00:12based right here who are doing incredible work, who are doing incredible work on biosecurity
00:18and research to protect New South Wales. This investment will help them to be able to do that
00:24work to better protect our state, to work with industry, and I'm so proud to be able to invest
00:29this money into giving them better facilities to be able to continue that world-leading research,
00:36particularly into insects and bugs that can cause billions of dollars worth of damage if they can
00:42take hold in New South Wales, but also other wonderful, important research that goes on
00:48at this facility that is so important to protecting industry and protecting New South Wales from
00:54biosecurity threats. We've got to protect New South Wales and our government is working with a
00:59very tight budget situation in New South Wales. Everyone's aware of how hard it is to get money
01:04to spend on projects, but this is a demonstration of how committed I am as the Minister for Agriculture,
01:11but how committed also the government is to protecting New South Wales. We've put significant investment
01:17into protecting the state's biosecurity, into making sure that industry is not just protected,
01:23but can thrive as a result of this incredibly important research. The smallest little bugs can
01:29cause billions of dollars worth of damage, and so investing in prevention and research right here
01:35at Elizabeth MacArthur is well worth the investment, and getting it in a very tight budget situation is a
01:42demonstration to mine and the government's commitment to primary industries across New South Wales.
