00:00Then.
00:07Now.
00:16Forever.
00:23Together.
00:46Now that I'm not technically a track and field runner anymore, I still go outside. I still get a run
00:51in because it just gets my blood pumping in. It feels like home to me.
00:55I still currently have the world record, and it's an event called the Sprint Medley Resort.
00:59And it feels like it's the first leg that I did in the pin relays. It goes 100, 100, 200,
01:05400. I usually have a great start. I have a good reaction time. So I was the first leg. Then
01:11I'll speed it up and open it up and see what I could do.
01:13But Callie comes from a sprinting background. She uses that in the ring. Take a look at the speed and
01:20feel the impact.
01:21I have the speed. I'm a world record holder. So I'm super fast. I want to find a way to
01:25bring that into wrestling and show that off.
01:28I feel like all the things that we learn from playing sports is what allows us to come to WWE
01:33and be professional and successful.
01:35There's a lot of pressure being here in the WWE because there's so much talent. But the fact that they're
01:40putting pressure on me, that means that the ceiling is through the roof. So I look at pressure as a
01:45privilege.
01:57We're out here to be decent. We're here to be great. Your effort out there is the best I've seen.
02:03If I was Shawn Michaels, you guys would be on the next team tomorrow. It has to happen now.
02:07We don't have to wait to see who gets called up. They can go at any time. The future is
02:12indeed now here on LFG.
02:23A new combination. Bubba, KO, Johnny. Good to see you. First time ever. I have a good feeling about this.
02:28This is a good combination right here.
02:30Three matches today, Johnny. You guys start us off. We have Callie Armstrong versus Chantel Monroe.
02:37Listen, Callie Armstrong, I think she is a generational talent.
02:40Oh, wow. That's big. That's high praise. That's high praise.
02:42She's really good at what she does.
02:44Callie Armstrong does pure strength, pure power, pure ferociousness.
02:48She's a sponge and she likes to learn and she likes to work hard.
02:52Chantel Monroe, this is a girl who is fighting and clawing and scratching to be noticed and remain noticed.
02:57I think she put a few matches together. Hopefully she gets over that hump and starts to get noticed by
03:03HBK.
03:03Cool. I'm excited about this. I've actually heard about both these women and I've heard incredible things about them.
03:10They're both most comfortable being heels.
03:12Okay.
03:14What do you think? Do you think we just keep them that way?
03:15I don't know. Do you want them both to be heel?
03:16Let's see what it looks like. Let's see what it looks like.
03:17You want heel heel? Let's see what it looks like.
03:19We can do heel heel, sure.
03:20K.O. Yeah.
03:21Romeo Moreno, you know him?
03:23No.
03:24Probably not. No.
03:25Jaime Garcia's new name.
03:26Ah, I knew it was the swear.
03:28You do Romeo.
03:31Romeo Moreno versus Trill London. Romeo, he's quirky. He does just a little bit too much.
03:39Yeah, he does the rolls and the motions that are kind of, it's distracting a little bit.
03:45It's a great word.
03:46Yeah.
03:46Distracting.
03:47Okay.
03:48Trill is back off of medical, just cleared. Hopefully he can stay that way.
03:53My challenge to Trill is don't get bored with the basics. He can fly.
03:59But I want to see him, you know, give me some basic movements and do them well.
04:03So that's the messaging. Let's continue there. I hope we can get through them, Gale.
04:07Okay.
04:08And taking us home main event tag match, we have Elijah Holyfield, Apollo Crews,
04:14taking on a new team of Cam Hendricks and Harley Riggins.
04:19Both these gentlemen think very highly of themselves. It's the friendship we never knew we needed.
04:25Harley was a tag team guy, probably got injured. See him and Cam hanging out a lot.
04:30To me, they get a little gimmicky at times. Want to see what they can do together.
04:34Oh, cheap shot right around the corner.
04:37Elijah and Apollo. Listen, Elijah, just keep getting reps, man.
04:41To me, when I watch him work, I think some timing, some spacing issues are in there.
04:47If you don't mind coming off of his last match against Chris Island.
04:53Yes.
04:54I'd like to work with Elijah on something very, very specific that you guys will need him to do in
05:01the future.
05:01And that is sell with his head up.
05:04Heck yeah.
05:05Elijah's last performance with Chris Island was bad.
05:09Sell it, Elijah. Get your face up.
05:13I tore into Elijah a little bit.
05:16Who can see your face if you're looking down there?
05:21Something that small? Look my head up. Gotcha. Gotcha.
05:24Don't get mad and walk away.
05:26He didn't like the message he was hearing.
05:28He didn't like the fact that I chewed him out in front of everybody.
05:31And I'd like to see something really strong from Elijah selling wise.
05:36Do I have your blessing on that?
05:37Let's do it. I love it. Let's get to work.
05:47Today, my opponent is Callie Armstrong.
05:49Me and Callie came in together. We've trained together for like two and a half years.
05:53So we're very familiar with each other and how we work.
05:57We'll probably go back and work a little bit and then I'll just go off.
05:59Boom, boom, boom.
06:01Working a heel versus heel match is pretty challenging because it doesn't follow the normal structure of what a match
06:07should be.
06:08So Jazz was able to step in there and help us out what we needed.
06:18Working with Jazz is awesome. You know, she's a legend. I get Jazz comparisons all the time. So I was
06:24super excited to be able to work with her.
06:26Hey, how are you? Good to see you.
06:28Hey, how are you? Good to see you.
06:29Hey guys, how are you? Good to see you.
06:31Hey, how are you guys?
06:32They told me heel heel, which is a very interesting dynamic.
06:36Yeah.
06:36I'm curious to see how the crowd out there kind of going to work with it.
06:39When you look at a prototypical professional wrestling match, you have a good guy, a babyface, and you have a
06:46bad guy, the heel.
06:47This particular match, there are two bad guys, two heels.
06:51It is a tall order crowd reaction wise, but you kind of just go out there, present these two characters
06:59and let the crowd choose who they want to cheer for.
07:03Do you feel like there's too much strike exchange in there?
07:07As a babyface, you would always like, I'm going to throw a forearm.
07:10You don't have to come back where I'm like throwing punches.
07:12Right.
07:13But I think if you do different sort of strikes and different sort of exchanges, I think it's more like
07:17it.
07:17It won't look like the same, yeah.
07:19I like that.
07:19It'll be more you and then that kind of eliminates more of the kind of back and forth yourself.
07:23Yeah.
07:23I'm always of the mindset of just like, you got cool stuff, like give it to them, right?
07:29Especially in this level and this stage of your career, like any moment you get a chance in this ring
07:36and there's going to be eyes on you, show them your stuff.
07:39Like show them why they invest in you.
07:41And like obviously talking to the coaches, they believe in you guys a lot.
07:44So show them why they do, right?
07:47Chantelle, she's a dog.
07:49Like she's small, but she's mighty.
07:51I know she's going to put on a banger because I put on banger.
07:54So we both got to bang together.
07:58Have fun out there.
07:59Go kill it.
08:00Okay.
08:00Looking forward to watching it.
08:04It's a new week and new opportunities here on LFG.
08:11The following contest is scheduled for one fall.
08:14Introducing first from Sarasota, Florida, Chantelle Monroe.
08:27Chantelle Monroe will be taking on Callie Armstrong next.
08:34Stay on the A&E app.
08:39Welcome back to LFG.
08:41There you see the former track and field star, Callie Armstrong, making her way to the rink.
08:45This, my friends, Callie Armstrong is a next level athlete.
08:51What she has been able to do in a very short time here at the Performance Center has put herself
08:56in a pop spot.
08:58I say if you're going to invest in somebody here at the BC, Callie Armstrong is a safe bet.
09:05You got to wonder if that's the same mindset that Shawn Michaels has.
09:09He's got his eyes on both these women along with all these competitors here on LFG.
09:14Huge main event to come tonight.
09:18But we're kicking things off with what should be a highly competitive women's matchup.
09:24We have two incredible athletes here on LFG.
09:27What a pleasure it is to be ringside, best seat in the house.
09:31We'll see these two future greats go at it.
09:34And JB, you know, we talked so many times about how many great athletes come into the Performance Center.
09:40You know, but what truly at the end of the day separates them?
09:44You know what, sometimes it's that intangible, that intangible talent, that intangible gift.
09:50That athletes, they say all the top athletes have it.
09:54It's just a matter of finding it.
09:55Sometimes it's something that's developed over time and Callie Armstrong has shown she's got that kind of potential.
10:01Rolling through in a near fall.
10:06Wow, what strength.
10:08The word that is thrown around a lot at the Performance Center is the word potential, your sign-on potential.
10:14You're going into these classes to get out all of your potential to try to rise to the occasion.
10:20And that's what makes this show so special on LFG is you're starting to see the foundation, the building blocks
10:25for these athletes to see if they can fulfill their potential.
10:28Ooh, that was nice. She took that, yeah.
10:34I can't tell you over the course of time how many athletes I've seen go from coming through these doors
10:41to the Performance Center to making it to the main roster, to making it on Raw and SmackDown, even making
10:46it to WrestleMania.
10:47I'll use Bianca Belair as an example, seeing her first day here and seeing her career go all the way
10:52to WrestleMania in the main event.
10:54What we've seen from athletes over the course of time here as a Performance Center is that first chapter in
11:00their book.
11:06And if you're Callie Armstrong right now, I would assume that some would see her as the favorite in this
11:11matchup.
11:12And does that add any more pressure at this juncture of someone's career in LFG, one slip to change the
11:17future?
11:18Well, it certainly does, but at the same time, Callie Armstrong has a lot of hot expectations.
11:21Callie Armstrong has made a name for herself here at the Performance Center and set the bar very high for
11:26herself.
11:27And that's in some ways good, and that's sometimes you get, you can be, you know, overestimated at times.
11:33And one thing that we've seen from Callie is just a dedication in the gym, because she's putting the hours
11:39in.
11:39That's the key. Gotta put the time in.
11:44And turning things right around back into the matchup and trying to rip that left arm out of its socket.
11:53Almost seems to be a little bit peeved at this point in the matchup and how it started.
11:57Just caught a back elbow though right underneath the jaw.
12:00And now another kick to the stomach. Take a look at this combination of offense.
12:03What a knee lift.
12:05And charging right back in with a Meteora into a pin.
12:08Will it be enough?
12:09And Armstrong able to kick out.
12:18It's always amazing to me that we come in every single week here on LFG.
12:22We hear what's going on in the Performance Center.
12:24We see snippets and tidbits of some training here and there.
12:28But the growth from the beginning of this season until we are right now.
12:32Ah, it's great. It's great to see that.
12:34Of course, that's what you want when you're coaching the future stars of tomorrow.
12:38The future greats here on LFG is to see that progression.
12:42And obviously what we've seen is, you know, Johnny Gargano getting in there and really taking his role as a
12:48mentor.
12:50Seriously giving that advice and seeing it implemented right before his very own eyes.
12:57Yeah.
12:57Chantelle right now.
12:58Is she a little worse for wear?
13:00Cleaning face first.
13:01And she does again have that protective gear to protect that busted up face.
13:05Yeah, certainly when you've got to bust it up, it's like that.
13:07Mentally it does something to you in the ring.
13:09Showing it or not, you're always in the back of your mind thinking you've got to protect that injured pot.
13:13Armstrong right now, she's able to string together a little offense here right now.
13:18Trying to maybe put this one away and just got caught.
13:22And Armstrong might need a mask after that.
13:24And whoa, how quick of Armstrong to bounce right back into this match.
13:28We're pulling the hair.
13:34That's a unique counter.
13:35And that is certainly starting to put a lot of thought into what you're doing next.
13:41And bam, a shining wizard.
13:43Chantelle Monroe can do it.
13:45Armstrong.
13:45Wow.
13:47Just able to roll away.
13:49I think if Chantelle Monroe would have had Callie Armstrong in the center of the ring, this match might be
13:55over.
13:56Armstrong! Armstrong! Armstrong! Armstrong! Armstrong! Armstrong! Armstrong!
13:59Nice job by the official right now trying to check it out.
14:03I don't necessarily know if that was a thumb to the eye.
14:05It sure was.
14:06And Armstrong just hit that spear.
14:08Wow.
14:11A little smoke and mirrors right there.
14:13That was almost not a Gargano move, but maybe a Bully Ray move of sorts.
14:17And now picking up some speed.
14:19Oh, what a bump.
14:21And turning her opposition inside out.
14:24Callie Armstrong, victorious.
14:27Great bump.
14:27Now, here is your winner, Callie Armstrong!
14:34What did Coach Johnny Gargano think of that match?
14:37We'll find out after the break.
14:43You okay?
14:44Yeah.
14:45Your stuff is really, really good.
14:48Y'all confused?
14:49Yeah.
14:49That's right.
14:50It's okay.
14:51I knew, like, all the strikes.
14:52I was like, wow.
14:53I just feel like a video.
14:54I think the match went great.
14:56Obviously, you're always going to look back and wish you did this better or that better.
15:00But honestly, like, it was great.
15:02Your explosiveness and both of your intent, like, your effort out there,
15:06was the best I've seen.
15:08All of your strikes, even the stuff on the outside, the way you were taking stuff,
15:11like, the way you lean into strikes, incredible.
15:15I wish it was more baby heel, because I think, like, the place would have been freaking rocking
15:20with what you would have been able to do.
15:21I feel like they wanted to really cheer for you, even when you're doing this.
15:22They wanted to cheer for you.
15:24Yeah.
15:25Yeah.
15:25Yeah.
15:26Which they predicted.
15:27Like, Bloom predicted, like, you would be the more baby-faced one.
15:29Yeah.
15:30I am new to this business still, so when I hear things like that, I'm like, dang,
15:34so that must mean I'm on the right track.
15:37It's fine.
15:37Two of studs, dude.
15:38Two of studs.
15:39You took that finish.
15:40Awesome.
15:41Thank you.
15:41Dude, it looked really good.
15:42Dude, I love seeing you two work.
15:43I do, because you guys bring out the best in each other.
15:45Hopefully.
15:46I like the roll-through spear.
15:47It did look good.
15:48It did look good.
15:49Yeah.
15:49Did you feel it?
15:50Yeah.
15:52Yeah?
15:53I liked it, dude.
15:54I saw a side of you today that, like, didn't back down to that beast.
15:57The future is looking bright for Chantel.
16:00I mean, I'm hungry, I'm ready, and I feel like I have everything it takes to be a WWE
16:04superstar.
16:05Congrats.
16:06Congrats, dude.
16:08Thanks, Coach.
16:08Appreciate you.
16:19I've been using my real name, Jamie Garcia, for eight years now.
16:23I will for all my life.
16:26It's such a process we go through to getting our name, that when we actually finally get
16:31our name, it feels like a big moment.
16:33I love Romeo.
16:35I love the name.
16:36I think it's a very poetic name.
16:38I'm super excited about that.
16:41Romeo, he's electric.
16:43I feel like when I see myself and when I see him, we're the same.
16:46So going out there to compete with him, it's going to be a good one.
16:49Pose.
16:50Come on, baby.
16:52I've been dealing with a little bit of injury.
16:54It sucks.
16:55You know, it's like a dark cloud.
16:56And when I got the opportunity to get back in the ring today, all those clouds went away.
17:01You know, the sun was shining, and you know, I'm happy to be back.
17:05What's up, guys?
17:06How's it going?
17:07How are you, man?
17:07What's up, dude?
17:08How's it going?
17:09They're both talented, athletic, everything, but they just don't get the most out of what
17:14they do because it's hard to tune in when the things in between their impressive stuff seems like an unimportant
17:24detail to them.
17:25If you guys are just outdoing each other and you're both even, it's hard to get invested when nothing looks
17:32difficult.
17:32Like, you don't want people to think wrestling is easy.
17:35It's not easy.
17:36Make everything you guys look like a struggle because then it just means more to the audience once it gets
17:41hit.
17:41Value comes in effort, and I feel like that applies to everything in life.
17:45So that's what we tell through wrestling.
17:47Wrestling is life.
17:48Life is wrestling.
17:49The other thing I will say is, especially for you, I think there's a lot of movement, and I've seen
17:54you work, right?
17:55So I would encourage you to pull it back.
17:57It came down from Coach Bloom that it can get a bit distracting.
18:00Yes, sir.
18:00So it's easier for you to pull it back.
18:02And then, you know, maybe once you get to NXT or Raw or SmackDown or whatever, Triple H might tell
18:07you,
18:07hey, remember all the, like, distracting movements you were doing?
18:10Yeah.
18:10Just do it all.
18:11Then you do it all.
18:12Yes, sir.
18:13All right, boys.
18:13Thank you.
18:14It leaves me safe more than anything.
18:15Make sure you're safe.
18:16All right.
18:23The pace is about to quicken.
18:25About legends and future greats.
18:27The following contest is scheduled for one fall.
18:31Introducing first, from Madrid Spain, weighing at 205 pounds, Romeo Moreno.
18:40Romeo Moreno in action.
18:42Up next.
18:45And his opponent, Romney Ockers, New York, weighing at 211 pounds, Shrill Lundy.
19:06This is someone in Trill who we talk about leaving the NFL, but he doesn't ask for his own locker
19:12room.
19:12He comes in here.
19:13He sits with everybody else.
19:14He doesn't have an attitude.
19:15He's not that it's a woe is me or I'm bigger than you or I've done this.
19:19He does.
19:19He's not braggadocious.
19:20He shows up.
19:21He goes to work.
19:22He's in here for extra sessions.
19:23He's talking to coach.
19:24He's going to film study.
19:25I think that says a lot about the man who he is.
19:28Of course, you're talking about a world class athlete.
19:30You're talking about a guy who's got the dedication and knows what it takes to get to the top.
19:33He's done it before in another sport.
19:35If you can do that, you know what it takes and that kind of thing when we see Olympic
19:38athletes, when we see NFL players, people coming from different professional sports.
19:42athletes, the level of discipline it takes to get there in the first place really sets the
19:46table for being able to be successful doing this.
19:54What a way to kick things off.
19:56And this one might be one of the more highly entertaining additions of LFG that we've had
20:01from how we start the night off to what we're going to have in the main event.
20:04And obviously these two individuals who really are going to put their foot on the gas in this
20:09matchup.
20:19Oh, it was like Joe came right over the middle and got caught by a fullback trying to take
20:23down a running back from his defensive back position.
20:26I don't know if you caught all that with the football analogies, but whatever it was,
20:28it was high impact offense from Romeo.
20:31We've seen that from Romeo before and the quickness that he's displaying and the agility
20:36that Trill London is displaying.
20:40What's with these arms doing?
20:43I think he's going this on there.
20:45There's like no whip to it.
20:52Trill right now is getting ready to fly, but so is Romeo.
20:56Drop kick missile style.
20:59Wow.
21:03And he is down.
21:04Could he be out into the cover and a near fall?
21:06What timing in terms of quickness for Romeo to from the floor, get up to the ring apron,
21:13hop up to the top rope and deliver a drop kick all within two to three seconds.
21:17This is something we haven't seen from Romeo too much in a matchup that we've seen him in.
21:22It is trying to wear an opponent down with submission.
21:24Typically, we've seen him flying around, but now he's focused on a body part.
21:28He's showing a different side of himself here this week.
21:32Is Romeo a heel?
21:34No, I think they're both baby faces.
21:36Oh, it's those baby babies?
21:36Yeah.
21:42A couple of right hands from London able to create a little bit of separation on going
21:45to the body.
21:46You can almost hear those rights and those lefts as London into the turn book.
21:51We've got that right elbow up under the jaw.
21:53Now coming right back to the body, trying to break down Romeo.
21:56Romeo able to catch it.
21:57Oh, drop.
21:59Trill London.
22:00Trill not going to be able to jump around if he can't get to his feet.
22:03Hooks that knee and another kick out.
22:05And you wonder how much damage now has been done.
22:08Almost as if Romeo was trying to hyperextend that left knee.
22:12of some smart strategy and the fact that Trill London is known for his high flying, his aerial assault.
22:19And if you take that away from him, you're really cutting out a lot of the things that make Trill
22:23London great
22:23and so exciting to watch in terms of effectiveness in the ring when it comes to his offense.
22:27And now look at this single leg Boston crab right now.
22:30Romeo with it locked in.
22:31Will Trill tap out?
22:33Can he get to the bottom rope?
22:40Now cinching it in with a little extra torque is Romeo.
22:44And remember the knee that he was looking to hyperextend.
22:47Romeo screaming at Trill right now.
22:50Trill though, the heart of a champion able to get to that bottom rope.
22:54Wow.
22:55That's a metaphor for Trill London.
22:57He just keeps fighting and he'll keep reaching for that chance to get up and fight another day.
23:12I don't know, why were you guys after his knee?
23:14He also didn't favor it at all.
23:17He just did the craziest knee tear thing of all time.
23:21I mean...
23:22WWE Universe trying to rally both individuals because JB we are at a pivotal point in this matchup.
23:29Nice take down. Trill coming right in.
23:31Going into that lower back with that big flip.
23:34Coming across with a knee right to the temple.
23:36Romeo could be on a little bit of Dream Street right now.
23:39Well Trill certainly has an unconventional...
23:41Oh Trill...
23:42Offensive arsenal I dare say.
23:44What's going through his mind on one bad wheel?
23:46One bad wheel.
23:47There's no way.
23:52Here we go!
23:54Boom!
23:55And a little extra rotation.
23:57And I don't know if that safety barricade was there.
24:00How much further Trill would have went.
24:02He landed right in referee Darryl Sharma's lap.
24:06We told you these two were going to be high octane fast pace.
24:10And back to the top.
24:12Trill looking down.
24:14And ooh!
24:15Swan time!
24:17Connects.
24:18Cover.
24:19And a big win for Trill.
24:21What happened?
24:22I don't know why he bounced like it.
24:24Trill!
24:24I don't know.
24:24It looked like he got it.
24:25Yeah that was weird.
24:28Oh it's going to be an ass .
24:29Well there will be no Juliet tonight for Romeo.
24:32But there will be a victory for Trill.
24:40So at the beginning you guys were just kind of wrestling.
24:46It seemed to get like that part out of the way.
24:50So you guys could get through your cool .
24:51Oh sorry sir.
24:52So like.
24:53Well you don't have to say sorry to me.
24:54Yeah.
24:55One of the things I always say is like what we do should be reactionary at all times.
25:00You shouldn't know what's next right?
25:01You know what I mean?
25:02Yeah.
25:02You guys called it.
25:03So you guys know what's next.
25:04But we're supposed to have a score.
25:06We're supposed to pretend like these people don't know that we know.
25:09The knee work was good.
25:10But you forgot about it.
25:13I heard like time, time, time.
25:16And then my house was like I got to go.
25:17So I forgot about it.
25:18Well that's a fair.
25:19Look that's a fair thing right?
25:20Because it's a real thing.
25:21You got to hit your times on TV.
25:22But ultimately you avoiding to sell your knee probably saved you 10 to 15 seconds.
25:31You know what I mean?
25:32It wouldn't have mattered.
25:33Okay.
25:34But like all the high flying you guys do looks super impressive.
25:38You know what I mean?
25:38And you didn't look, you didn't make it look too easy.
25:41They listen to the feedback very well and they have the right attitude.
25:44I see a lot of my young self in Romeo in terms of how seriously he takes this, how much
25:49he loves it, and how important it is to him.
25:51They both seem pretty receptive and they love it, which is great.
25:54I like seeing that.
25:56I like seeing people that love what they do.
25:58Feel good?
25:58You good?
25:59Yes, sir.
26:00Just Romeo around?
26:01Romeo, Romeo, where are thou?
26:03Romeo.
26:04You guys have a good little chemistry together.
26:06So let's just make sure that every time that we're out there what we're presenting is clean.
26:10Every time I punch you, I want you grabbing it.
26:12Every time I kick you, I want you grabbing it.
26:14The art of the register is even that much more important than the art of the cell.
26:18Without a good register, the cell means nothing.
26:20Coach Bloom always gives some great pointers.
26:22A lot of coaches, you know, they don't say nothing.
26:24And, you know, you're left wondering, like, what can I do to get better?
26:28And he's the first one to tell you.
26:30So I really appreciate him.
26:32Strikes.
26:33Clubs.
26:34They're just poor, dude.
26:35Just poor.
26:36They're not even wild.
26:38Like, they're soft and they don't look like they're gonna hurt a fly.
26:43Turn those bad boys over so they're here.
26:46Practice that.
26:47That's how men punch.
26:48That's how you punch.
26:49All right?
26:49I don't think you've ever gone into a fight like this.
26:52Hey, this was a solid match though, man.
26:54And I see you working hard to take out a lot of the extracurricular moves that you do.
27:00And it's playing for me right now, dude.
27:02I like the cut, dude.
27:03You look good.
27:04You got a new name.
27:06Feeling confident right now?
27:07Yes.
27:07Good man.
27:08Good man.
27:09Keep it up, brother.
27:09Proud of you.
27:10Keep it up.
27:11Thank you.
27:11Appreciate you.
27:12I would love to work with mi hermano.
27:14We can bring a new style, a new way of moving.
27:17Getting Coach Boom to see a little bit of that.
27:21Increible.
27:23Talk about rivalries, you know, later down the line, I'm gonna say this is probably like,
27:26you know, my first one and then my favorite.
27:31He's like my best friend.
27:32He is my best friend.
27:47All right, guys.
27:48Has Coach Bloom talked to you guys about specific responsibilities or specific things that he would
27:54like to see from each one of you today?
27:55My selling, so I'm going to take the heat today.
27:58I'm glad you're going to take the heat today.
28:00If you don't sell with your head up today,
28:03do you know who you're making life difficult for?
28:04Him.
28:05Yes, makes sense.
28:06You want to make eye contact with people tonight
28:09so they feel for you,
28:10but the most important eye contact you can make tonight also
28:13is with Apollo.
28:16Last time I had a match,
28:18Bubba wasn't happy with the way I was selling,
28:19and the way he kind of went about telling me
28:21was I kind of got upset with that.
28:23Who can see your face if you're looking down there?
28:27Move past that, something I have to focus on.
28:29Hopefully I can show that to that.
28:31How are we grabbing the people by the throat
28:35right off the bat?
28:36So big lock-up, big lock-up.
28:38We stall and stall.
28:39I'll get a little bit on him, a little bit on him.
28:41He's going to start walking back, walking back.
28:42I'll break off.
28:44Okay, so stop for one second.
28:45This is movement.
28:47There's nothing established.
28:49I'm watching, and I have nothing to sink my teeth into.
28:52Okay.
28:52I'm not emotionally invested in this at all
28:54other than watching movement.
28:56Okay.
28:57I think he changed everything for the best.
28:59There was a lot of movement,
29:00a lot of just wasted energy
29:02that we didn't really need to do,
29:03and he took it all out.
29:04Double shoot Elijah into that corner.
29:06Hey, just close the rope.
29:07Come out with a double clothesline.
29:09Double clothesline, come.
29:10Boom.
29:11This is Road Warrior 101.
29:15You get ripped into the buckle,
29:17you take the buckle,
29:18double clothesline Elijah,
29:19and this.
29:21Got you.
29:23Bubba, being able to put the match together with him
29:25and learn from him as we put the match together,
29:27that's what this is all about.
29:28I want to get better.
29:29I want to work with people
29:29that have been doing this longer than me
29:31because it's going to help me get better.
29:32And then bully.
29:34Boom.
29:34And then bully.
29:35Boom.
29:35And then bully.
29:36And build and then face up.
29:38Yeah.
29:38And if you feel like Elijah is not picking up his face,
29:42pick his face up for him.
29:44Yep.
29:44Meet him.
29:45Look at the people.
29:46This is your guy right here.
29:47This is your guy.
29:48Boom.
29:49Go to this side.
29:50This is your guy.
29:52Boom.
29:53Boom.
29:53Now there's some emotion and some feel to this.
29:56I would agree.
29:56I would agree, too.
29:57I was helping them design this match
30:00so it would have been impossible
30:03for the four of them to fail,
30:05giving them the best opportunity to succeed.
30:08Tag him.
30:10Get out.
30:11Get in.
30:12Get out.
30:13Yes.
30:14Hit him.
30:15Boom.
30:16Tag him.
30:16Boom.
30:17There we go.
30:18Now this is going on in front of the people tonight?
30:20Yeah.
30:21This match?
30:22Yes.
30:22Oh, my God.
30:23It's going to work like a charm.
30:28We've waited since the start.
30:31The time is now.
30:33It's our main event on Legends and Future Greats.
30:37As always, ringside for this main event.
30:39I'm Vic Joseph, joined by Jeremy Boras.
30:42Jeremy, it's not Halloween,
30:43but we got a treat for you in our main event,
30:45tag team style.
30:46Certainly a treat.
30:48Looking forward to this one
30:49as we've got two kind of veterans of the performance
30:52that are coming together for the first time,
30:54really, here on LFG against a tag team
30:56that we've seen form here
30:58through very interesting circumstances.
31:00More on that in a minute, but let's get to it.
31:02It is our main event this week here on LFG.
31:26The following contest is a tag team match
31:29scheduled for what fall.
31:32It should do seem first,
31:34the team of Elijah Holyfield and Apollo Crews.
31:42Stay tuned for the main event here on Legends and Future Greats.
31:52Oh, when you talk about professionalism,
31:55I think it's, oh, these are two opposite teams
31:57when it comes to that category.
32:06And their opponents,
32:08the team of Harley Riggins
32:10and Ken Hendricks.
32:22Why?
32:22Why?
32:24Why?
32:25Why?
32:27Point the tandem, JB.
32:28Again, I'll let you have the feel
32:29to describe what we're seeing right now
32:30with these two.
32:31I'm going to go out and live and see,
32:33I think these two will have a good dynamic,
32:35knowing their personalities as I do,
32:37and knowing their abilities in the ring.
32:39Once the bell rings,
32:40we might be here seeing
32:42what could be a great tag team form
32:44right before our very own ass.
32:46Enough with the high stepping.
32:48Enough with the pretty boy bull
32:51be a badass.
32:54Holyfield starting with Hendricks
32:55and look at Riggins trying to reach in,
32:57opening the door though with that distraction.
32:58And that has to be something
32:59that Apollo Crews just saw
33:01that he's got to talk to Holyfield about.
33:03When you talk about being a mentor,
33:04seeing these small little cracks in someone's game.
33:06Yeah, well, I'll tell you what.
33:08Aside from that,
33:08the confidence that these two have,
33:10and I'm talking about Harley Riggins
33:11and Cam Hendricks,
33:12they're, to me, a match made in heaven
33:14because they both think very highly of themselves.
33:16Just ask.
33:17Peter, what we can agree on?
33:18What's that?
33:19We can agree on the fact that
33:20this team, Elijah Holyfield and Apollo Crews,
33:23if they stick to their guns,
33:24if they keep doing what's been working for them,
33:27we might see future tag team gold
33:29in their lifetime.
33:30We might see it down the road.
33:32You can talk about tag team gold
33:33all across the board,
33:35all across the world for these two.
33:37And from behind,
33:38talk about Riggins
33:39and old-fashioned atomic drop bound
33:42with a flying shoulder.
33:44And this is someone that
33:48people have questioned his mentality,
33:51questioned his antics.
33:52You can hear from the WWE Universe.
33:53What are you hearing about Harley Riggins?
33:56I'm hearing potential.
33:57That's what I'm hearing.
33:57I'm hearing a guy that shows up,
33:59gets the work done.
34:00and you may not like him personally.
34:02But you can't argue with the fact
34:04he shows up,
34:05he puts the work in,
34:06and he believes in himself.
34:08Those intangibles.
34:10He also really,
34:12from what I've been told
34:13from the Performance Center,
34:14is someone that does not care
34:16what the other athletes,
34:18how they think about him.
34:19Yeah, to the point
34:20that they're annoyed by him,
34:20of course.
34:21But he's here because,
34:23as Booker T would say,
34:24it's about two things,
34:25checks and championships.
34:26Well, and take a look at
34:28who's mentoring him here this week.
34:29Bubba Ray.
34:29I mean, if there's ever a guy
34:30who shows up and doesn't give
34:32a rat's you-know-what
34:33about what people think about him,
34:34it's that guy.
34:35Learning from the past.
34:39Oh!
34:41Yeah, baby!
34:42Yeah!
34:43Into the cover.
34:43And I gotta say,
34:44early on in this matchup,
34:47Hendricks and Riggins
34:48have worked very well together.
34:49Almost as if you looked
34:50into a crystal ball of sorts
34:52when it came to the potential
34:54of these two individuals
34:55as a tag team.
34:56Holy fear!
34:58Holy fear!
34:59Holy fear!
35:00Well, you know what?
35:01Potential is what the name
35:01of the game is here
35:02at the Performance Center.
35:03And seeing those talents
35:05put it all out there in the ring
35:06as they're climbing the ranks,
35:08trying to get that spot on NXT.
35:09For Cam Hendricks,
35:10there's been a lot of questions
35:11about him.
35:12He's been called out
35:14by some of the coaches
35:15in the Performance Center.
35:16I'll throw you this one.
35:17Has he stepped up to the plate?
35:19I'll say this much.
35:20He's shown a lot of improvement,
35:22specifically here in Season 3.
35:24He started off rough.
35:25Had a bad outing
35:26at the very beginning
35:27of the season,
35:28but since that time,
35:29I would say that was almost
35:30a wake-up call for Cam Hendricks.
35:33And since that time,
35:34he's shown up
35:35with a whole new attitude,
35:36whole new confident
35:36side of himself.
35:38Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
35:39We've seen,
35:39we just haven't seen it of all.
35:44And now desperately making the tag.
35:46In comes Riggins.
35:47And Apollo Crews so close.
35:49I mean, that I haven't seen
35:50someone get that close
35:52and not make the tag ever.
35:53Crews was right there
35:55and Riggins was able
35:56to pull back Holyfield
35:58at the last moment.
35:59Ring awareness
36:01by Harley Riggins
36:02and well done
36:03because at that point,
36:05if Apollo Crews had tagged in,
36:07this match might already
36:08be over already.
36:09Apollo Crews waiting
36:10on the outside,
36:10wants that opportunity,
36:11chomping at the bit
36:12to get him there.
36:13There he is.
36:13Crews reaching out right now.
36:14Holyfield so close
36:15under the ring,
36:16trying to pull Riggins
36:17over to his corner.
36:17Big form.
36:18We know about
36:18the punching power
36:19of a Holyfield.
36:20Reaching back out
36:21right there, JB.
36:22He's right there.
36:23So close.
36:23And oh,
36:24with the big right hand drop.
36:27Reaching for the tag
36:28when Hendricks pulled down.
36:30Apollo Crews
36:31at the last moment
36:31and then just getting
36:33mowed down
36:33was Elijah Holyfield.
36:39And they certainly
36:40have cut the ring
36:41in half.
36:42When you talk about
36:43Bubba Ray Dudley,
36:44you talk about
36:45a tag team expert.
36:46You talk about
36:47a Hall of Famer.
36:48You talk about
36:49someone who's worn
36:50more tag team gold
36:51than anyone
36:52in the history
36:53of professional wrestling.
36:54Just ask him.
36:55He's got to like
36:56what he sees
36:57in this moment
36:58right now
36:59in this match
37:00because it has been
37:01all Hendricks and Riggins
37:02and if you look around
37:03and you listen
37:04to those here in attendance,
37:05it's almost as if
37:06the air has been let
37:07out of the performance.
37:08Well, so many fans
37:09have followed the journey
37:10of this Mr. Holyfield,
37:13this great athlete.
37:14Look out.
37:17Elijah gets out of the way
37:19and makes it back
37:19to the final line.
37:20Apollo Crews,
37:21a man who's been
37:22a United States champion,
37:24a man who's been
37:24an intercontinental champion,
37:26a man who's had
37:26Wrestlemania moments
37:28and this place
37:29is fired up.
37:31Come on, Apollo.
37:32Keep it going.
37:33Don't let him die.
37:40What a man of it.
37:43LFG, Apollo, Holyfield.
37:45This tag team is on fire.
37:49Not only they are on fire,
37:51everyone in attendance
37:51is as well.
37:52Swing and a miss.
37:53Sherman suplex
37:54for your troubles.
37:55Apollo Crews right now.
37:58No wasted motion.
38:00Big power slam.
38:02Riggins is legal.
38:03Hook and leg.
38:04Hendricks able to save things.
38:05Riggins didn't have enough
38:06though to kick out
38:07and now all four men
38:08in the ring.
38:08Things starting to break down.
38:10And Elijah Holyfield takes quick work
38:14of Cam Hendricks.
38:15Now look out.
38:16There it is.
38:17Oh, my word.
38:19Cruz is legal.
38:21Cruz is legal.
38:24Getting froggy.
38:27One, two, three.
38:29Statement made
38:30in our main event.
38:33Here are your winners.
38:35The team are
38:36Elijah Holyfield
38:38and Apollo Crews.
38:41What a victory.
38:43But what's next
38:44for Crews
38:45and Holyfield
38:46in the WWE?
38:56So what did the people tell you?
38:58They liked anything.
38:59We did our job.
39:01They were there for the hot tag.
39:03They were there for the hot tag.
39:04We moved them.
39:04Cheered us.
39:06How would you sell that?
39:07Our last encounter
39:09doesn't happen
39:10if you sell like that.
39:12Gotcha.
