00:00Hi, it's just me. I'm Nicole, and the Cavs have taken on the Pistons in a pivotal Game 5,
00:05though I would like to argue all the games are pivotal.
00:07Plus, we have trouble in L.A., and the slumping Dodgers have now turned to Shohei,
00:11and the NFL is making an international statement.
00:15This is SportsCenter right now.
00:17Monica McNutt is with us now, or I say with us, as in me.
00:22Look, James Harden was able to do what the Cavs have not been able to do.
00:26He got them a win on the road this playoffs.
00:30How did they get it done? Because they didn't look so good early on.
00:34No, they didn't look so good.
00:36What are you going to say now about a Pistons team that had the lead and let it slip away?
00:46Because we do get another Game 6 of the days.
00:49McNutt, thank you.
00:51Some of the international games for a little bit, like the game in Australia on September the 10th,
00:56that's between the Rams and the Niners.
00:57I think it's pretty cool.
00:59I'm also not Kyle Shanahan.
01:03Officially, no one asked me, but I think it's great.
01:06It's nine international games, nine opportunities for essentially the Briscoe family vacation.
01:11Australia, that makes the most sense.
01:14We have family there.
01:15And if you've already gone like 10,000 miles,
01:18what's a few hundred more to go from Sydney to Melbourne for the Rams and Niners?
01:21Then there's this one.
01:23My oldest daughter, she turns 13 in December, and she has already informed me that someday she's moving to Paris.
01:29I've been before, but she needs a scouting trip, right?
01:31The City of Lights in October, the Steelers in the States, sounds perfect.
01:35Personally, I love England.
01:37I think there's a multiverse version of me that already lives there, specifically in the Cotswolds, maybe owns a pub.
01:44There are three opportunities for real me to head over there in October.
01:47And then there's my only trip to Spain.
01:49It was to Malaga.
01:50It was more beach.
01:51No Madrid at all.
01:51Well, Bengals and Falcons can help me change all of that.
01:59Mexico's never a good idea.
02:00Margaritas, the beach, somewhere in November.
02:04I'm happy to take in some Vikings and Niners along the way.
02:07Rio, I mean, that represents a giant hole in my travel life.
02:11I have never been.
02:12Ravens and Cowboys, Christ the Redeemer, they go together.
02:15And I might as well also explore some personal family history, too.
02:18Stop in Munich, see where my grandmother's family is from.
02:21Watch the Patriots and Lions.
02:23What is that?
02:24Four continents, seven countries?
02:25I see nothing wrong with this thing.
02:29I have been married for 16 years.
02:31I've also been with my husband, Ryan, for like 20.
02:33So there is absolutely a formula to all of this.
02:37And it basically, like in my house, it starts with one simple question.
02:40Is Ryan home?
02:41Now, if the answer is no, I've got to put my big girl pants on and I've got to deal
02:45with it by myself.
02:45But if the answer is yes, I get to then proceed to the following questions.
02:50And I'm going to start with how big is the spider?
02:53Like, is it moving too quickly to keep an eye on it?
02:55Does it require a name, three square meals?
02:58If the answer to that is it's a big one, then duh, Ryan.
03:03Does it have hair?
03:07Obviously, Ryan.
03:08And perhaps the most important follow-up is, does the spider appear to be carrying spider babies?
03:15If the answer is yes, then I think we all know the answer to that.
03:20Burn it.
03:21Oh my God!
03:23I hate all of you!
03:25Peter babies.
03:26If the answer is yes, then I think we all know the answer to that.
03:31Burn it.
03:33Burn it.
03:41I truly hate them so much.
03:43I did not know this was coming.
03:45I did not.
03:46And, um, this is what, there will be payback.
03:49Oven and Camaggan, I will pay you back.
03:52Um, I'm officially out of words.
03:54My voice, guys, literally scratchy from this.
03:58That's why Trevor and Phil are here to take you the rest of the way.
04:01You know, you just, like, you broke, and this one's like, there we go.
04:07Which we name it.
04:09Freddie.
04:10Freddie.
04:12Hello, Nicole and Trevor, with a few Thursday thoughts, like chaos in Buffalo after just one period,
04:17and the goal of the playoffs, you're not going to convince me otherwise.
04:20Oh, no question about that.
04:21Also, Titans may have been trash last season, but they got an early dub with the scutting release.
04:25The NFL will be here before you know it.
04:27The Sports Center's here right now.
04:30I'm so happy to see Tim Hasselbeck back on the show.
04:32At this point a season ago, like literally on this day, the Patriots were staring at what
04:37was considered the third easiest schedule going into this season.
04:40They transitioned that into a 14-3 season in which they also made an appearance in the
04:45Super Bowl.
04:45So when you look at those schedules now, who has the potential to be this year's version
04:50of the Patriots?
04:52Okay, now it's a big leap because we're talking.
04:55I heard there is that Tim Hasselbeck says the Saints are going to the Super Bowl.
04:58I'm kidding.
04:59I'm kidding.
05:00I'm only kidding there.
05:01We say this at the beginning of every season when a surprise team loses a game, and then
05:05they lose a second game, and then they're staring at a potential 0-3 start, and we're like,
05:09oh my God, it's a disaster.
05:10The flip side of that is who has the easiest schedule and has the best potential to get
05:15off to a really good start to the season?
05:19Hope to a fan base that feels dangerous to give hope to.
05:22It's a little like when you get hopes to Jets fans.
05:25I don't think this is a secret when I say this, but through our jobs, we are essentially
05:30paid to watch sports.
05:32So if you had to be a fan for a second, if you had to go out and buy a
05:38ticket, what's
05:40the game that you're like, yep, that's worth my money?
05:45It's week 12, and it doesn't matter what else is going on.
05:49It hasn't taken us down the wrong path at all.
05:52Mr. Hasselbeck, thank you very much.
