00:00Mr. President, with many Americans concerned about affordability ahead of the midterms,
00:04there is some backlash from the Senate Republicans to some of the other priorities,
00:08the ballroom and that anti-weaponization fund.
00:11You clearly still have a stronghold in the Republican Party.
00:14Your candidates did very well this week during the primaries, but are you losing control of the Senate?
00:18My candidates did well, not all candidates, didn't they?
00:21But are you losing control of the Senate, sir?
00:24Are you losing control of the Senate, Senate Republicans?
00:26I don't know. I really don't know.
00:28I can tell you, I only do what's right.
00:31I don't need money for the ballroom.
00:33You know, I'm making a gift of the ballroom.
00:34This is the biggest misreporting that I've ever seen.
00:38The ballroom is being built.
00:40It'll cost, we've done, it was going to be $200 million.
00:43I've doubled the size of it because we need it.
00:44And it's being done in conjunction with the military and with the,
00:48very much in conjunction with the military and Secret Service.
00:52We're on time, on budget.
00:54It's going beautifully.
00:55I have all the money I need.
00:57We're making a gift to the United States.
01:00They came along and they said,
01:02we want to make it the House, the White House, overall, more secure.
01:08And I understand that.
01:09Not for me, because I'll be gone.
01:11You know, I'll be gone and you'll have somebody else in for hopefully hundreds of years.
01:16But that's what they're doing it for.
01:18The ballroom is paid for.
01:20It's a gift.
01:20I mean, I want to make it clear.
01:21Because so many people say, I thought you were giving this away.
01:24And all of a sudden, the money that they're spending is for security having to do maybe
01:28around the ballroom and other parts of the House.
01:31But this is not for the ballroom.
01:34The ballroom is being a tremendous amount of what's being done with respect to the ballroom
01:40is for national security, including, as an example, a drone port on top, which was top
01:46secret until litigation made it less than top secret.
01:50But we have a drone port.
01:52We have also, we have the glass that's four inches thick, bulletproof glass.
01:57We have bulletproof walls.
01:58We have things.
01:59You need a place like this.
02:01But this is being made as a gift from me and other people that are great patriots that
02:06spend a lot of money.
02:07We're building what will be the finest ballroom anywhere in the world.
02:11If they want to spend money on securing the White House, I think it would be very, very
02:18much a good expenditure.
02:19But the ballroom is being built.
02:20But what if Congress doesn't sign off on the security money, sir?
02:24Then the White House won't be a very secure place.
02:27But then regarding Cuba.
02:28It's a big decision that we're waiting for from the Supreme Court.
02:33We had a terrible tariff decision.
02:35They cost, they cost our country a fortune.
02:38They said, do it a different way.
02:40We're doing it a different way.
02:42But we're going to most likely have to pay back $149 billion.
02:46All they had to do is put a little sentence in there, half a sentence, saying that any money
02:51is paid don't have to be paid back.
02:53You know, you're talking about the people in many cases that hate our country.
02:57Give them back money.
02:58It was a terrible decision.
03:00And it's not going to affect, because we do the tariffs a different way.
03:04The tariffs are what's bringing in all of this money.
03:07It's really made our country rich.
03:09Let me just do one follow-up on that.
03:10How do you want things to end up with Australia for Bruce, though?
03:13Would you like them to add to that?
03:14Well, we want it open.
03:15We want it free.
03:16We don't want tolls.
03:18It's international.
03:19It's an international waterway.
03:21They're not charging tolls.
03:23Right now, they are losing $500 million a day, is what it's projected.
03:27I don't know.
03:28It sounds like a lot of money.
03:29But whether it's 500 or 200 or 300, they're losing a lot of money.
03:33There hasn't been a ship that's been able to get through without our approval.
03:38And the Navy has done an amazing job.
03:41And no ship is going to Iran, as you know.
03:45No ship is going to, or out of Iran, without our approval.
