Woman, 24, Saves '30%' of Hair During Cancer Treatment Thanks to Husband's Help, but Admits Process Was 'Painful'

On Sept. 3, 2025, Ashley Bottorff was diagnosed with HER2-positive, hormone-negative breast cancer. Following her diagnosis, Bottorff knew she needed to be close to her family in Kansas City, Mo., and told her now-husband, Jonny Bottorff, who coaches football at California Polytechnic State University, that she was moving back home. "He ended up leaving his job and moving back to Kansas City," she shares.
