00:03Georgia Royale from the New York Post here in Oak Forest, Illinois, where Pistols and Pilates is
00:09turning heads with its unexpected mix of fitness and firearms. We're stepping into class today to
00:16see what this controversial workout craze is all about. Let's go. Pilates is all about control and
00:27so is holding a gun. It's the reservation of I have the power but I don't have to use it.
00:32Learning
00:32how to control both. Some people are not into Pilates, some people are not into guns. Completely
00:37understand that. But this is more of a woman's empowerment class. That's the main purpose behind
00:42this. Just finished Pilates and I am sweating bullets. And now it's time to go fire some. Let's go. We
00:50want
00:50people to understand firearms because one, it is a sport. It's not just to protect yourself and of
00:56course that's important. But it is a sport. It's a fun sport at that too. So I think everybody should
01:01at least know the safeties of it and how to operate, understand, not to point it to people,
01:06things like that. Just the basic safety rules. I live alone so firearm safety is very important to me
01:13being able to have a independent sense of protection for myself, being by myself. Because I was like,
01:21hmm, I want to do something for my birthday. And it just stood out to me. I'm like, this was
01:25in Pilates.
01:26What a great mix of the two.
