01:03But I remember, and again, this was early in Jason Kidd's coaching career, but Jason Kidd
01:09didn't know that head coaches also coached practice.

01:13He didn't show up for practices.
01:15Lawrence Frank coached all the practices.
01:17And there came a point early in the season where during timeouts in actual games, the
01:23team would look to Lawrence Frank for what the coaching was going to be during timeouts.

01:29And Jason Kidd got upset about that and was very insecure about it and yelled at the
01:33guys, I'm the head coach, not Lawrence Frank.
01:36So he fired Lawrence Frank.
01:38Wow.
01:38But Lawrence Frank was only the guy they looked to because he ran all the practices.
01:43Jason didn't show up to a lot of practices.
01:45And when he did go to practice, the limited times he did, he didn't coach them.
01:50Lawrence Frank did.
01:51So the guys were all confused by it.
01:53And I'm looking at a guy who was a great player for sure.

01:56One of the great guards I've ever seen play.
01:58And a rightful Hall of Famer.
01:59And I'm saying to myself, what did he really ever get done in Dallas?
