Brother found, search on for second teen swept away in Paka river

One of two brothers feared drowned after being swept away in Sungai Beril, Paka, on Sunday (May 24) has been found, while search operations continue for the younger sibling.   Muhammad Amir Ashraf Mohd Zulnaidi, 15, was located by a firefighter scuba squad at 3.47pm, hours after he and his 14-year-old brother Muhammad Aidil Amsar went missing while visiting the river with two friends at 10.30am. 00:31Two others managed to escape.

00:33The elder brother, Amir Ashraf, a student at SMKA Jurian Guling,

00:39was found by the firefighter Scuba Squad at 3.47 p.m.

00:44Search operations for his younger brother, Aidil Amsar, are ongoing.

00:49Mohamed Rizwan said 15 members from Paka,

00:52assisted by teams from Karte and Chukai,

00:55are conducting riverbank searches and diving operations to locate the missing boy.
