00:00How do you feel like you've been able to mitigate, if not completely, erase that distraction?
00:04Well, I mean, again, that, you know, we all have to deal with things, you know, outside of here.
00:10And my focus and obviously the excitement that I have for coaching is what is most important right now.
00:18You were talking about the balance of family and football.
00:22Just how would you describe how that process has been going?
00:25Oh, really good.
00:25I think that that's, again, I appreciate my family is great.
00:29I love Jen.
00:30I love the boys.
00:30I love, you know, my personal friends.
00:33And then, you know, this spring is focused on really the coaching staff, the players.
00:39I mean, I can only tell you I'm going to be there today.
00:41I can't tell you anything other than I'm going to be out there today in full force.
00:46And I mean that because, you know, who knows what's going to come up.
00:51I'm not even, you know, anything could happen.
00:54Well, anything can happen is right.
00:56And that's Mike Vrabel talking to the press today at New England Patriots minicamp and OTAs as teams are going
01:03through practices to get ready for a season.
01:06It's also interesting to me the juxtaposition of Patrick Mahomes practicing at Chiefs minicamp.
01:16Daniel Jones returned to practice for the Indianapolis Colts.
01:20And you have Mike Vrabel talking today to the press about his family situation.
01:28Look, the NFL is tough.
01:30We start the show talking about stuff with the Giants.
01:33We're talking about stuff here with the New England Patriots.
01:36And here's the deal.
01:38This story is not going away.
01:41The great news is Mike Vrabel, who played for Bill Belichick, obviously understands how to compartmentalize and obviously understands how
01:50to make the main thing the main thing and focus, of course, on football and winning.
01:56But who knows the next time we're going to get a new set of photos?
02:00Who knows the next time we're going to get a new revelation?
02:05I don't think the New England Patriots are in any way, shape, or form, and I've been outspoken on this,
02:09going to fire Mike Vrabel.
02:11I know that was a hot-button topic for conversation in certain places in the court of public opinion.
02:17I think Bob Kraft absolutely loves Mike Vrabel as a head coach.
02:21And I think that Mike Vrabel is phenomenal as a head coach.
02:25I voted him last year coach of the year in the National Football League.
02:30But this is going to be a storyline.
02:33And I'm not quite sure when this storyline goes away.
02:38When you think about everything that transpired, and you think about how every single day there's another level and a
02:47layer,
02:47and as teams are prepping right now and getting ready for the upcoming campaign,
02:52and you have Mike Vrabel answering questions about relationships and photos and infidelity,
03:00that's not great if you're the New England Patriots.
03:04Not to mention, football-wise, we've been through the schedule.
03:08I have New England starting 0-4, not to mention football-wise.
03:14Look, it's a monster topic for conversation on how lucky and how fluky New England was one year ago.
03:21I'm glad that he had this conversation today, because on June 1st, we're going to see A.J. Brown get
03:27traded to New England.
03:28So it's going to be more football conversation, and the focus will be on Drake May and throwing A.J.
03:33Brown,
03:33and Brown's going to have a press conference, and he'll get introduced.
03:36And this is all going to happen.
03:39But boy, as other teams are preparing to win games, Mike Vrabel still has to talk about his home life,
03:47and his wife, and how much he loves her, and the kids, and the relationship,
03:52and everything that's been featured in Page Six for the New York Post.
03:56That's not great if you're the New England Patriots.
04:00And this story is not going anywhere anytime soon.
