00:15The problem? Well, magnesium is really hard to work with, and it's really expensive to work with.
00:20But after investing 30 million US dollars last year, XDS reckon they've cracked the code.
00:25How? Well, rather than using a cold chamber forging process that can leave magnesium bikes with voids and imperfections,
00:33they're using a thick zone moulding process, which involves a thousand tonnes of pressure
00:38and putting the magnesium into a semi-molten state at around 600 degrees to create this bike.
