02:22Malia Ciclamino when it comes to the finish line in Rome.
02:25Well, just as the break was about to be caught with 22k to go, one man, the Belgian Jonas Gines,
02:31took off by himself, the Altersson Premier Tech man, and survived to the Red Bull Kilometre where he took the
02:37six-second bonus and, of course, the cash prize that goes with it.
02:41Behind him, the bunch was led through, steady block pacing by Oliver Narsen of Decathlon, who had a look round
02:48to see the British rider Connor Swift to his right.
02:50Gines was still surviving, but he was dangling out there, and all eyes were turning to the final climb.
02:57Topped out with 10k to go, Jonas Viñegor had been brought to the front.
03:00It was only a kilometre long, Di Mirco Cadel Poggio, but 11.3% average.
03:06And unbelievably, it was Alfonso Iolaglio having been on the deck earlier in the day, wearing the Malia Bianca, going
03:12clear in front of a massive crowd, riding through the pink smoke to the top.
03:17But it was Sepp Kuss behind, just calmly, steadily pacing Jonas Viñegor up behind Alfonso Iolaglio, and past him too.
03:26Not a big attack by the race leader, but just one to lift things, and it did detach a select
03:31group at the front.
03:32Mati Thrandel in there as well, Tomas Silva, and then Jai Hindley seemed to be stirred up by this too.
03:38He'd made that front group and had a good go as well.
03:42It was actually Jonas Viñegor taking maximum mountains points there as well, for the classification that he leads.
03:52Then we saw Jonas Kulset joining Alfonso Iolaglio, but it was coming down to a sprint.
04:00And it was pretty ominous too.
04:04This was the lead out.
04:06Jasper Sterling with Paul Magnier on his wheel.
04:09Jonathan Milan was there too.
04:13Eduardo Zambonini sitting in behind Magnier, seemingly getting the perfect turn around that final left-hander, but Magnier went for
04:18it.
04:18This was to be only the third sprint of its client, a big bunch sprint in this year's year at
04:22Italia, and he has been untouchable, Paul Magnier.
04:25There is no doubt about it that the Frenchman is the best sprinter in the race, and he's beaten three
04:31Italians today.
04:32Jonathan Milan again so close, but no stage win.
04:37Jonas Viñegor, no problems today with his Malia Rosa, of course, which he will carry into tomorrow's big queen stage.
04:46He is, of course, leading in the Malia Azura competition too.
04:51Best young rider.
04:52A brilliant ride by him today, Alfonso Iolaglio.
