00:00Then.
00:07Now.
00:17Forever.
00:23Together.
00:32This is your first promo back from injury.
00:36What I like to do is put something on paper, then tweak it to make it feel you.
00:41I always go, when in doubt, go real.
00:44Now my bicep is full of you, and I'm six months wiser in this business.
00:48I'm back, and basically just going out there and establishing myself again,
00:52letting people know that I believe if I hadn't got hurt in season two that I would have won the
00:56show.
00:57It's pretty stressful for me because I want to get it so right.
01:00So I go into just trying to read it as many times as I can, so I can live it
01:03out and not recite lines.
01:05More nervous for that than I have been for any match by far.
01:09Just because it's like it's all on me. If I mess this up, I can't blame nobody else.
01:14Please welcome Elijah Holyfield.
01:26So, last season in LFG, I was just finding my footing.
01:34I was just building momentum.
01:38And then, boom, I tore my bicep.
01:44The thing that really pissed me off was if I didn't tear my bicep, you're looking at the winner of
01:49LFG season two.
01:53My body was out for five months, but my mind kept gaining knowledge.
02:01And now that my bicep is fully healed, I got it all right here.
02:06And anybody who steps in this ring with me is in for a scary sight.
02:14My body is now stronger, my mind is now stronger, and my uppercut is ready to break jaws.
02:33This kid might have the goods.
02:35I want to see that dog come out tonight.
02:43Natty, KO, Booker, Bubba, welcome to another LFG episode.
02:48Excited to be here.
02:49Fire up, fire up.
02:49Fire up, fire up.
02:52So, we got a few matches tonight.
02:54Bubba, you'll have the first match.
02:56We have Braxton Cole, who I believe this is the second match against Andre Chase.
03:01Andre Chase is someone that I brought in about three years ago.
03:05I call him a mechanic.
03:07Credibility on the independent scene, has been in the ring for a few years.
03:10He's someone that could help lead these new athletes who know nothing about the business.
03:14So, I'm bringing Andre down to LFG to work with Braxton.
03:18So, he's in there with someone who has an idea and understanding of what we're doing in the ring.
03:23So, we're not bringing Chase into LFG.
03:26We're borrowing him for the night to help with Braxton.
03:29Exactly.
03:30Cool.
03:31Our next match, Natty, Callie Armstrong.
03:35Listen, this girl's a stud.
03:37She goes out there and just gets it done.
03:40And she's hungry.
03:41This is something that she's wanted to do for a long time.
03:43And, you know, we talk about those light bulb moments.
03:46That light bulb's turning on for her right now.
03:48I think you're going to really enjoy working with her.
03:49And then, someone that you all know very well, Serena Linton.
03:54She's an LFG veteran.
03:56This is a big match for her.
03:58She's in there with Callie Armstrong.
03:59She's going to, you know, more often than not, Serena's going to be the small body in this match.
04:04She's going to have to fight from underneath.
04:05And this is an opportunity for Serena to do that.
04:07Let's see that temper that Serena wants to show us.
04:11Yeah, I'd like to see some intensity from her.
04:13And much like P.J. Vassa, Serena's been here for a second now.
04:16And when you start to transition to the low-hanging fruit.
04:19Yeah.
04:19That's on the roster.
04:20Yeah.
04:21That's when, that's where you don't want to be.
04:23And final match, Booker.
04:25Nathan Cranton versus Elijah Holyfield.
04:29Elijah just came back from surgery, bicep.
04:32You know, we know how confidence and momentum is really important.
04:36Elijah had a good showing.
04:37Putting him in the ring with Nathan, who just came from us from the UK.
04:42Had some experience.
04:43Comfortable in the ring.
04:44Plays the Hale character really well.
04:46Good opportunity for Elijah.
04:48And just keep building on what he started.
04:51Yeah.
04:52You know, I like this kid Nathan.
04:53I think it's more of an opportunity for Nathan than it is for Elijah Holyfield to actually really be able
04:58to go out there and be that general.
05:00And take Elijah Holyfield to a place that perhaps he's never been.
05:04So, for me, I think this is the ultimate test.
05:08And since I don't have a match, I wanted to ask you guys if anyone has an objection to me.
05:14You know, we're trying to help people learn and introducing concepts they might not be familiar with.
05:19I was actually hoping I could maybe get on commentary to these matches.
05:24I can only aspire to be half as good as you one day.
05:27Are you kidding me, right?
05:28I mean, one day I won't be wrestling anymore either.
05:30You blazed a trail for us.
05:32Booker T!
05:34Whack!
05:35Whack!
05:35I'm good.
05:36I'm telling you, before long, you'll refuse to do commentary without me.
05:40We'll see.
05:45I'm good.
05:48My name is Andre Chase.
05:49I am the leader, founder, professor, kind of mentor to the younger wrestlers.
05:55Honestly, I do it all here at Andre Chase University.
05:57Here on NXT, it's all about the you.
06:01I've been a NXT Tag Team Champion twice.
06:04Andre Chase is back to the mountaintop.
06:09I've been in NXT for about five years, and I've been wrestling internationally, professionally for almost 19 years now.
06:16Chase U!
06:18You see the NXT universe to their feet, chant Chase U.
06:22I was a young wrestler once, and I understand when I got better, it was by better wrestlers and more
06:29experienced wrestlers than myself.
06:31You've given me feedback in real time.
06:33So, somebody like Braxton, he takes feedback and he applies it, which is something that I always appreciate.
06:42Another week of LFJ, smart guy versus smart guy.
06:50Chase U versus the PhD of the WWE, Braxton.
06:57Assume every person in that audience doesn't get it.
07:01They get it with you.
07:03They know the brain thing with you, but they don't get it with you.
07:06How do we tell that story?
07:08You're the brains of NXT, but I'm smarter than you.
07:13With me and Bubba, I think stylistically and philosophically, we have a lot of the same views on pro wrestling.
07:19There's many parallels I think we can do.
07:20We'll have the story of the match.
07:21Yeah.
07:21As far as putting the match together and leading the match, we clicked instantly, I would say.
07:27His frustration's going, my frustration's going.
07:29Because throw one, double duck, accelerate, cross body, and then we're into it.
07:36Trying to show that emotion and build over the course of that first match.
07:40Braxton, he's a very smart guy, which as the professor of Andre Chase University is something that I can appreciate.
07:45Why does a heel cheat?
07:47Do you know the answer?
07:48Because the baby outwrestles him.
07:51Excellent. Because he can't outwrestle the babyface.
07:54He's pretty much a perfect coach for me.
07:56You know, he cares about the psychology, the mindset, emotional manipulation, and that's kind of what I want to be
08:03all about.
08:03Kind of my whole, you know, being smarter than you gimmick, you need to be able to manipulate people emotionally.
08:09You go get the book, the ref's staring right at you, the ref's staring right at you, the ref pulls
08:14it away.
08:15You wanted the ref to take the book.
08:18I think I like that. That's a good smart one.
08:20It was a great little test for me to see how I can do with someone on TV.
08:26The goal is to try and put together TV quality matches so I can get to NXT.
08:29It was a great test to see how I can perform with someone who's a TV level talent.
08:37I'm so sorry to interrupt, Book, but I'm about to go out for commentary.
08:40So I figured I, can you bestow upon me any advice, any wisdom?
08:44Did you, you got those sheets?
08:45I do.
08:46You know what I mean, with the stats?
08:47I do, yeah.
08:47Stick to the stats.
08:48That's it?
08:49Stick to the stats and then add in a couple of little nuggets.
08:52You know, I like to call nuggets, which is sound bites.
08:55You don't want to talk too long.
08:57You know, you don't want to stretch too far.
08:58Keep everything short.
08:59Okay.
09:00Keep everything short.
09:01You got this.
09:01Can I use the shucky, shucky?
09:03Shucky ducky.
09:04Ducky.
09:05Ducky, quack, quack.
09:05Can I use it?
09:06Use it, brother.
09:07You got it.
09:08Hell yeah.
09:09Thank you.
09:11Elongate the quack, quack.
09:14Elongate that.
09:15As long as I can make it.
09:16You got it, yeah.
09:17No promises.
09:18I'll try.
09:18All right, let's do it.
09:22Welcome in to LFG.
09:23Dick Joseph alongside Jeremy Borash, and we're joined this week by a former two-time WrestleMania
09:28main eventer, former Universal Champion, former United States Champion, former Tag Team
09:32Champion, former NXT Champion, the one and the only Kevin Owens.
09:36You forgot the Intercontinental Champion.
09:37The former Intercontinental Champion.
09:39I wrote all these down for you.
09:40I skipped that one.
09:41I'm sorry.
09:42Anyway, thanks for joining us.
09:43Well, thanks for having me, guys.
09:44I'm excited.
09:49Well, I know this man is happy that Kevin Owens is joining us here on LFG.
09:54I would hope everybody's happy.
09:56The following contest is scheduled for one fall.
09:59Introducing first, from Draper, North Carolina, weighing it at 222 pounds, Andre Chase.
10:09You never really know with Borash.
10:11Yeah, I'm happy you're here, Kevin.
10:12Come on.
10:12Thank you.
10:13I appreciate that.
10:14Yeah, absolutely.
10:15What a thrill it is to have a veteran like Andre Chase competing here on LFG.
10:22Andre Chase makes his LFG debut against Braxton Cole, coming up next.
10:29Back on LFG and here comes the Ph.D. of WWE.
10:35And his opponent, from Gulfstown New Hampshire.
10:38Look at that 240 pounds.
10:40Braxton Cole.
10:49This is going to be real interesting because Andre Chase is a veteran of NXT.
10:52Andre Chase has been around for many years.
10:54And in this situation, Andre Chase is truly the teacher.
10:59This is a professor of wrestling and his student is Braxton, is the guy coming to the ring and looking
11:05for that opportunity to make it to NXT and go to that next level.
11:17Oh, Braxton, a former football player.
11:20And Kevin, you were in the Performance Center with many former professional football players and collegiate football players.
11:25What sort of hurdles is Braxton Cole going to face early on in his professional wrestling career?
11:31Well, I've never really spoken to him.
11:32I'm not really sure what kind of guy he is.
11:34I think the biggest hurdle that comes from not just football players, but athletes in general that come here with
11:39no experience in wrestling is kind of starting from the bottom again.
11:43You know, they might have put in a lot of time in their discipline in the past, but this is
11:47unlike anything else.
11:49So I think a lot of times smart guys shaking hands.
11:51Well, I think a lot of times just maybe the ego or just the, you know, having to put your
11:56ego aside to start from the bottom and be a wealth, you know, be willing to learn as much as
12:01you can.
12:01That can be difficult for them.
12:05Braxton Cole, six foot four, six foot five, 250 pounds in there with Andre Chase.
12:17He was going for the nip up and then he caught him. Okay.
12:22Let's talk about Andre Chase. Let's talk about the lesson he's teaching right now.
12:27If anything, he's teaching me that you can wrestle in a sweater, which I find is very impressive. I wrestled
12:32a t-shirt.
12:33Oh, he's got the sleeves on everything.
12:37That is very unique style.
12:38That's a cold caller too.
12:39And that's what Andre Chase is doing. He always wants to be professional. He always wants to represent his university.
12:44He always wants to represent his profession because as I said, everything to him is a teachable moment.
12:48He wants to stay in kind of a, the professor moon.
12:51Well, let's be honest, Chase, you made him a household name on NXT, brought him to the top of the
12:55mountain and looks to stay there now.
12:57But when you're in a situation like he is and looking to advance the next generation of talent here at
13:02the performance center, there's a lot of teachable moments that he wants to unleash.
13:06Oh, well, teachable moment, but again, a hand up to block the right, then able to block for a second.
13:12Didn't get all the top turnbuckle, but certainly got enough to hit that neck breaker. Braxton now into the cover,
13:18hooks the leg to put away Andre Chase.
13:26It's funny because Andre Chase, he's talking about teaching everyone, but he learned something from earlier when Braxton grabbed the
13:32rope.
13:32We saw it a little bit ago. He was trying to grab the rope again. Andre was pulling him away.
13:36Of course, he got punched in the face for it. So that didn't work out.
13:42Everybody can learn at any point. That's what's important, too, in wrestling. You never stop learning.
13:47So these guys, you know, everybody, all these up and comers, that's another thing.
13:51They have to be willing to have an open mind at all times, even if they've been doing this for
13:5510, 15, 20 years.
14:05Braxton Cole could have such an impressive matchup, and if he's able to knock off and gain a big victory
14:09over Andre Chase, he could find himself in the main event.
14:12It only takes one match to possibly get that NXT contract.
14:18Oh, he rolled out of the ring. Smart. And he rolled out to get him. Smart.
14:22Let's go, Braxton. Get him back inside. Good. Keep it inside the ring.
14:30Cover, cover, cover, cover, cover. And Chase able to kick out. And I want to go back to Andre Chase.
14:35Might have bought himself a little bit of time to get his wits about it.
14:37Yeah, very smart. Got hit with that DVT and had enough awareness to roll right out of the ring,
14:42which obviously forced Braxton to come out and get him. That definitely helped with that kick out there.
14:56You like the fact that he went out there and got Andre Chase back in the ring.
15:01I appreciate him going out and getting him and winning by pinfall would be the way to make that statement.
15:05Not exactly taking a count out there.
15:08Gotta wonder if there's any possible recruits, new students for next semester out amongst the WWE faithful here watching LFG.
15:25And Braxton, nobody home. Chase picking up steam. And there's a forearm.
15:29Fouling it up again. Not quite Tito Santana, but it is effective.
15:33It's close enough. It's locking him down, you know. Might not be as pretty.
15:36Neck breaker and a kick out. Andre Chase now knows he's been in the battles before on NXT.
15:43He's been under the bright lights of a premium live event.
15:46Ooh, he does not want to be a stepping stone for Braxton Cole, JB, here on LFG.
15:51Well, Andre Chase has been a part of some of the most memorable storylines and developments in NXT history.
15:58One storyline, one development I think he doesn't want is a loss here today on LFG.
16:04Oh, he's going to get the book. He's going to get the book, but he came to the book of
16:11knowledge. The book of knowledge.
16:19Ah, there we go.
16:20Oh, blow, blow.
16:21Referee did not see if Braxton Cole steals this.
16:26Here is your winner, Braxton Cole.
16:33Well, obviously Braxton Cole...
16:35Smart kid.
16:36Must have been doing some film study on Kevin Owens by hook, by crook.
16:43And in Braxton Cole's mind, guys, that has to be a teachable moment here on Legends and Future Great.
16:51Here is your winner, Braxton Cole.
16:56Here's a little thing, and I take responsibility for this because I should have helped you to know the finish
17:04a little better.
17:05You came out with the book, right?
17:07Yeah.
17:07And then you came in the ring, and then you put the book down immediately.
17:10That book is the finish.
17:12Yeah.
17:13Everybody in the arena needs to know about that book.
17:16So I want to see you come around the ring.
17:18I want to see you reading that book.
17:20And then the referee says, you have to put that book down.
17:23And you close the book, and the referee takes it away.
17:27Boom.
17:28The little things mean everything.
17:31I take responsibility for that.
17:33Because I don't expect Braxton to understand the art of Shakespeare, of pantomime, of over the top.
17:40It's almost like watching the movie that shows you the finish in the first scene, and then along the way,
17:47they show you how they got there.
17:50When you set the heat, that's the first time the babyface is in trouble.
17:54He's in peril right there.
17:56And if you immediately go for a cover, and he kicks out, it shows life, it shows hope.
18:01Like, I thought he was in trouble, but he kicked out, so he's in the fight.
18:04So, get some heat right there.
18:05Hopefully you set the heat up.
18:07You think before the pin?
18:07Before the pin.
18:08Yeah, yeah, yeah.
18:08That's what I want you to do for now on.
18:10I liked when you mocked the chase shoot.
18:15I think you need more of that.
18:16I think you've got to get comfortable doing that more often.
18:18Especially as a heel.
18:20Don't be afraid to make an ass out of yourself.
18:22Babyface to sell for what?
18:23Remember when we talked about this before?
18:24Sympathy.
18:25Sympathy.
18:25Heels sell to entertain.
18:28The biggest things were just making it a little bigger.
18:31Making it a little bigger, you know?
18:32A little meaner, trying to get some more heat.
18:34But I think I'm turning in the right direction, and I'm excited what the future holds.
18:38I can't thank you enough for doing this, man.
18:40I really can't.
18:41I hope you'd be cool to work with more people on LFG, and I hope you keep this relationship
18:45going, because I see you getting better.
18:47And getting in the ring with people that are better than you is how you get better.
18:50Sure.
18:50The best thing about Braxton is he listens.
18:53And I think if you want to get anywhere in this industry, you have to listen to the people
18:56that have paved the way for you, and the people that have more experience than you.
18:59So as long as he keeps doing that, I think he's got a shot here at LFG.
19:07In our second match of the day, Serena Linton and Callie Armstrong get ready to do battle
19:12for the very first time.
19:14Start up there.
19:15I'm on top.
19:16I'll kick her off into the buckle.
19:18I'll come to get her.
19:21I'm blown up just hearing it.
19:26Do you guys have a rest spot somewhere in the match, especially before the comeback?
19:29Is there like a hold?
19:30Is there a hold?
19:31Yeah.
19:32I think there needs to be.
19:33We're talking about the comeback.
19:35Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.
19:37I'll do this.
19:37I'll do that.
19:38I'll do this.
19:38I'll do that.
19:38The energy.
19:39In real time?
19:41In real time, you're going to be dead.
19:44In order to guarantee that you're going to be able to match her energy, you've got to
19:48have that rest spot.
19:48I think it's going to be amazing, though.
19:50Like, I love what I'm hearing.
19:52And go into the match with a little story.
19:55Callie said that you don't belong in WWE.
19:57You can't hang with her.
19:58You don't have her background.
20:00You don't belong in her locker room.
20:02I said that.
20:03Yeah.
20:03Yeah.
20:04And then I'm going to prove you wrong.
20:05And then Serena's like, this bitch.
20:08She's my language.
20:09I'm not saying you have to get dramatic, but just pull from something.
20:12As part of the audience, I want to get behind somebody that's been through something.
20:15She doesn't know where you've been.
20:16Yeah.
20:17If it feels emotional, it's going to come through in your performance.
20:20I don't want to see just moves.
20:21Okay.
20:21Like, I know you've got a lot of bitch in you.
20:23And I know you've got a lot of bitch in you.
20:25Yeah.
20:25I want to see that dog come out tonight.
20:28Okay.
20:28Good luck, guys.
20:29Thank you.
20:30Natty really wanted me to have this F you attitude as a babyface.
20:35And so it was really important for me to be that fiery, spicy, high energy self that I am and
20:42show that in the ring.
20:44Stay in the corner.
20:46I would say that Callie and I compliment each other in the ring.
20:48When we were putting the match together, I was getting really excited because I think we can put on a
20:52banger.
20:58My opponent this week is the spicy Serena Linton.
21:02I always enjoy working with people that are newer than me just because it allowed me to become the leader
21:08that I know I am.
21:16The following contest is scheduled for one fall.
21:19Introducing first from Englewood, California, Callie Armstrong.
21:27Callie Armstrong ready to square off with Serena Linton right after this.
21:32Action continuing on Legends and Future Greats.
21:46And her opponent from Phoenix, Arizona, Serena Linton.
21:53And this is someone who Natalya has been talking to, who Natalya has been trying to coach up.
21:58And if you can't learn from someone, Kevin, like Natalya in the women's division, it's kind of hard to continue
22:04to continue your own career because Natalya knows more about this industry than any of the two in the ring,
22:11including myself, will ever know combined.
22:12Yeah, absolutely. If you're going to have a mentor or somebody guiding you in this industry, Natalya is as good
22:19as anybody to listen to.
22:45As this matchup continues starting out here, Callie Armstrong obviously will have the power advantage over Serena Linton.
22:50Ale nie widzieliśmy wiele z Serena Lintoni ostatni roku na LFG.
22:54W SZEZON 2,
22:56w końcu w końcu,
22:58i powiedzieliśmy,
22:59że to gotowałeś.
23:05Nie chcesz być w porządku,

23:27Jakie
23:27Kale
23:30Look at all the ideas from Kale Armstrong
23:33Going up going down going around
23:34On Serena Linton
23:36Armstrong
23:39One thing we've seen from Serena Linton
23:41Is utilizing that high flying ability
23:43That she has that agility we've seen the Molly
23:45Go around she won several episodes of the first
23:47Season with that
23:48Gimnastyczny
24:22Oh, man, Callie Armstrong, just pure strength, pure power, pure ferociousness.
24:27You saw just that sudden impact from Callie Armstrong, a USC standout in track and field,
24:33and she just went around, and what a boot to the side of the face.
24:39I don't think she caught all of it, which is probably a good thing for Serena,
24:42because that could have ended up very badly.
24:44On a kickout, just a two count, Serena Linton realizing it,
24:47and right now these two are a dangerous part of this matchup,
24:50because one mistake, we could have a victor,
24:52and you know Shawn Michaels has been keeping his eye on someone like Callie Armstrong.
24:59I like Callie as a heel. I like her as a f***ing heel. She's dominant.
25:03You know, Kalani Jordan having a similar background as Serena does,
25:06and same thing for Callie Armstrong, being compared to Bianca Belair and stuff like that,
25:11similar backgrounds as well.
25:12It's really helpful that these women have people that have a similar experience
25:17even beyond wrestling, so that they can, you know, go to for advice on how to adapt,
25:22let's say, the gymnastics background into, incorporate that into the ring,
25:26and how to make that, you know, something that works for them as well.
25:32Inside cradle, this time by Serena, and almost able to put down Callie.
25:36What a matchup this has been, JB.
25:38Well, it's been interesting to see Serena's growth over the course of the three seasons here of LFG,
25:42but Callie Armstrong has come in this season and really made an impact.
25:46You saw her in the very first episode, and she really brought a lot of attention to herself.
26:07Looking for a bulldog out of the corner.
26:12Serena right now is rolling, drop kicking.
26:16Look, Callie Armstrong's down.
26:17Callie's hurt, Serena crawling into the cover, hooked up the leg,
26:20and that left shoulder, JB, just getting off the mat.
26:24The level of competition and the level of excitement that we've seen,
26:29it's only been amplified by the fact that everybody was watching that first episode
26:32and saw what happened to Kendall Gray.
26:34Saw the trajectory that her life, her career was put on in an instant,
26:39coming off a great match in our first main event of the first show.
26:44Wait a minute, rolling through, ridden this, you have it.
26:46She couldn't get all her weight behind that.
26:57There we go, this could be...
27:01She went for Molly go around.
27:02That took a little bit too much time.
27:04Callie had it scouted, saw what was happening.
27:06Serena ducks the clothesline, got caught, and gets planted.
27:14And now Callie setting up to pound Serena.
27:19Try to knock her back in the season two big win for Armstrong.
27:25Here is your winner, Callie Armstrong.
27:30That didn't come easy for Callie.
27:32She'd have to work for that one.
27:33As she says, too strong, Armstrong.
27:39Well, what a night it has been here on LFG.
27:41We're getting ready for our main event.
27:43Kevin, I want to thank you for joining us as we get ready for what's going to be a massive
27:46showdown.
27:48I'm not good enough to do the main event.
27:50It was his decision.
27:52See, what did you do?
27:53Kevin, what are you doing?
27:54Kevin, you're back here.
27:55I'm keeping my notes.
27:55All right.
27:57Main event's coming up next.
28:03I thought you both did great.
28:05This was your best performance.
28:06That f***ing schmonkey flip, you took that beautifully.
28:12I feel happy that I lit a bit of a fire under your ass.
28:15Because I wanted to get under your skin that you couldn't get comfortable.
28:17Just in case people are watching you find you calm, they're going to go, wow, that showed us something tonight.
28:22And I thought you were very vocal.
28:29You made more noise, you were more vicious.
28:31I like you as a f***ing heel.
28:33Okay.
28:33I f***ing love you as a heel.
28:35It felt good hearing her say that she really liked to see me as a heel because I feel like
28:39heel is more of my natural self just because I am strong, I'm aggressive.
28:45You're a beast.
28:47Thank you.
28:48When you do that spear in the corner, it looks so good.
28:52Stay on that midsection right there.
28:54Like, I think you're going to make it harder for yourself to tell the story if you do that and
28:59then you start working the arm.
29:00And then you start working the neck.
29:02The simplest story that we can tell the fans is going to allow the best connection.
29:07So, hey, how about that f***ing first monkey flip there?
29:10Dude, you flew.
29:11You flew, dude.
29:13I was like, that was one that if it was on TV, I'm calling.
29:16Replay.
29:16Replay that now in slow motion.
29:18It was really good.
29:19Why are you emotional right now?
29:21Talk to me.
29:23From critique?
29:25No.
29:26Okay, all right, good.
29:27Why?
29:29I think, um...
29:31Sorry, I'm just not going to make me emotional.
29:34Very good.
29:34I think I just care so much.
29:37And I've been in my head because I just want to be, like, I want to be the best.
29:43We talk about, you and I talk about this a lot.
29:45Like, don't let the voices get loud in your head.
29:47Come talk to me if they are.
29:48This is a crazy business, all right?
29:50And when you finally get to where, like, hopefully a WrestleMania moment, you're still going to learn s*** after that
29:55match.
29:55And be like, God, I wish I did this.
29:57All right, so trust the timing of your life.
30:00Because if you don't, when it's all said and done, you're going to be like, f***, that was a whirlwind
30:03and I didn't appreciate any of it.
30:05This business is not an easy business, mentally, physically.
30:09It's very demanding.
30:10And I know I can handle it.
30:12I just need to find a way to know that I'm doing all the right things.
30:15And some things, it's just God's timing.
30:23With two matches down, we look to our main event.
30:26And a much-anticipated return to the ring.
30:30Elijah Holyfield, this guy's come back from an injury.
30:33The last thing you want to do is put him on the shelf again.
30:35Because if you've seen his injury prone, it could cost you your career.
30:39Elijah Holyfield has come a long way in a short time.
30:42But I really feel like you're still going to be the general in this ring, all right?
30:47Well, it's his big return tonight.
30:49Exactly.
30:50And as much as, you know, he comes from a great boxing family, it's like, I've been wrestling for years.
30:56Look, at the end of the day, I don't care who your dad is.
30:59I don't care what sport you've done before.
31:02When it comes to wrestling, I want to be the most exciting thing in the ring.
31:06It's easy to get yourself over.
31:08But when you get this other guy over, like nobody else has, when you walk back through
31:13that curtain, everybody's going to be looking at you and say, this kid might have the goods.
31:17I like this kid, Nathan.
31:19You know, maybe because he's a student of a game.
31:22You know, you can tell when these kids want to be coached, when they want to be taught.
31:28Boom.
31:29Boom.
31:30What's going on, dog?
31:31Yeah, how we doing?
31:32Oh, question is, how you doing?
31:34Back and better, man.
31:35Yeah.
31:35Back and better.
31:36I hope you've been steady while you was awake.
31:38Yes, sir.
31:39All right.
31:39Time off is your worst enemy in this business.
31:43Yes, sir.
31:43What I need to see from you is patience, all right?
31:47I don't need you to rush, and that's the one thing we always talk about with young guys.
31:51Don't rush, don't rush, don't rush.
31:52Look, don't rush.
31:54Are we ready?
31:55You know I'm ready.
31:56Let's get it done.
31:57Boom.
32:08There you go, right there.
32:10Body language.
32:13There you go.
32:17Freeze that one second.
32:18Right here, Elijah.
32:20You're so focused right now on the match.
32:22If you're just thinking about him, you're going to lose to fans, all right?
32:27You want them to feel a certain way when you walk out, and I think that's what I'm going
32:30to grab and hang on to the most.
32:35It's main event time as Nathan Cranton and Elijah Holyfield prepare to step out in front
32:40of the live audience.
32:44And let's get it done, huh?
32:45Let's get it done.
32:46Let's get it done.
32:46Let's get it done.
32:46Go!
32:49Here we go.
32:50You got your legends and your future greats.
32:51Welcome in to Legends and Future Greats.
32:55Here at Ringside, I'm Vic Joseph.
32:57Alongside the one and only Jeremy Borash.
32:59And JB, you look as fresh as the daisy.
33:02Oh, thanks, Vic.
33:02I'll tell you what.
33:03What an episode it's been, and what a main event.
33:05We are about to have eight months in the making for the return of Elijah Holyfield,
33:12and we are waiting with great anticipation to see what this is going to be like for the
33:16return of this incredible athlete.
33:17A very tough opponent awaits him.
33:20There's been a lot of hype surrounding both these athletes, and it will come to a head,
33:27as you said, here in just a matter of moments.
33:29Well, a man who was destined to spoil the return, making his way to the ring now.
33:40The following contest is scheduled for one fall.
33:45Introducing first, from Torset England weighing in at 230 pounds, Nathaniel Cranston.
33:52Stay there.
33:53Open your feet.
33:54That's what you should all be there.
33:56Open your feet.
33:57There you go.
33:57You're looking on your feet, all you stinking peasants.
34:04Elijah Holyfield goes one-on-one with Nathan Cranston.
34:09It's our main event, and it's coming up next.
34:14This is a battle for power.
34:15I'm a man of the hour.
34:17It's here to eat of the power.
34:19Be a hero of the power.
34:20You got it.
34:21There's a point.
34:22From Atlanta, Jordan.
34:23We're in at 234 pounds.
34:25Elijah Pooley Pee.
34:32It has been eight long months.
34:40This man tore his bicep off the bone.
34:45has battled back, has rehabbed, has not missed a day in the gym to get back to 100%, not just
34:53for himself, but for all those that have believed in him.
34:57And if you can hear those around us, there's a lot of believers in Holyfield.
35:15The fact that he has now returned eight months later, the fact that he's returned with a new vision, a
35:20new focus, a new attitude, and wants to show that more than anything else in this opportunity.
35:25The man that stands across from him, chooses to maybe, ah, right on the parade of this return.
35:33Whoa!
35:42You have to believe that Holyfield is extra motivated right now in this moment.
35:48So much, you know, when you talk about the injuries, it does so much to you physically, but let's not
35:53forget the mental aspect of being injured.
35:55Let's not forget being taken out at your prime.
35:58Eight months in.
35:59Oh!
36:00He now comes back to the ring with so much focus and has had time to think and take this
36:04in.
36:04And this moment that he's living right now has been the front of his brain since that very moment that
36:10he was injured.
36:10What a return.
36:14And look, we want to take a little bit deeper when it comes to Elijah Holyfield.
36:18It's got to be tough to have that last name of who his father is, to have to live every
36:22day in the shadow of a Hall of Fame boxer, a former world champion, to try to step out on
36:28your own, and then to get sidelined the way he did.
36:31I mean, it's got to be gut-wrenching, and it's got to be heartbreaking as well.
36:35Heartbreaking, gut-wrenching, all the adjectives that go with being just taken out.
36:40Whoa!
36:41Wow.
36:44A lesson for Elijah is the recovery of the comeback and what that's done for him mentally and the perspective
36:51you get when you're taken out at the top of your game.
36:54You know, a lot of people said he was destined to win season two of LNG.
36:58And when that is just taken out, that opportunity ripped away from you, you know, it's just as much of
37:04a physical recovery and mental recovery in the same way.
37:06Ranger! Ranger! Ranger!
37:09Yeah, go!
37:14This is someone who time and time again, the coaches, the trainers, those in the Performance Center, they say, oh,
37:19that's a no-brainer.
37:20And to have that setback, he is going to be fueled by redemption right now.
37:25But for Cranton, he is fueled in his own right, looking to destroy and take out Holyfield.
37:31Big backbreaker out of the corner.
37:32Hook of the leg!
37:33And a near-fall.
37:34Look, when it comes to Cranton, he is as smug as they come.
37:38Well, I'll tell you what, it's been very interesting on this episode to see the advice given to both these
37:43men by Booker T.
37:44from a personality standpoint and how Booker sees himself in both of them.
37:48Booker, obviously, throughout his career, a cocky, arrogant guy.
37:52Oh, Booker T. Cocky?
37:54A little bit.
37:54A lot of occasion.
37:56I know, maybe not now.
37:57Next to you in the booth, Vic.
37:59Holy Spirit!
38:00Holy Spirit!
38:04Holy Spirit!
38:05Holy Spirit!
38:07Holy Spirit!
38:08Holy Spirit!
38:08Holy Spirit!
38:09Holy Spirit!
38:12Side belly.
38:13Look at, take a look at Cranton.
38:15Cranton got hoisted, dropped, but didn't relinquish the hold.
38:18I know we're having fun out here.
38:19We're taking a look at two possible future legends, future greats, if you will.
38:24Cranton really, right now, I think is opening some eyes.
38:27And to Booker's point, Booker T's got to be smiling right now seeing this matchup unfold.
38:32Because when it comes to Cranton, this is a blue blood that maybe isn't quite as regal as he thinks.
38:37But he is certainly in control of this match.
38:38Well, and of course, given the, we saw Eliza's first match here on LFG.
38:43But also, let's not forget, Cranton's got the advantage from a perspective of experience.
38:48Well, you know, time in the ring.
38:49A little bit, not by much.
38:51But he looks as comfortable as ever.
38:53Wow!
38:54And look at Holyfield right now, starting to fire back.
38:57Left his feet, now really staying calm.
39:00Cooler Collector with a spine buster.
39:07Look out, this is an uppercut.
39:09If he can hit that uppercut, run to the family.
39:12Certainly did, went from behind, and Cranton coming in.
39:15Underneath it, burn!
39:16Got him!
39:18Knees buckled.
39:19Good night, Cranton.
39:30I don't want to get too far ahead of myself, JB, but I think tonight we learned a lot about
39:36this man.
39:37We learned a lot about Elijah Holyfield, what he's about, and what he can bring to this squared circle here
39:44in the WWE.
39:45Wow, great return, look at this great spine buster from Elijah Holyfield, and obviously that uppercut, Nathan Grant went from
39:54raising sheep to counting sheep.
39:56Woo, knocked out!
39:57Tell you what, you had called out the punching power of Holyfield.
40:02That was right on the butt.
40:05Listen to this place.
40:08Locked out, hotel, locked out, hotel, last one, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
40:15Locked out, lock out, lock out, lock out, lock out.
40:20Oh, it was all right?
40:23How you feel?
40:24Good, good, good.
40:25I know it was all right.
40:26No, man.
40:27That's probably the best you can look, man, since you've been here.
40:30Amazing.
40:30Booker was very excited about it and loved it.
40:33I don't think he was sugar-coated if we did bad, so I was happy about that.
40:37Yeah, damn it, man.
40:39F***ing A, man.
40:40Gave me a lot of confidence moving forward.
40:43Really happy about it, and I want to build off of it.
40:45Can't f***ing praise you guys enough.
40:46Thank you.
40:47Really good s***.
40:48Y'all made me look good.
40:49Thank you.
40:49All right.
40:50Good, man.
40:52Yeah, you could have.
40:53It's good.
40:55So we're going to...
40:56We're going to make that right hand.
40:59Everybody's got to be petrified of it.
41:00Yes, sir.
41:01We also just even...
41:02Yes, sir.
41:04So we can't toss you around like everybody else.
41:07Yes, sir.
41:07Things we need to start thinking about as we go forward on this.
41:11Yes, sir.
41:11You know what I mean?
41:12Yes, sir.
41:12That makes sense?
41:13Yes, sir.
41:13All right.
41:14Thank you, guys.
41:14Thank you.
41:14Good stuff.
41:15Thank you, Ryan.
41:16It's always amazing to get feedback from the Heartbreak Kid.
41:19Main thing for me was that I should have sold his size more because the man is built like
41:24a brick s*** house.
41:26And just because you can see Blackson Moran, not that I shouldn't have done it, but I should
41:29have made a bigger job of it.
41:31You get caught up in so much of doing more and more, but it's just the details of what
41:35you're doing.
41:35You may do a little and make it good, man.
41:37It goes a long way.
41:41It's just the beginning of what I think is going to be a great year and a great season,
41:44man.
41:45Moving forward, I just do everything.
41:47I take everything a day at a time.
41:48I control what I can control.
41:50If I'm lucky enough to get that contract, I'll be ready.
41:54I take everything a day at a time.
