bastion Villa
00:55:33finish fifth
00:55:34and win the Europa League
00:55:35that sixth place
00:55:35will be a Champions League spot
00:55:36And Crystal Palace
00:55:37have got a chance
00:55:37of winning a trophy
00:55:39and they can go out
00:55:40on incredible highs
00:55:41and they've both
00:55:43done brilliant jobs
00:55:44and clearly
00:55:44very very talented managers
00:55:46I'm going to see
00:55:47Arreola going
00:55:48because what he's brought
00:55:49to this Bournemouth side
00:55:50in terms of
00:55:50the press
00:55:51the recruitment
00:55:52has been really brilliant
00:55:53and the way they play football
00:55:55so to have that
00:55:56potentially going
00:55:56to the Champions League
00:55:57and leaving
00:55:58and not being a manager
00:55:59to take them
00:56:00at potential
00:56:00We don't know
00:56:01he's leaving the Premier League
00:56:02Oh
00:56:03Do you know something?
00:56:04I don't
00:56:05No
00:56:05I don't know something

00:58:52challenged by
00:58:53Jurf
00:58:53right on the edge
00:58:54of the box
00:58:54it's a penalty
00:58:59and it's 2-0
00:59:00to Brentford
00:59:04tidy turn
00:59:05from Dam
00:59:06score
00:59:06there it is
00:59:07and it's an excellent
00:59:09three points
00:59:10for Brentford
00:59:12Saka
00:59:14he's got the space
00:59:15oh he's now got
00:59:16a position
00:59:17brilliant from Saka
00:59:18and a tap in
00:59:19for Jokeres
00:59:23that's a delightful
00:59:24pass for Jokeres
00:59:25a lot to do though
00:59:26he's got to wait
00:59:27for assistance
00:59:27it comes from Saka
00:59:29Saka
00:59:35it's Trossard
00:59:36Trossard chips it
00:59:37in for Jokeres
00:59:40Arsenal have been
00:59:41outstanding
00:59:42in this first half
00:59:46Michael not only
00:59:47did Arsenal get the
00:59:48win
00:59:48they got three goals
00:59:49which has put them
00:59:51on a four goal
00:59:52better goal difference
00:59:53than Manchester City
00:59:54they've scored one more
00:59:55goal than Manchester City
00:59:56have played two games
00:59:57more
00:59:58but is momentum
00:59:59now back with Arsenal
01:00:00in the title race
01:00:01I think beating Fulham
01:00:02was massive
01:00:05it's very difficult
01:00:06because I always thought
01:00:07Arsenal wasn't
01:00:08creating enough
01:00:08I think bringing Saka
01:00:10back in
01:00:10coming back from injury
01:00:11made a massive difference
01:00:12I think
01:00:12Jokeres' runs in behind
01:00:15allowed them to get up
01:00:16the field a little bit
01:00:17earlier
01:00:17I thought Trossard
01:00:18was good as well
01:00:19so in terms of momentum
01:00:21yes you say
01:00:22Arsenal will
01:00:23go all the way
01:00:25but Man City
01:00:25Man City always
01:00:27they're always there
01:00:28or thereabouts
01:00:29so it's going to be
01:00:30interesting to see
01:00:30towards the end of the season
01:00:31well what is also
01:00:32very interesting
01:00:33is to see what you guys
01:00:34are going to predict
01:00:35having said
01:00:35Cal is going to start
01:00:36the show
01:00:36it's a fool's game
01:00:38to predict what's going to happen
01:00:39are you going first
01:00:39or am I going first
01:00:40I think we're going to
01:00:41let Alan go first
01:00:42in this one
01:00:44because Alan's put a little bit
01:00:46of jeopardy
01:00:48into the whole equation
01:00:50so we'll take a look
01:00:51at who everybody's got left
01:00:51and remember also
01:00:53that Manchester City
01:00:55have got games in there
01:00:56Arsenal have got their
01:00:57semi-final still
01:00:59to come in
01:00:59in the Champions
01:01:00the second leg of their
01:01:00semi-final to come on
01:01:01on Tuesday
01:01:02look at the amount of games
01:01:03though
01:01:03Manchester City have left
01:01:05compared to Arsenal
01:01:05I just think the belief
01:01:08that that will give
01:01:09Arsenal yesterday
01:01:09and the return of Saka
01:01:11and what he gives
01:01:12to that team
01:01:13in terms of
01:01:14balls into the box
01:01:15energy
01:01:15drawing so many players
01:01:17towards him
01:01:18which then might free up
01:01:19one or two others
01:01:20I think going forward
01:01:21that result yesterday
01:01:22was huge for Arsenal
01:01:23and I can see them
01:01:25winning every game
01:01:26when I look at
01:01:26Manchester City
01:01:28they've got the experience
01:01:29some of the players
01:01:31have obviously been there
01:01:32and know what it's about
01:01:33clearly the manager has
01:01:35but I just think that
01:01:35that game at Bournemouth
01:01:36with the form there
01:01:37they might just get a draw
01:01:39there so that's why
01:01:40I'm saying Arsenal
01:01:41Micah?
01:01:43Both teams are going
01:01:44to win everything
01:01:4785, 85
01:01:48So now you've given
01:01:49yourself the more
01:01:49difficult task
01:01:50of trying to predict
01:01:51how many goals
01:01:51they're going to score
01:01:52I'm thinking of 2012
01:01:54we did it on goal difference
01:01:55I think Man City
01:01:56will do it on goal difference
01:01:58again
01:01:58You've been saying this
01:01:59for a while
01:02:00I have
01:02:00Those 2012 comparisons
01:02:01I think Mika
01:02:02I have
01:02:03Maybe
01:02:04just maybe
01:02:05I think it'll be
01:02:05the same this season
01:02:06It's going to be
01:02:07very interesting
01:02:08to see
01:02:08and of course
01:02:08Manchester City
01:02:09have got a couple
01:02:10more games
01:02:10to try and get
01:02:11that goal difference
01:02:12up than Arsenal
01:02:12have between now
01:02:13and the end of the season
01:02:14but Arsenal
01:02:14have the advantage
01:02:15at the moment
01:02:16Let's take a closer look
01:02:17then at the Premier League
01:02:19table
01:02:19We've already looked
01:02:19at the very top of it
01:02:20Manchester United's win
01:02:22means that they
01:02:23will be playing
01:02:23in the Champions League
01:02:24next season
01:02:26Bournemouth have moved
01:02:26above Brentford
01:02:27and Brighton
01:02:28in the race
01:02:28for European football
01:02:30Tottenham's second win
01:02:31in a row
01:02:32sees them climb out
01:02:33of the relegation zone
01:02:34with just three games
01:02:35left to play
01:02:36Nottingham Forest
01:02:37two points above them
01:02:39go to Chelsea
01:02:40tomorrow
01:02:53And the results
01:02:54are in
01:02:55for April's
01:02:55goal of the month
01:02:56Rio and Gamora
01:02:57in third place
01:02:58with 17%
01:02:59of the vote
01:03:00with 19%
01:03:02it is
01:03:02Xabi Simons
01:03:03and the winner
01:03:05and the winner
01:03:05with 22%
01:03:06is Karamitoma
01:03:14Gross
01:03:15Kadiolo
01:03:16Oh

01:03:18that is
01:03:18it's Karamitoma
01:03:20with a fantastic goal
01:03:24a blistering volley
