00:28:58Yeah, I suppose in the past there have been a few ladies I guess you meet along the way that
00:29:01don't want to commit to moving to the farm because they're scared of how far away it is from their
00:29:05families and their friends and their support network.
00:29:07But Chloe made it very clear that she would drop everything to move to Biloela, pack up her life and
00:29:13move to Biloela for you.
00:29:14Yeah, Chloe did make that very clear.
00:29:16She had no doubts at all.
00:29:17But then on the other hand, Keely's timeline for moving kept shifting.
00:29:20She kept creating a lot of uncertainty that she was actually ever going to make the move.
00:29:26How did you feel about that?
00:29:27There was a lot of complexity there around knowing exactly how long she had to be committed to her current
00:29:33job for before she was able to move.
00:29:38I think three months would be very minimum and then probably would be more toward the six month mark.
00:29:48My contract is another roughly eight months and because I've had to take time off to come here, it would
00:29:55probably be more that nine to ten months when my contract date would actually end.
00:29:59Yep. I don't know how I'd do it, to be honest with you. Like, you know, I feel as though,
00:30:04you know, waiting and love's worth it.
00:30:06But, you know, if you look at ten months, that would absolutely kill me doing that.
00:30:11I definitely sit, like, very serious about you.
00:30:13Love to me is more important than money.
00:30:15He wants somebody here quite quickly and if I can't give him that, then, yeah, that worries me.
00:30:20I just really want to be loved and I want to love somebody and, yeah, it definitely scared of the
00:30:26potential of being hurt
00:30:27and I'm walking away without love and I'm thinking that, yeah, I can't be loved.
00:30:38I said right from the start coming into this experience that I don't want to do long distance. I've done

00:32:19So how did you make that final decision?
00:32:23Really coming down to that final decision, it was really tough.
00:32:27But I really had to go with who I felt with, who I was strongest in my heart, who I
00:32:33had the strongest connection with, you know, emotional level, everything like that.
00:32:38And I had to go with someone who completed me as a whole, who I felt was best and who
00:32:43complimented me best in life.
00:32:44And at the end of the day, I felt as though that Keeley was that girl.
00:32:58I want someone who loves me for who I am, wants to live in Biloela to be my rock and
00:33:03be that shelter throughout the rain.
00:33:06And to me, it's definitely going to be a risk. However, I feel like that risk could be worth it.
00:33:16I feel as though I can be my true authentic self when I'm around you.
00:33:25Keeley, it makes me very happy to say, but I feel like I'm falling in love with you.

00:34:24So far it's not really looking like there's anything for me in terms of optometry.
00:34:28So I sort of have to look beyond that and I'm just struggling to see myself being able to do
00:34:35my own career is really hard.
00:34:38At this point in time, I can't foresee getting a job locally, as an optometrist at least.
00:34:42So if I want to move earlier, I think I'll have to sacrifice my career.
00:34:48I just don't know if I'm ready to do that just yet.
00:34:50You know, she had to go back to her job.
00:34:52Yeah, and it's been a while since I've seen Keeley.
00:34:56It's been incredibly hard doing long distance, especially being something that I didn't want right from the start.

00:40:16and you did something that has never been done before on farmer. Why did you decide to invite
00:40:22only four ladies back to your farm? Yeah I suppose you know I knew that I didn't have that much
00:40:27time
00:40:28so I thought it'd be the best thing to do to be fair on all the girls and not waste
00:40:33any of their time
00:40:34and pick the four that I thought that you know there was potential with. One lady that stood out for
00:40:41you
00:40:41was Sarah. I noticed Sarah like straight away. Just a warmth you know that I felt she sort of took
00:40:51with
00:40:51her everywhere she went. That's amazing. Oh it's because I have wasabi on it.
00:40:59I don't know. You want to? Oh sorry. There you go. Give it a crap. Jeez it smells hot.
00:41:15I'm definitely feeling something with Sarah. It's a good feeling.
00:41:27So you have a connection with Sarah but you also had this spark with Olivia as well. She and I
00:41:33had
00:41:33heaps in common and I felt like she probably understood my lifestyle better than any of the
00:41:38girls. So I'm a vet. This is a photo of my first cast that I ever felt when I was
00:41:43doing this so it's
00:41:44pretty special to me. You know it started with probably what you'd call a friendship and it did
00:41:48build slowly. How do you feel about you and I at this point? Yeah I do really like you. I
00:41:56think
00:41:57that we're on the same page. Good. No that's good to hear.
00:42:08So home visits really intensified both your relationships. You went to Cairns. What was
00:42:14that like? It was hot. Barmy Cairns. I've never been to Queensland before so far north Queensland
00:42:20was certainly an eye-opener. She's very very close with her family and friends in Cairns.
00:42:30We'd know Sarah's lived in Tasmania before and then did move back because everyone is here. So we
00:42:38would just want to know how often realistically could you potentially come to Cairns for a visit.
00:42:43I'm fairly tied to where I am. You know how often and for how long do you would you like
00:42:50to see
00:42:50I know you'd like to see her all the time but yeah ideally I'd like her to stay. It was
00:42:56definitely
00:42:56an insight into her life that I probably hadn't you know had a glimpse into at that point. So did
00:43:02that bring up doubts for you? It did make me sort of hesitate and think twice about whether I'd
00:43:11be enough for her. And Sarah did live in Tasmania for a year and left. Why did she leave? Oh
00:43:20I think
00:43:21it was a combination of a lack of support and also I think the winter hit her pretty hard. So
00:43:27that
00:43:27must have been playing on your mind? Yeah it's absolutely. So to me it sounds like you had a lot
00:43:36to weigh up. How did you make your final decision? I felt like on paper Olivia probably made a lot
00:43:43of
00:43:43sense. We would have fit into each other's lives fairly easily. But on the other hand I had this
00:43:49really I guess deep emotional connection with Sarah that had stuck with me throughout the experience.
00:43:57You did choose Sarah in the end. What was that moment like for you? It was great.
00:44:05I've said from the beginning of this that that I would know that I'd found love if I found someone
00:44:11that I thought about when I imagined my future. And I can't imagine my future without you Sarah.
00:44:19Would you like to share your future with me? Yes of course I would love to share my future with
00:44:23you.
00:44:29You took a big risk with Sarah so once the cameras stopped rolling how did it go? She came
00:44:33back and stayed for a week after filming finished. We were able to explore further you know the
00:44:40differences between us and you know the reality sets in. Since the cameras have stopped rolling
00:44:49Sarah and I have had a great time together. Where's your old mate? Claude's. Bum. Yeah. See she's a
00:44:57distinguishable cow. Distinctively grotty.
00:45:04But there's been times that I've questioned whether Sarah and I would work out in the long term.
00:45:10So you're thinking about coming down permanently. I obviously can't do it till
00:45:16um probably like a little bit after my birthday that's coming up in the next few months. I do
00:45:21really love my life in Cairns. It's where all my family and friends are and you know where I've built
00:45:26my life for the last like 28 years. So it will be hard to be away from my support network.
00:45:32You know it's
00:45:33going to take me a couple of months before I can fully come down here. Are you still okay with
00:45:38that
00:45:39time frame? I would say yeah the sooner the better. For us to progress Sarah has to move down and
00:45:47that's
00:45:48the only way that we can further our relationship. Yeah so after um the week that we spent together
00:45:57obviously Sarah did have to go home. Which you know it wasn't a great feeling but I guess we knew
00:46:05it was coming.
00:46:05She's lived in Tassie before. She's left. She's back in Cairns. So the question is is this history repeating itself?

00:49:47I was looking for somebody who is able to cope with my lifestyle and is able to
00:49:51help me and be there for me and hopefully I can do the same for them and you know end

00:49:56happy marriage. The first girl who caught your eye was Chloe. Right from the very beginning.
00:50:03You know I just could tell she had such an out there personality. And you took her on that first
00:50:0824-hour date.
00:50:16Do you want a race? No. Why not? I'm a doggy paddle. I'm competitive. I am. She's just so really
00:50:22really cool and I wanted to see if I could get to know her more and see if it would
00:50:26work. You know
00:50:26obviously two big personalities are either going to really blend or bite heads. Maybe you've got a fun
00:50:32loving care of yourself on the inside. Yeah definitely. A bit rough around the edges but
00:50:37I don't think there's anything wrong with being rough around the edges at all.
00:50:41What was that date like? At the end of the night I grabbed out the guitar after we had dinner.
00:50:48She's got brown hair, green eyes, and it makes me wonder how I deserve.
00:51:01I sang her a song that I'd been writing for a little while and yeah I thought it matched up
00:51:06to her.
00:51:06But you also had this connection with Ash. Yeah. After the uh the rodeo event that we went to I
00:51:13had the pleasure of taking Ash on a date. On that night we had had an amazing day and just
00:51:18I think
00:51:19a great way to top it off was a nice little slow dance and you know we did share a
00:51:23moment together.
00:51:24I'll hear the world fades away. I get lost in the race. I'm really really liking Ash. You know in
00:51:31a
00:51:31small nice upper room. You know seeing somebody who's just really really happy go lucky is just
00:51:35amazing. I'm feeling very very excited about the potential future with it.
00:51:44We were all a little bit surprised your journey to find love ended quite early on. Knowing that Ash
00:51:50and Chloe were sort of my interest um I made the decision that was hard for me but right for
00:51:56the
00:51:57girls right for Brie and Lucy to send them home and let them get back on with their life because

00:52:02didn't want to feel like a bad person leading them on. You did have amazing connections with
00:52:08Ash and Chloe. So tell me about your chemistry and connection with them. The sort of relationship
00:52:13I suppose you could call it with Ash. It reminded me of that first love kind of uh it was
00:52:17exciting
00:52:17and Chloe she's very very cool you know she's fiery. She's one of the toughest girls that I've met.
00:52:23She had to keep up with you. Yeah well. At the very beginning you said you wanted
00:52:26a firecracker. 100%. In the end you chose Chloe. How strong are your feelings for her?
00:52:33At the end of the day Chloe really hit it home and you know it we came from a similar
00:52:39background.
00:52:40We came from similar families. We have same morals and the same sort of passion and dream.
00:52:45I care very deeply for Chloe and I'd like to hope that she cares the same way for me.

00:53:19I thought it was a great way to go about life and if we could do that together as a

00:53:59Yeah. So um Chloe and I uh we finished up. Chloe spent a lot of time with me on the

00:54:06know it was really really wonderful for quite a while.
00:54:13Right now we just need to walk these boys and girls back in.

00:54:33Coming out of this experience I thought it would be a lot easier but yeah it definitely isn't.

00:54:51because like I've been so used to being as busy as I as I always am. You know it's fairly
00:54:57simple for me to just go oh this is life.
00:54:59Um. That's what you've done. Yeah. Whereas for Chloe like you know it's hard to see her struggling with it
00:55:06because
00:55:08whilst I'm trying to just get everything done as quick as I can it kind of
00:55:12feels defeating when there's not much I can do to make her feel better.
00:55:18I definitely think moving forward we will need to juggle our time a bit better. Yeah I think effort is
00:55:25a big thing so
00:55:27we will just see what the future holds I suppose like you take back day by day and see what
00:55:33happens.

01:05:31So I'm so happy to be back on the farm and with Tom again being surrounded by animals. I absolutely

01:05:40I feel very fulfilled just this whole time on the farm. I've just felt really so happy
01:05:48but my family and friends gave me a lot of advice not to sort of rush into anything like I
01:05:55have in the past.
01:05:58So today taking Tom to go and see a house in Boca potentially that I could live in
01:06:06instead of moving to the farm. Like in the past I've moved in
01:06:11with partners and I did not feel ready it was only a couple of months.
01:06:17It's pretty disappointing. Like what's the difference between Boca and the farm because
01:06:21it's only 25 minutes away so we're just going to be catching up all the time.
