00:00As I tell the story now, you know, over two years later, it's still shocking to me.
00:05The day Lila was born, that was the happiest day of my life.
00:08The worst day of my life was the day Sherry died.
00:12Sherry was controlled and manipulated by her parents from a very young age.
00:20They engaged in behavior that was consistent with Munchausen by proxy.
00:24That's why Sherry died.
00:26I am fighting for justice and I will not stop.
00:30In all 50 states exists some form or another of a grandparent's visitation law.
00:36In my opinion, being a grandparent is a privilege.
00:38I had to step up and do what was in my daughter's best interest because the court wasn't doing it.
00:44Even while Sherry was in the hospital, I believe they had begun this campaign to basically undermine me
00:50and essentially take Lila away from me, make me look like an unfit parent.
00:54My daughter, prior to the age of three, while Sherry's father was her pediatrician, was prescribed 36 prescription medications.
01:04She had 56 office visits.
01:08I filed several complaints.
01:13Instead of taking accountability in the face of facts, they chose to shift the blame and blame Sherry.
01:21They didn't take accountability for telling her not to seek treatment.
01:25They blamed her for it.
01:26They also blamed me.
01:28They told me that Sherry's death was my fault because it was all the stress that I put on her
01:35the last three months of her life.
01:37So, thank you.
