00:03I've never seen this short odds to win any event on the PGA Tour.
00:07The Byron Nelson this week has Scottie Scheffler listed at plus 155.
00:12And I think, if I'm not mistaken, from looking at the field, that's more of the reason why.
00:18Now, let's also note that Scheffler missed a couple earlier in the year.
00:23And so maybe that's why he's playing in this one.
00:26But when I see Siwoo Kim and Jordan Spieth as the next closest odds, it tells me a lot of
00:32guys taking the week off after the PGA.
00:34Yeah, it's definitely a light field.
00:37And Scottie's here for a couple of reasons.
00:39He's the defending champion.
00:41He absolutely torched this golf course last year to the tune of 31 under par and beat Eric Van Royen
00:49by eight shots.
00:51And, you know, it was so off the charts that they brought in Lanny Watkins and said, all right, we
00:57got to redo this golf course.
00:59And so we do have a little bit of a new product this year.
01:02I think the formula is the same.
01:04It's a pretty straightforward, you know, hit the ball a long ways, hit greens in regulation.
01:08And it becomes a putting contest.
01:10It'll be a birdie fest.
01:11The winning score proposition bet at the Westgate Superbook here in Las Vegas this year is under or over 23
01:19and a half under par.
01:21And the average winning score for the last five years here at TPC Craig Ranch has been a little better
01:27than 25 under par.
01:28So they're adjusting by a couple of strokes for the redesign.
01:32But Scottie also being, you know, a resident of the Texas area and having grown up in that area.
01:37Jordan Spieth, the same thing.
01:39A lot of the local Texas guys will show up and honor these events.
01:44But, yeah, it's a watered down field.
01:46And I went with nothing but long shots, Craig.
01:49And it's all basically predicated on Scottie's odds, as you point out, being so low.
01:55And then you've got Spieth and Kim at like 15 and Kepka at 25.
02:00Everybody after that's like 50 to 1 or higher.
02:03And that's where I really started.
02:05Yeah, and you like, this is usually when you hit your big one here, Brady, when the field is like

02:11So, Matty Schmidt is the one name that I'm circling here because he played so well this past week.
02:16I mean, the odds just seem off here.
02:18How is he 80 to 1?
02:19Feels like he should be a 40 or a 50.
02:21Well, you know, if he didn't do what he did last week, then maybe Matty Schmidt is typically 80 to
02:271 or so.
02:28But I thought that was tremendous.
02:30And I mentioned that I believe this is going to be a putting contest.
02:33Matty Schmidt is a really good putter.
02:36And, oh, by the way, those were bent grass greens last week at Arana Mink, just like we have here
02:41at TPC Craig Ranch.
02:43And who was number one in that field for strokes game putting last week?
02:47Matty Schmidt.
02:48So, I went with a lot of putters at long odds this week, Craig.
