00:00I'm in front of the federal courthouse in downtown Los Angeles, where on Wednesday,
00:05Kenneth Iwasama was sentenced to 41 months for his role in the death of actor Matthew Perry.
00:12You'll recall that Iwasama administered the fatal dose of ketamine. Now, it was
00:19extremely dramatic in court as Perry's stepfather, Keith Morrison, addressed the court,
00:24as did Lisa Ferguson, Perry's business manager, who claimed that Iwasama left Perry to die.
00:32I asked Morrison about that after court.
00:35Mr. Morrison, do you believe, like Lisa did, that Ken left Mr. Perry to die?
00:43I think so, yes. I mean, I don't know what other conclusion you can draw. When that amount of
00:48ketamine was in the system, enough that it was three times the dose for an operation to put him
00:53under. It was enough that the medical examiner said he would have been unconscious in a matter
00:57of a second or two, and dead very soon they're out.
