00:00I was the fourth child out of five kids.
00:03Do you remember at the age of 10, I had a neighbor's uncle.
00:07I went to her house and he sat me down on his lap and he put his hand up my
00:14shirt
00:14and he looked at his daughter and said, this is my girl now.
00:17And I was very confused.
00:19I had a boyfriend and we were dating for about six months
00:22and he started pressuring me to do things like he would put his hand up my shirt
00:29or he would get an ice cube and like drop it down my shirt
00:32and then just use that as an excuse to touch me.
00:35One thing that you're not allowed to do is do anything before marriage like that.
00:40So as a 13 year old girl, I went to the bishop and told him what happened with this boy
00:45and that I told the boy I didn't want to do it.
00:48But they were preparing to go on a temple trip,
00:51which was something that I had dreamed of doing.
00:54While I was telling this bishop that this happened with this boy,
00:58he told me, well, you're not worthy to go to the temple,
01:01so you can't go because this happened to me.
01:04And that made me feel like I was worthless.
01:07And I stopped going to church for a little bit.
