00:00I mean, do you think Iraq is looking set to be dragged more into this conflict?
00:05I mean, we've seen more attacks launched from Iraqi territory in the last week or so.
00:11I'm wondering whether you think that perhaps could be a feature of the next chapter of this conflict.
00:16Well, you know, that gets into some of the thinking that my co-authors, two UK citizens and I,
00:23put into the article we prepared, and we decided that Iraq was dealing with a different war.
00:33The result, not unnecessarily, put it this way, exclusively of U.S. action,
00:41but also violence against Kuwait launched by Saddam Hussein,
00:45in which his nuclear weapons program was a considerable, put it this way,
00:54asset for him in the political and diplomatic by-play.
01:00That was, I believe, eliminated.
01:03I'm not sure the successive wars were necessary to do that, but some presidents thought so.
