00:00:47But Colorado Avalanche fans all morning were watching Cale McCarr.
00:00:50It is day three of officially Cale McCarr Watch, and this was by far the most stressful day for Avalanche

00:00:56because 9 and 10 a.m., it was a bit of a rollercoaster.
00:00:59There was a ton of information.
00:01:00The day started with McCarr coming out before the official morning skate.
00:01:04Tick apart in a few drills.
00:01:05Now, this was taken as a bad sign, but shortly after, he went into the dressing room
00:01:09and came back out and joined the rest of the group.
00:01:11He took part in some battle drills.
00:01:13He talked to the trainers.
00:01:14He did motion to his shoulder.
00:01:16Now, this was taken as a good sign, but shortly after, Jared Bednar confirmed the worst news for Avalanche fans.
00:01:22He would not play in Game 2.
00:01:24So, trailing in the series, no Cale McCarr, not the start of the Avalanche wanted.
00:01:28And in Game 1, we saw what could be taken as maybe a little bit of frustration from Nathan McKinnon,
00:01:34but the head coach didn't see it that way.
00:01:36Jared Bednar telling us earlier today that this wasn't frustration.
00:01:38This is just what makes McKinnon great.
00:01:40He would act the same way in a 6-2 win or a game in October as he would the
00:01:45playoffs.
00:01:46He's driven.
00:01:47If he doesn't see something that he likes, he will tell people.
00:01:50So, no frustration, just motivation.
00:01:52Expect to see a big bounce-back performance from the Avalanche.

00:06:24Well, not only has he handled it, he has thrived.
00:06:26Every night in the playoffs, he has been a star.
00:06:29And when you play this well at this time of the year,
00:06:31rules don't necessarily apply to you.
