00:00Being birthed into a household where there was violence, aggression, physical abuse from my dad to my mom,
00:06my older siblings being terrified of my dad, not knowing what that looked like,
00:11like pretty much checking the temperature of the day, like tick-toeing around the house,
00:15walking on the eggshells, and they got a lot of the abuse from my dad too.
00:21He literally was a soldier in the house.
00:24If things weren't done correctly, there was a beating.
00:27If things weren't said correctly, there was physical violence.
00:31So when I came along, I was told that it got less and less.
00:34But what ended up happening to me was he me.
00:38None of my siblings knew except for one sister that is 12 years older than me.
00:44When my dad started physically abusing me, she was aware of it because she was not a willing participant,
00:51but she was a participant in that situation.
00:53So let me go even further.
00:56My dad started abusing me when I was a one and a half.
00:58I know this because the trauma set in my brain, and I was able to remember me being in a
01:03crib
01:03and reaching out to my sister, you know, because I wanted her to pick me up out of the crib
01:08or something like that.
