00:01This is the first date's restaurant and we're back finally a place where anything
00:13Okay, it's possible, but you've piqued my interest
00:18No, nobody's losing their cool an instant attraction
00:23You gorgeous eyes
00:25Stop it
00:28The match made in heaven
00:32I'm a big fan of your parents work for a sudden shock to the senses
00:39None of these data's know what to expect. I'm in a village. Oh
00:47What happens next
00:53Is up to them
00:56Would you like to see each other again romantically?
00:59Yeah, no
01:01Yeah, I would I don't know about her
01:10There were nights when the wind
01:13Was so cool
01:50I just think I'm fun. I have a lot to offer
01:53And yeah, I think we're gonna have a great time with this
02:23Hello
02:25what brings you here and what love but obviously that didn't work out so here
02:30for the vibes now I was in a four-year relationship with an Irish guy who I met
02:35in Toronto moved here and then two years after moving here we broke up and I have
02:41been here since so all he was a stepping stone to your real dream you said that
02:46not me what type are you looking for really like fun person outgoing has a
02:53good head on his shoulders confident in himself has a good life good friendships
02:57nice family ambitious they already did ten points I think you should stop yeah
03:03okay I'm gonna draw my dream Irish man we're giving him a bit of our muscles
03:09because I really like like a nice arm I'm gonna give him a pink shirt because I
03:13think the man that wears pink is very confident a lot of the Irish guys have
03:18like that you know the Irish haircut where it's like it's like shaved here and then
03:23it goes up this guy doesn't have that here we go meet Owen getting to know
03:32Ireland by myself and building my community it's actually been amazing yeah
03:36you have to find your bearings all the time which is tough yeah so I found my
03:41bearings and I need to find my man thank you very much is what Connor might say to his guitar
04:00sometimes with the guitar that's just a cheat code there isn't it
04:07I like the girl who knows what she wants you know somebody who's confident and quite self-assured
04:12kind of has a bit of a presence I think I'm very particular I have to have like that spark
04:18you look
04:19great man we're okay we're kind of casual but we're casual this is who I am take it or leave
04:24it what you
04:25want anybody that knows me knows that I don't go on dates no blind dates as scary as it is
04:35you made it
04:36you brought someone yes hello how are you nice to meet you lovely to meet you Mariah where'd you come
04:43from I'm I live in Dublin yeah how about you came from Galway oh yeah Galway good few times yeah
04:50like
04:50yeah yeah I love it oh wait so you're from Galway I'm originally from Brighton in the UK oh yeah
04:55yeah
04:56can you not tell my accent yeah of course about 10 years ago I moved here fully didn't mean to
05:03I actually stayed Connemara got me I think does that to a lot of people do you uh do you
05:09usually date
05:09do you or what's your do I usually date hmm regularly regularly date oh no absolutely not I just I
05:15just
05:16date my dog I just date myself so I know that sounded really bad I mean I mean I don't
05:24date I don't date
05:25so well how are we getting on some people merely claim to be old-school romantics Saeed keeps detailed
05:40accounts I think it's really important in a relationship to be really romantic like I've
05:45done terribly cringy stuff like I've had like art commissioned and stuff of them and there was one
05:51relationship I was in I saved every receipt from every single day we went on and put it in like
05:57a
05:57big scrapbook on our first anniversary I'll never forget the moment we kiss just like telltale of every
06:05single date would be on oh fuck it's a trick it's a trick man I got tricked how are you
06:13getting on
06:13mr. your name Saeed Mateo nice to meet you Saeed absolute pleasure where are you coming from
06:18uh Ranalee okay I used to live in Arden like oh seven eight years yeah it's gorgeous isn't it
06:23yeah beautiful my favorite part of Dublin oh it's expensive yeah yeah yeah yeah I live in the tiniest
06:29box room ever so you know we don't pay too much but it's good I know I don't really come
06:33across as a
06:33nervous person a lot but deep down what would you like a drink I'd love a drink what would you
06:39like
06:39I would love a Negroni respect he's in love with you now let's just skip this right we'll go on
06:46a
06:46day together come on let's go let's just get out of here yeah I just find it's a great way
06:51of getting
06:51to know someone better and and delivering some kind of rapport it's not like if I'm there telling
06:57jokes and being funny like they won't know I'm shivering inside like we have like the most
07:03rubbish little box rooms with no insulation or anything that sounds like every apartment in
07:08Dublin so it does I wouldn't blame Ranalee for that I'm not blaming Ranalee do you live with a lot
07:13of
07:13people I live with four lads okay they're all from Cormac why don't you all just cuddle together in a
07:18bed yeah but one more I've suggested it they really they keep turning me down like lads why can't we
07:23just
07:24all you know if I was there I would I'd be like yeah no problem it's fine thank you finally
07:28anything to
07:28save money on electricity think about the bills yeah it's a cheeky cuddle with the boys I've had
07:34times where a girl has invited me over to her gap I'm just sitting on this over together she's making
07:39thinking back she's making very obvious signs and I'm just there like oh no I thought it was just
07:44friends someone who's a bit weird like myself a bit tapped in the head yeah honesty is good you know
07:54down to
07:57you're a freak hey looks or personality for Zaza it's all about the beauty within definitely
08:10personality they can be kind of goofy looking I don't mind they've just got kind of like an endearing
08:15sort of look to them or like some kind of charm or spark it can be kind of silly and
08:23goofy which I enjoy
08:24being but I'm actually smart hopefully I think that I'm smart and I think that can take a little longer
08:30to see
08:30because I just like to sort of goof around a lot nice to meet you beautiful what's your name Zaza
08:35Zaza is that a short for
08:38Alexandra Alexandra okay Alex in Croatia we would call we would call you Alex yes yes in the US too
08:45we call me Alex but I'm Zaza yeah okay I've gone on dates with like Irish guys French guys people
08:51from
08:51sort of all over because it is so international here but you do need to have some sort of like
08:56stuff in common you know your date is at the bar okay yeah no no no you're not going without
09:01me I'm going with you
09:02oh you're coming sorry too eager I feel like I'd be more nervous about what they thought of me than
09:10who the person is maybe hello how are you oh good nice to meet you oh are we going what
09:15are we doing
09:16yeah I think we're going we'll do it all yeah yeah yeah yeah not too hard yeah yeah no great
09:19start to
09:20things great to meet you you look stunning love the dress thank you so much absolutely yourself thank
09:23you you won't bear for lack yeah how are you feeling feeling good I'm a little nervous yeah I suppose
09:29you'd have to be yeah what the cowboy boots as well look at those those are class thank you very
09:34much
09:35and where's that accent from I'm from the US Arizona I guess I guess the US bring a bit of
09:40culture yeah
09:41culture yes I freak out I get my housemates to say no it's fine it's normal people go on dates
09:48all
09:48the time what do you do I'm a student and students and I work at a restaurant what are you
09:54studying I'm
09:54studying creative writing yeah creative creative person yeah how long have you got left until you my
10:03thesis is due on Friday it's due on Friday yeah yeah thank you and you're here yes I'm here this
10:10actually was making me more stressed than my thesis yeah I can imagine once I get this out of the
10:14way
10:15okay that's finished just a thesis now yeah so how long have you been in Ireland um three years what
10:24brought you over here um love to be honest yeah you know when I first came it was actually really
10:30hard
10:30like I'm not sure how you felt when you yeah it was strange like um for me like half my
10:35family's in
10:36England half them are here so I'm kind of between the two about 15 years ago my dad and step
10:41and moved
10:41over here took over um a business that my step-mom had so do you work for your dad then
10:46no I um I work as
10:49a musician I grew up in music so like my dad is a guitarist and my step-mom is saxophone
11:03player so I
11:04kind of had to play music when I moved to Ireland music scene on the west coast of Ireland is
11:09so good
11:10but I just felt at home do you sing in pubs across Galway yeah yeah the west coast of Ireland
11:15yeah oh my
11:16god 60s 70s stuff you know like Eagles oh yeah Creedence Clearwater oh wait oh is that them I don't
11:22know
11:24oh there we are getting the voice out now a few more pints then they'll come would you do Irish
11:31tunes
11:31or like not Irish stuff especially my accent yeah I was gonna say they must hate ya get off the
11:38stage
11:38that's why they're booing ya I'm sorry I never asked your name I didn't ask yours mine mine doesn't
11:49matter mine's Zaza it is not Zaza it is it's short for Alexandra but everyone calls me Zaza everyone
11:58I was also before it was a term for weed before it was just just to be clear yeah I'm
12:04the original
12:04and what's yours my name is Saeed Saeed a pleasure to pleasure to meet you proper a handshake now we
12:13did the hug earlier yeah yeah yeah we're getting more formal as it goes on yeah exactly will I just
12:17send you like a an invite to like a team's meeting yeah that's fine yeah yeah that's all good yeah
12:22I
12:22could do anything for a first date all that matters is sort of getting to know the person I could
12:26go for
12:26a walk I could go for a drink I like to think I'm very sort of flexible and open-minded
12:31so what do
12:32you do I didn't ask that what do I do I am a pharmacist okay so I sell drugs cool
12:38but like hey the chill
12:39kind I really love it I love being a pharmacist and whereabouts do you live I asked you this already
12:44do this yeah yeah no no no I could piss some people off sometimes or annoy some people with the
12:49way I
12:50deliver things you're from Ranala or you live in Ranala and then you are from somewhere else that's
12:58right okay so you're asking me where am I really from no no no no no no no no no
13:04it's okay backtrack
13:06so you can ask me that um I was asking if we were really from Ranala mostly I piss off
13:13my friends
13:15because then I'm with whoever they're with that I don't really know that well and I'm delivering
13:20all these weird lines and saying weird crap to them okay so timeline timeline your life let's do it
13:26timeline of my entire life yes is this another way of asking me where I'm really from I'm not asking
13:31where are you really from you just kind of you already asked me where I'm really from so I did
13:36actually to be fair so to be fair so I said I'm from Cabra and you said where are you
13:39really from
13:40no but I didn't say that I was born in a place called Azerbaijan okay no no no yeah you
13:47know of it
13:49yes don't we all no we don't okay well I do okay how'd you know it from you know the
13:55maps
13:57from the maps also I'm an F1 fan there's a are you race there is a grand prix there okay
14:04yes I thought
14:05so me and my dad both love formula one actually I liked it first and then he got into it
14:09I think
14:09he was like finally she likes the sport so he started watching it too and now whenever there's
14:13a race on we're like texting each other about it we have races there yeah yeah yeah I'm a race
14:19you're a race okay yeah so anyway finally we we hear where you're really from I don't have to
14:28ask any more questions around just be silent for the rest of the night there are two sides to
14:42Luciana and they're both a bit tasty if you were a food type what would you be sweet and sour
14:51chicken
14:52it's sweet but it's a bit sour because I could be a little bit I came here for holidays and
15:02then I
15:03met my ex I started living with him like after two days I think would have been a serial killer
15:12I was with him for four years and then when I separate I said well I'm gonna stay
15:26I need to make an entrance so what brings you here I don't think you need any help you're getting
15:32a
15:32man well sometimes you know someone else that make the choice for you could be a different perspective so
15:38I want someone I have to say honest that wants to share that wants to do things with me and
15:46if
15:46he's hot wonderful and how has dating been in Ireland for you so far I mean not bad but not
15:56that good
15:57okay I mean that's why we are here today right exactly so how do you find Irish men oh they
16:05are they
16:06are gorgeous I have to say some of them they are very good looking however sometimes a little bit
16:12difficult on communication side I am quite communicative it always seems to work that way
16:18it's like opposites attracts you know and it's like we're on a stage that is like opposites attracts
16:22yeah this is too opposite it's too opposite back in civvies after 20 years in the army Dara is still
16:38doing his bit for the United Nations I'm looking for someone who is happy outgoing and fun
16:47I'm divorced three years and I've been dating and Tinder dating around I had a relationship with a
16:54Brazilian woman relationship with a Polish woman you know I've met a lot of nice people but I just
17:00haven't met like the one I suppose yeah it's a pleasure to meet you it's a pleasure to meet you
17:05yeah well done buddy I'm just here for romance I've got my roles I'm looking forward to meet my date
17:11believe me when when I show you that you're gonna be happy if you don't capture this chance I'm after
17:17you okay okay let's do it make me proud then I will let's go I'm definitely not for everybody but
17:23I'm a
17:23chatterbox so you won't be like any awkward silences or anything like that and I think whether like we
17:28hit it off or not you still have a good day thank you nice to meet you nice to meet
17:37you how are you good
17:38great would you like a drink I would love a drink I love a whiskey sour whiskey sour coming up
17:42nice so
17:43I like your tattoos look at all those tattoos yeah yeah that's so nice do you have any tattoos I
17:48do yeah
17:49yeah like David Bowie so it's like always things related nice and it's like yeah um so did you travel
18:00for how is you came here yeah I just got the boss so yeah but yeah I came in the
18:05Lewis say it's not
18:07that spot a fire yes are you a little bit you're a little bit nervous are you um no no
18:16I haven't been
18:17nervous no no I've just been looking forward to it and you know I didn't know what we date would
18:22be
18:23a little bit nervous about that but never seeing you I'm very happy so okay thank you I'll have it
18:27yes
18:27it's good oh yeah
18:41so
18:51we live on the farm in Connemara like my family home oh really yeah you know it lands we used
18:56to have
18:56chickens what do you do with them they all died they all died why that's so sad badger word badger
19:05what a badger I eat them what's the badger you know what butter is never heard about it no you
19:15know like how do I explain a badger how do I explain a badger it's like a fox of course
19:23I know
19:23it's similar to a fox but they're like more aggressive it's animal I thought it was like
19:29courage or something no like a badger it's an animal I'll show you a badger okay okay
19:46so and what do you do I work in the tech industry okay yeah I do like coding and stuff
19:52like that okay
19:53well what do you do I work in recruitment procurement recruitment recruitment yeah yeah
20:02hmm so yeah how would I know if your date's going well I would say like you know there'd be
20:10like a lot
20:11of smiling and eye contact would be good like I've been told sometimes my eye contact isn't very good
20:16but like I think if I'm like feeling someone I would be looking in their eyes and smiling and stuff
20:21so
20:21if you see me doing that it's probably going well um tell me something about you well we imagine for
20:30everything and I'm a sport like sporty guy you know I like doing sports like you know I was boxer
20:36for a
20:36long time okay and then recently in the last year so I've started dancing I've started doing dancing
20:42okay what's dancing yeah like for hope like Brazilian like Brazilian for hope I go to the
20:46dance studio like multiple times a week basically which is a big barrier for me by the way yeah when
20:52you see the people down there they're really good at like expressing themselves and they don't care
20:56so yeah it's like liberating yeah yeah like honestly like feel sexy and dancing and you know not feel
21:02embarrassed about it when I was two years old myself and my parents moved here eventually settled
21:13down in Dublin in Sauron and it's famously well we'll see this this is the thing this is the thing
21:19I say
21:20still Oregon but like we move from place to place to place to place okay yeah we were put with
21:27other
21:27asylum seekers in like this old B&B out in tip then we eventually moved up to Dublin and like
21:33it
21:34wasn't easy because there really wasn't many immigrants around back then the only reason I say
21:38still Oregon is because my school was there okay yeah we just kept moving around yes kept moving around
21:44yeah it was challenging growing up but you know you get on with it went to college in Trinity okay
21:53cool yes become pharmacist which you are currently so yeah yes I was working in a pharmacy in Kulak when
22:03the double rides broke out and and I just remember it happened and I remember people coming in and the
22:09the looks I was getting just felt difference and as someone who's like lived in Ireland their entire
22:14life I love Irish culture like if someone asked me where I'm from I say I'm Irish and work hard
22:21for
22:21this place work hard for its people and and then to say no you don't belong here yeah it just
22:28doesn't feel
22:28great oh wait you could bring three dinner guests to this table I'm gone I've been number one but who
22:41would the three dinner guests be Prince okay and I would like to sit down Brian Adams I saw him
22:49live
22:49literally two months ago he's so good he's Canadian at the concert he like made everyone like flash I
22:57didn't do it because an hour later I was walking and I saw my boss but anyways Brian Adams Prince
23:03and
23:04the last person for is you the last person no no I said that's a given so like I'm gone
23:08I said I'm a
23:10Gordon Ramsay he made this meal what's like to perform like you know say you're not working you've got a
23:21weekend yourself you can do anything you want well I do like the same dancing I do like um heels
23:28it's important very sexy I do pole dancing I love heels I love that thing with the kids if they
23:38are like this high a
23:39centimeters very beautiful I'm telling me this tell me this since you've come to Ireland like how's your date and
23:47been
23:47going well it's not actually well if what it hard to believe like a woman like yourself is single and
23:57I've been in long relationships so I've been too long well one long and the other one not that long
24:03um but I entered a relationship was the same day I was let go from my job bad timing my
24:10god well you
24:12know when one thing happened everything happens nice like it rains apart yeah it was very tough because it
24:17was all the same day that's life also isn't acknowledging rightly and sometimes maybe it's me so that I'm
24:25I'm going on the wrong way or doing the wrong thing you know like I don't know awareness of okay
24:30it's not only the other person because it's easy to blame the other that's the communication thing
24:35though yeah yeah oh yeah so you're just enjoying being single at the moment and oh no I was focusing
24:40more on myself like yeah it's true when it's yeah it's important to be happy on your boy yourself
24:45but yeah but he said you don't know it's meant to be in their own either you know
24:56try as she might Fiona just can't seem to go out without attracting police attention when we're
25:03going out we say we're not going to go to coppers and then the end of the night always ends
25:07up in
25:10coppers you're not particularly looking for a guard are you well I wouldn't say no to it I don't think
25:16anyone would say no to a guard or if he could find me a rugby player that would be nice
25:20yellow yellow
25:23yellow is the color of the summer oh I'm such a hopeless romantic I'd love to meet somebody do
25:29know at a bar or on the street that's my ideal way that I'd meet my husband but I I
25:34don't know in
25:34this century is it gonna happen thank you very much I'd like a gentleman you know somebody who's
25:41not cocky can have the crack but also is like really down to earth thank you I think you have
25:49to have a certain personality to pull off yellow do you know what me last year like would never have
25:53applied for this really what changed I broke up with my ex I moved out of home I started a
26:00new job
26:00and I said this is just the cherry on top I'm just trying to push myself in my comfort zone
26:04oh
26:05it's fair play oh god like what have I done there's been Susan and Jacqueline and Karen was one
26:16Angela's nice looking she's dark and mysterious to look at him you'd never suspect that Tom has a
26:24passion for the autoerotic and that is my most recent car all my cars have names I just I just
26:33think it suits them better nice to meet you Tom sorry my man are you I'm in the easy spot
26:40how are you
26:40nervous fine what is it that you are looking for I want to find the love of my life I
26:47think I think it's
26:49possible hi how are you sorry nice to meet you nice to meet you what's your name Tom Tom Fiona
26:56nice
26:56to meet you where are you from Kildare Grant Grant yeah Kildare but living in fingerless seven a minute
27:01where are you from Kilkenny fab yeah lovely spot did you travel down this morning no I live in Dublin
27:07do you know Ashtown oh yeah I live or I work on the Navin Road that's outside my house stop
27:13what do you do
27:14I'm a nurse why so I work at the minute with adults with intellectual disability and so I work for
27:21a
27:21disability service I actually love it so much I used to do nursing what's happening something did
27:28you do ID stop oh my god I was in for a year and then COVID came yeah I couldn't
27:34commit to after that
27:35so what do you do now in data centers my last job I used to climb like radio towers oh
27:42my god that's
27:43bizarre so you go from nursing to like you know scaling buildings it's bizarre
27:52well okay how long have you been single like two and something years it's a while that's that's a
27:58long time that's tough I mean I like there's been some dating in the middle mmm I've been sitting at
28:04home like you know filling my thumbs but no that's fair yeah what are you I've 24 hours yeah yeah
28:12yeah
28:12better than three hours I kind of knew that this was coming down so I just let me just quickly
28:16just
28:16broke up with her yeah kind of this I'll get back with her tomorrow clear the roster yeah clear the
28:21roster yeah no no no I've been single for a year and you're in change you're in change yeah I'd
28:32want him
28:32to be someone I could have a laugh with you know maybe split a bottle of wine you know should
28:36we
28:36get shots we could do one shot two shots okay what shot would you do it would be tequila if
28:44I was doing
28:44a shot it would be tequila but then also have a serious conversation I can trust him you know I
28:49want to feel like I really know him I have an understanding of him as a person and then I
28:53think
28:53like whatever problems come up you can deal with them as long as you have that sort of baseline
28:57understanding all right to a first date how do they say cheers in American cheers you guys say
29:04slantcha I am fucking with you yes slantcha slantcha mine was very salty still that was worse than the
29:13shot I literally look at all of my best mates they've all in relationships yeah and I'm not
29:23I mean here we are have you had like a relationship before yeah yeah yeah we were together for about
29:30three years um lived together and that and it just didn't work out like I kind of realized towards
29:37the end of it like we weren't really suited okay and like I'm not one of those kind of people
29:41so I'm
29:41like stay in something because you feel like it's the right thing to do you know so yeah it's hard
29:46yeah
29:47it wasn't right we weren't right for each other but I still loved her so it was kind of it
29:51still
29:51hurt a lot you know and then I'm just not great at like online dating oh it's awful here isn't
29:58it
29:58online dating back home you match with someone and 80% of the time they'll they'll write you and
30:06at least say hello or come up with a pickup line whereas like on dating apps here like I match
30:10people
30:10and I'm like it's a ghost town well I've downloaded it a few times but like just to see but
30:17I've never
30:17gone online date I'm not as confident as you think I am no no no I'm surprised when you're not
30:22confident
30:23I feel like being in position you kind of have to be when you're singing and you're playing music
30:26it's like you can hide behind it back home we're very direct so like if we like something we say
30:32it
30:32if we don't like something totally fine we say it and move on for me personally if I like someone
30:37I'll say it but I brought my friend Meg who was visiting me from Canada to Galway and we went
30:42to a few pubs
30:42which one of live music it was really really nice it was you that was playing you know that's why
30:47it
30:47was so nice imagine that guy's so hot and now we're here I'm like like damn I've seen him I
30:54know his
30:55voice I can't believe you're only working on the mountain road sorry my residents like we go out
31:07driving every day so like I'd be driving down the mountain road and like this big red bull oh I've
31:10definitely seen a big red bus oh my god you definitely see me like driving the bus that's
31:16so embarrassing I used to love the bus get everyone out for a spin yeah you build such big relationships
31:22with your residents and it's very much about integrating them into community life and promoting
31:28independence for them you can see the difference it's making in their life so it's really nice to see
31:34so what does your parents do mom was an ID nurse no way oh my god it's meant to be
31:43um and my dad was a guard I actually wanted to ask him before like did you meet in coppers
31:49I think they were weird and got married like in a shopping center what was the reason I don't know
31:56I think they just wanted to have fun I love that oh my god like don't stick with the norm
32:01who needs a
32:03church how do you feel about like the whole like traditional marriage thing I don't know
32:12do you have anything no I like to I like to believe I have like guardian angels that's a bit
32:18comforting but
32:19I wouldn't be I wouldn't be like a big God guy yeah that's lovely I feel like I'm on the
32:25fence about
32:25it some days I do and some days I don't I think it's more of a comfort thing like I
32:30want comfort in
32:31knowing that there's something else afterwards I was over in Spain last week actually oh really yeah
32:42where did you go yeah salute okay yeah I have two kids okay hmm my daughter's just going 10 so
32:49you
32:49have a girl that's a girl and boy yeah boy boy 7 okay like last year at the Disneyland oh
32:56really yeah
32:57every area I just bring them somewhere like you know it's like spoiling them they're having the
33:01best time at this point that's what you have to do yeah that's their childhood basically you've got to
33:05have childhood memories and stuff like that yeah I'd go without the kids I love it oh really
33:10to like rollercoasters no no I can't no I don't want to suffer maybe I'm just a bit of a
33:18kid I don't
33:22know thanks by myself that sounded so bad though would you ever go for like solar dinners or like
33:28solo like lunches I think a lot of people nowadays have a bit of problem with it they think they
33:34have
33:34to be with someone yeah I've kind of gone through that stage now I've like doing that all by myself
33:38I
33:39think when you're single like 50% of the time you're like this is great out of the weekends
33:43and that it's fine then but it's when it's like the Monday mornings or the Monday evenings and like
33:47you're by yourself but now now it'd be more nice it's like have something to do with not go by
33:52yourself all the time yeah because I probably am starting to look a little bit like a loser you know
33:57when you meet people and you're like there's energy there but you don't want to make a move
34:01because then what if they're actually not into you and they're just being nice it's just a
34:06minefield let me just put that honestly as well I've got it are you sure I've loved my time
34:12it's really sweet thank you moment of truth would you like to see each other again romantically
34:22ladies first or see what means yeah I'd love to yeah I'd love to yeah
34:29yeah I thought we're going really well yeah yeah really good fun yeah so what did you ask for
34:34tonight someone who is like chatty likes music nice person how about you I asked oh my god no
34:44what is this this is my dream man I like someone who is a family man yeah someone who's confident
34:55but I think you're very confident even though you're like I don't know just put the belly in
35:00should have left a really nice smile you have a great smile who is owned Owen is the old Mariah
35:15good boy Owen hello Connor yeah what's happening with the hair I like to see you draw me I would
35:26love to
35:37thank you ladies all the best hello hi how are you good how are you more importantly oh my god
35:47he's so
35:48nice is he yeah he studied a year as an intellectual disability nurse no way and his mother is an
35:55intellectual disability nurse I know I don't know though is he my type really I know what does he do
36:06he does stuff with cables I think I don't really understand his job do you like don't in the city
36:16I
36:17think it's wonderful can't like 10 million habitants where I'm from in just a city zone only where
36:23it's higher 70 or yeah now here for me I think there's no three side yeah yeah I love it
36:29here
36:29we are in a change so much now like you know in the 80s 90s people used to leave or
36:34and you know
36:34there's no jobs here oh yeah that's why there's Irish are like immigrants all over the world you
36:39know but now people are coming here because you know there's opportunities here and I think it's
36:43like a better all the different nationalities I think it's great I like that too that that
36:48mix of cultures and doesn't matter where you know you go like Irish people itself are very welcoming
36:55I remember when I arrived and I went to a pub first time I was on my own there was
37:01a group of
37:01people there they see me on my own it's all join us for drinks and they start getting drowns and
37:05I
37:06was like I thought that was very nice right it's the place that makes you feel part of so for
37:12me I
37:12needed that feeling of belonging and and I got it here in Ireland cool it's good here hmm I love
37:22just
37:22like a plain cheesecake that's nice yeah you've been to the cheese have you ever been to the US I've
37:26actually never been to the States okay that's okay no rush no I'll wait until they're less racist over
37:31there and then hopefully it goes eventually the less racist route it might it's currently it's going
37:37the other way it's going very much so the other way yeah racister more more racister well to be fair
37:43I have family over in the US and in DC mm-hmm so I was born there actually you're more
37:50in DC yeah
37:51well like the suburbs in Virginia suburbs but like I'd want to know we were kind of aligned politically
37:56hopefully religion doesn't matter to me as much I'd be more flexible about what would be like your
38:01dream job that's an interesting question as a writer there's none there's no jobs oh sorry yes
38:06you're a writer yeah so you will never be employed yeah you know I like my restaurant job but I
38:11don't
38:11think like I want to be in a restaurant forever working at a restaurant is great inspiration for
38:15writing because so many different people come in you know you hear something and you're like no if I
38:20could just like be a writer and survive that would be ideal that's what I was gonna ask yeah do
38:25you read
38:25or both my parents are writers so lots of books in our house so they definitely supported me being a
38:34writer they might have supported me less if I want to be a doctor or something it's like the opposite
38:38favorite book ever never let me go by Kazuo Ishiguro you know you're pulling out some niche stuff not
38:47it's so fair it's really not that niche I hate to say I actually think all right all right all
38:52right
38:52you hear that now you're just making me look stupid my mom had a brain tumor for about eight
38:58months before she passed away she always loved everything I did that was even like kind of out
39:03there she like she was so supportive and me moving to Ireland she was the one who was like you
39:07should
39:07absolutely do it you know repeat the name of the book never let me go never let me go by
39:13Kazuo Ishiguro they're clones but it's a sad book oh there's the one where they like you use their bits
39:21and other people's bits I have heard of this yeah their bits are for sale their bits are for sale
39:28yeah they
39:29put the bits in the other bits and then and then they die they die yeah yeah I haven't read
39:33it in
39:33years like maybe I'd read anything was shit now oh yeah sometimes you do need to revisit the same
39:39place to figure out how much you've changed wow that's very touching
39:49so I'm now an auntie really he's only four days old he's growing by the minute it's so new as
39:59well
39:59like like yeah like he's really new he's precious yeah he's gorgeous like so is your brother no my
40:06sister so it's just me my sister and my mom at home so yeah he's gonna grow and be like
40:10Jesus Christ I'm
40:11surrounded by women like for me I have three sisters they definitely were in charge of the
40:17house but I would still get away with everything and still be the favorite so you get it I kind
40:23of
40:23do you know oh my god I love him so much like I literally love him like he's my own
40:29child I can't
40:31I can't wait there's no there's no pregnancies yet yeah I actually cannot wait family is like huge to
40:39be I'd be terrified of having kids but because I'm too young for it now but it's something that
40:44I'd like I can't wait for I suppose like it's the milestones isn't it like because it was only my
40:49mom and me like obviously you go to these milestones and being like God like I wish my dad was
40:54there
40:55um what happens with your dad if you don't mind me asking so when I was I think I was
41:0112 he had a
41:02stroke um and my mom found him and he was rushed to hospital and then he was in ICU for
41:10a long time
41:11and then he went to rehab for a few months he lost the power of his right arm and his
41:15left leg but
41:17they got him to be able to put himself in a wheelchair and they got him his speech back not
41:23completely but he never got the capacity back his brain capacity um so he ended up in a nursing home
41:29and then he passed away when I was 17 stuff that's really tough it's tough but like what you're so
41:35resilient when you're younger like you kind of just go into overdrive when you're that young you don't
41:39even think about it but when you stop when you're older and you're like God like that actually has
41:43really shaped me as a person you know it's tough but like now that there's a baby involved you're kind
41:49of like God like this is life you know yeah and did you like speaking English before you came to
42:00Ireland like oh yeah yeah because your English is like perfect thank you do you speak Irish well
42:06we learned at school yeah like but I I haven't I don't speak regularly but I'm okay yeah but I'm
42:12okay
42:13it's like the people that say oh I speak Spanish and they say oh I get that I don't have
42:16a bit of a
42:17conversation let's say like um couldn't start to tell you okay Dara's I'm done it's my long on on
42:28day I'm data at the date maybe in this day I'm enjoying this day okay that's good that's important
42:34we're here to have fun that's the important thing yeah oh thank you I'm gonna get that by the way
42:41oh no
42:41we could share we could share it no we're not gonna have an argument with the live television
42:45but I really have no dad that like it I know I know but I want to get it please
42:49let me okay

43:35stuff like that yeah yeah but I have a great time thank you so much pleasure to have you great
