00:13The easiest part of it now, I'll say understanding of my assignments on different jobs.
00:25In the league, you've got to have diversity when it comes to play sheet because if you're not diverse in
00:33what you do, people can pick up on what you're doing.
00:36So knowing the playbook and knowing all the jobs I have to a T can benefit me way more in
00:46the long run than ever before.
00:47Because last year, I would just go out there, I would say, eh, I somewhat know what I need to
00:52do, but I'm not 100% sure.
00:55And then I go out there, I overthink, I don't make a play, then it's just a whole lot of
00:59things because I'm just too open here.
01:01So knowing my job and knowing what I have to do just eliminates 75% of my problems.
01:07So I've just been dialed into the playbook, and this is what my coach has got to say.
01:11I heard Jerry praising you after a lot of the wrecks today, whereas last year he was coaching you about.
01:18I mean, is that different?
01:20Oh, yeah, it's definitely different.
01:22I think I got my first good job from Jerry this year, this all season.
01:25So maybe I'm doing something right.
01:28So, you know, Coach Jerry, that's my guy.
01:32You know, he never gave up on me, always held me close, even when I wasn't performing good.
01:37You know, he always stayed there, still by me.
01:39I appreciate him for everything he does for us as a group.
01:43He's an amazing coach, and I feel like I wouldn't be as prepared for year two if I didn't have
01:49him.
01:49So, you know, it's just been a great start to year two.
01:53Do you notice a difference even on the drills?
01:55Because on some of the things I watched today, like you were really explosive.
02:00Not that you didn't have that ability before, but it just seems like everything's a notch faster.
02:05I feel like that comes from mental clarity.
02:08You know, once you know what you're doing, you can play and move a lot faster, though.
02:12When you're in your head about things, when you're questioning yourself, when you're second-guessing yourself,
02:17that's when you can move around timid.
02:19I feel like that's what I've been trying to eliminate from my game since I walked out of here after
02:23year one,
02:24just trying to be more mentally focused and mentally locked in on what I have to do.
02:28So, have they just focused you on the edge and not screwing around with inside, or are they kind of
02:36focusing on one spot?
02:39No, not really.
02:40I still move around a lot.
02:41Yeah.
02:42It's just, I don't know.
02:43I'm telling you, like, it just feels like everything's just clicking.
02:47Like, I just, I think it's maybe because I've been hearing the same thing for a whole year already,
02:51so, like, it just come more natural to me.
02:54But this year, everything's just been clicking for me on the field.
02:57Like, I haven't really had no real hiccups so far.
03:00You said a lot of it's playbook-related and really knowing the playbook.
03:03How motivated is just having that metaphorical weight on your shoulders with the contract
03:06and now kind of feeling more free with that behind you and not dealing with that this offseason?
03:11Man, like, getting up, like, not having to deal with that this year is just a big plus.
03:19Because last year, like, dealing with all that, my mind was always going to, like,
03:26am I doing the right thing?
03:27Like, am I doing the right thing for my future?
03:29Is this going to mess up my chances?
03:31Not having all that on my shoulders no more, just making me feel more calm, more peaceful,
03:37and more prepared to go out there and do my job.
03:40And I ain't got to worry about all these extra things that don't have nothing to do
03:44with nothing I'm doing on the field.
03:47Just behind me is just a big plus.
03:49All that said, how excited are you for the start of the regular season
03:52to go out and show it on the field?
03:53I'm excited.
03:54You know, I still got, it's still a long way to go.
03:56I still got a lot of work to do.
03:57But I'm so excited to play with these guys.
03:59You know, we got two, three monsters added to the room.
04:04So I can't wait to see how this year turned out.
