00:11Thank you Andrew Lancaster for your passion. You pitched up pretty hard for this project to receive
00:20federal funding and it's worth every dollar of it because this is an investment in this region as
00:28well as this club and Sir George Dragons of course have such a long history. They have a short history
00:37as the United Club that now you can become under one roof which will see you, I mean West Tigers
00:47territory and I see that when you don't have everything under one roof with one direction that can cause some
00:55issues.
00:55I have no doubt that this will be the day in which people look back and say that's where the
01:03Dragons went from where they are today into the success that historically they have been.
01:10It is important to acknowledge the history of your great club. Eleven consecutive premierships make this club or its forerunner,
01:20Sir George, the most successful team club in any team sport in history in Australia and indeed the world. Unbeatable.
01:34And that is a great history.
01:39And the pride when confined with the rugby league nursery that the Illawarra has been going back to 1908. This
01:50is a region that has produced some of Australia's finest footballers over many, many years. And the Bruce Gordon Centre
02:01will be a magnificent new home for it.
